It hasn’t been a great year for the once-feared Pressly-=-false starts, mismanagement, long layoffs contributing to a frustrating decline, but she finally pulls together a consistent effort to turn back a flyweight stalwart in Abdul.

Pressly overcame brawling instincts to put together a very disciplined performance4, using her height and rangy movement to keep Paul midring, slashing at the shorter woman with deft right hands off a spring-loaded jab to the face, Abdul’s lone moment of glory came in the fourth when stubborn body work set up a clapping right/left on the jaw that put Pressly on her backside, but the song and dance legend couldn’t capitalize,. Pressly would go to win 9 of the 20 rounds, and closed the show in heroic fashion, unleashing a torrent of lanky-limbed power strokes to batter an exhausted, busted up Abdul into submission late.
