Rosamund is a girl with just one fight behind her, which she lost - badly, whereas Jill has fought 16 times on the FCBA circuit, winning 9 of them. This fight has the word 'mismatch' written all over it!

A nervous Rosamund enters the ring first, and she looks nice in a red one-piece outfit, but Jill outshines her in a black bikini.

Round 1

Jill looks a little lazy in the early exchanges, allowing Ros to clip her a few times with her jab, and she needs to be careful - Pike is a big girl, and those punches can hurt if you let her get into her stride. As the round continues, Jill begins to exert some authority, and she hurts Ros with a right hook to the jaw late on, making the big blonde clinch and hold.

Round 2

Rosamund makes a good start to the round, landing some neat jabs to Jill's face, but the American is unflustered, and is soon able to work the slower actress around the ring by cuffing her to the body. By the second half of the round, Pike is beginning to suffer, with Jill landing solid hooks to that aching ribcage.

Round 3

Jill starts slightly quicker this time around, her jabs soon clipping Rosamund's face, which is starting to redden, and making the Brit back off, following in with a few choice rights as well. Pike holds on, clinching, spoiling - she has learned how to defend herself - and the referee is working hard to pull the girls apart. By the bell, Rosamund is on the ropes, covering up as Jill tries to prise her defences open.

Jill takes the third.

Round 4

Rosamund lands a couple of jabs early, but Jill is soon taking control again, soon cuffing the big blonde's face with her accurate jabbing, while Ros counters by clinching when she can. Jill is becoming frustrated, and her punches untidy as she finds herself having to work for an opening, with most of her punches being taken by Ros on her gloves.

Round 5

Once again, Jill looks the more aggressive boxer, still looking to beat Ros by battering her head, but the blonde is able to defend this line of attack quite easily, and Jill is just getting more an more irritated, with the Brit content to let her tire herself out. In fact, by the bell, Rosamund's starting to get back into this fight, whipping some tasty little combination punches into Jill's face as she starts to look weary.

Round 6

Jill attacks Rosamund straight up, but she's overstretching herself as the big blonde weaves and sways, then Pike catches Wagner with a solid right hook to the ear when she's off balance, and she's hurt her. The brunette covers up now, grunting as the Brit starts out-muscling her, bumping her along the ropes, clubbing some good shots over her guard to the top of her head.

Round 7

Buoyed by her success in 6, it's Rosamund coming onto Jill now, the American being pushed to the ropes in the opening seconds, then Ros picks her off neatly, her left and right hooks taking their toll on that pretty face. Jill will not accept this situation, though, and by the end of the round she has begun to fight back, exchanging punches with the blonde and hurting her - a good right hook knocks the Brit backwards, but there just isn't enough time for her to follow up.

Round 8

This round the fight reverts to it's former pattern, with Jill battering away at a defensive Rosamund, who covers her face with her gloves, not wanting to be hurt again with that right hook. Jill is well on top, but she needs to press home her advantage, needs to show the blonde who's the boss, and now she gets a few blows into Ros's body for the first time since round 2, and that's got the blonde hurt, reeling backwards, then getting well punished to the ribs and flanks.

Round 9

Now Jill can take her toll on Rosamund, and she does! Lovely shots to the big blonde's midsection has her guard coming down, and that stubborn resistance is crumbling as Wagner rips into her face, left, left, right, left, right - down goes Pike, crumpling to the canvas for 8. The Brit gets up, but her legs have all but gone, and Jill swarms over her, landing to that red and bruising face at will, putting her down again with a solid right to the jaw, a brave Rosamund again up at 8, and Jill hasn't time to get at her again.

Round 10

She's exhausted, but determined, and Rosamund Pike tries to take the fight to Jill Wagner as the final round starts, but her strength has disappeared, and she's easily rebuffed by the American, who's looking for the knockout now, working the Brit around the ring, trying to stop her clinching and spoiling, but she's tired too, and she can't just land that telling punch. By the end of the round, both girls have accepted the result, .

Jill takes the final round, and the fight, easily outpointing Rosamund Pike - unanimous

After the fight, Rosamund slips quietly away, whilst Jill Wagner tells Christine Bleakley, "I wasn't happy with my performance tonight! Thing is, Rosamund's so goddam nice! I wanna fight a girl I can hate!"
