(Retro Bout: Ca. 1980)

The producers of Wonder Woman had decided to produce a new series and wanted to consider Lynda Carter or Cathy Lee Crosby for the part. This took place about one year after Wonder Woman went off the air. The two beauties agreed to meet in a closed boxing ring set up on a sound stage. They did not know that several men had paid big money to sneak in to observe the fight. Both women agreed to wear their respective Wonder Woman outfits so the producers could get an idea as to the best costume. They also agreed to a match that would only end when one of them was knocked unconscious.

Lynda came into the ring looking luscious in her Wonder Woman costume, she still had the curves to fill it out.
Cathy looked great in her outfit also and her costume gave her more freedom of movement than Lynda's.

Rd 1 Both women seemed tentative to start off and circled each other warily. Then Lynda snapped Cathy's head back with a hard jab to the forehead. This ignited the smaller woman and she crunched a left hand into Lynda's stomach knocking the wind out of the beautiful Wonder Woman. Lynda slumped back and Cathy tried to land a haymaker but missed badly. Lynda regained her breath and smashed a right to Cathy's face at the bell.

Rd 2 The action heated up in this round as both women landed hard blows, with Lynda getting the best of it. Lynda floored Cathy with a hard blow to the face at the end of the round.

Rd 3 This round proved to be the turning point as Cathy changed her tactics and began to slip inside Lynda's blows and work on her stomach and breasts. Several hard blows to the breasts and belly had Lynda staggering. Then Cathy landed a crushing right cross to the jaw that send Lynda sprawling to the canvas. She got up her breasts heaving as she tried to get air. Cathy then hit her flush on the chin with a left hook and then a perfect right cross. It looked all over for Lynda as she fell to the canvas and remained motionless. Just when it looked like Lynda would be counted out, the bell rang. Lynda was saved for another round.

4th Rd Lynda had to be worked on between rounds. As the fourth round started Lynda realized she was going to have to knock Cathy out. She came out throwing haymakers but Cathy was faster and slipped them and began an assault on Lynda's breasts. A right smashed Lynda's left breast then another blow smashed her right one. Lynda groaned and staggered back. She dropped her gloves to protect her breasts and mid section. That's when Cathy went to work on Lynda's head. A crunching blow to the nose send Lynda into the ropes. Lynda came off the ropes and walked into a smashing uppercut. Down to the canvas she toppled face first. It looked all over for Lynda, but somehow she turned over and grabbed the ropes and pulled herself to her feet. Cathy was surprised that Lynda Carter could get up, but Cathy knew she had the upper hand. Lynda came forward on buckling legs and throw a weak punch at Cathy. Cathy blocked it and then said "Light's Out Lynda" and planted her feet and threw the best punch she had ever thrown. All her weight was behind the blow thrown with her right hand. It landed on the chin of the advancing Lynda with the force of a sledgehammer and Lynda was out before she hit the floor. Lynda fell spreadeagled to the floor flat on her back. The ref did not even bother to count. It was obvious the Lynda was knocked completely out. Cathy Lee Crosby was the undisputed Wonder Woman. Lynda flat on her back still looked beautiful, but she had met her match in the boxing ring.
