Upset has even staunch Doherty fans wondering if their girl has finally started to slide--long, hard, brawl-filled career catches up in a hurry with one of the bitterest competitors in FCBA history, leaving her a tired, shabby victim after 8 action packed rounds.

It Didn’t start out well for Kris as Doherty lowered her hands and brought it Debbe Dunning-style, swinging wide, stroking lefts and rights to panic the lithe young brunette into a series of awkward retreats, As the first three rounds went to Shannen wide, the only bright spot seemed to be Kreuk’s good head movement and upper body defense, preventing her from getting bombed out, but a Doherty Jo seemed only matter of time at this point.

Things changed in the fourth as Kreuk finally imposed some order with slinky lateral movement, tearing up Shannen in the belly and turning her around the ring. With mileage building up, Doherty became a more measured stalker, loading up and trying to take Kris out with one slinging right hand after another. Doherty’s output dropped, Kristin’s effectiveness rose--she patiently lured her girl around the ring, licked and dug at the ribcage and belly, and started to check the chin with doubled up hooks off Doherty missed right crosses, The stoppage was a shocked--with Shannen coming forward, face in her gloves, bent at the waist--Kris gave ground and slashed at her Chris Byrd-style, swatting hooks, stuffing right hands in behind the elbows, all one-way abuse until the ref stepped in! Doherty ashen-faced, disconsolate, just looked tired as she slumped in her corner, apparently all used up. Most call it an upset, but you have to winder if Shannen is still a 10 round fighter after a collapse like this against dainty-duked fighter like Kristin.
