Selena has had a mixed UK tour, but this fight with Roxanne offers up a good chance to add a scalp to that of Samia Smith. Roxanne talks a good fight, but her defence is poor, and this may be another tough night for the Brit.

Roxanne is lovely as she parades the ring in black lacy bra and panties, outshining the young American in her white one-piece oufit, but when they meet mid-ring, the height and reach advantage for Selena is obvious.

Round 1

Both girls are moving well at the start, with Roxy looking the quicker of the two, their jabs both reaching out towards the other's face, although Selena's reach means that hers are landing far more solidly. Gomez is controlling the fight by the second half of the round, her confidence running high as she happily jabs the shorter girl, landing some good shots to the Brit's body, too, which have her grunting.

Round 2

The second round starts badly for Selena, the kid somehow letting Roxanne get inside her longer lead, enabling her to crunch some shots to her body, and she hasn't the techniqu to box her way out of trouble once she's on the ropes. Looking at her corner for guidance, Selena loses concentration, takes a couple of hooks to the jaw, and she's down - Gomez on her butt, looking up at a grinning Roxy, taking a count of 8. There's not much time left in the round, but Roxanne hurts Selena again with a hook, and the kid's knees are wobbling by the bell.

Round 3

Roxy's keen to press on with her attack, and she's looking to get inside that long lead again - not this time, though, as Selena backs off, throwing jabs as she goes, bumping the Brit's head around, giving her face enough attention to redden the skin up round the cheeks. By the second half of the round Roxanne's wilting, and Selena rocks her with a lovely left hook to the ear, which dazes her a little, the girl getting through the round by holding and grasping.

Round 4

It's a slow start from Roxanne as she moves towards Selena, and the younger girl soon pings her face with that long, looping jab, following up with some good right handers, too, and she's hurt the little Brit, who is already trying to hold on. The round continues with Selena whipping her gloves into Roxanne's face, the shorter girl finding it difficult to get through to the bell.

Selena gets another round notched.

Round 5

Selena is keen to get on with this now, and she's quickly into her stride, landing nicely to Roxanne's sore face, the Brit still failing to defend herself well enough against the young American's quick punches, and she's trying to cover up, almost cowering against the ropes. Selena needs to be cautious, her work becoming slightly untidy as she strives for the knockout, and this lets Roxy off the hook, giving her the chance to hit back with some of her own punches for a spell, even though the kid hurts her again before the bell, a series of shots to her body doing the damage this time.

Round 6

Blowing hard, tiring a little, Selena launches her first attack, two left jabs to Roxy's face, a right to the belly, another left to the face, and the older girl clinches as she rocks forwards, pushed back by the referee on the break. Selena's in again, same method, jab the face, straight right to the belly, another left jab, now a right to the mouth, and Roxanne hits the canvas, rolls from her side to try to rise, but is counted out with her face firmly on the floor.

Probably an expected win for Selena. The girl may stay in the UK for one more fight, probably with one of 'The Saturdays' girlband Frankie Sandford or Vanessa White.
