BBU: Alesha Dixon in U.S. Tour

After her creditable performance against Serinda Swan, Alesha is back on parade against a bantamweight tonight, against the 26 year old Floridian actress Natalie, who lost her only FCBA contest back in 2008. This looks a soft return to action for the British singer, but she needs to show the younger girl some respect.

Alesha has chosen to wear a white bikini for this bout, with Natalie opting for a black one.

Round 1

Alesha starts confidently, jabbing Natalie's face early on, dancing and skipping around her, making her look slow and awkward. The actress is clearly ring-rusty, and she's having to take a pasting from the energetic Dixon, who is clearly enjoying the chance to fight a girl more her own size, rapping good left jabs and a few following rights into the girl's pretty face, which is already reddening by the bell.

Round 2

It's almost as if the girls hadn't stopped between rounds, as Alesha slips back into the routine of cuffing Natalie's face with her left jab, following up with some neat wipes across her mouth with that stinging right hook, gradually working the younger girl around the ring. It's a second successive bell to bell beating for poor Natalie, although she manages to get a couple of digs into the singer's body in the closing moments just to show she's still in the fight.

Second round to Alesha

Round 3

Alesha comes out keen and fast again in the third, needing to be thinking in terms of finishing this fight off quickly, and she's soon into her stride again, pumping those sharp left jabs into Natalie's red face, bringing bruises up on both cheeks at this stage, trying to trap Martinez on the ropes. But the American's not having it, and she turns Dixon beautifully, twists her onto the ropes, and thumps her nicely around the body, getting a couple of shots into the Brit's face too, and she's hurt her - Alesha's glad for the bell.

Natalie grabs a round back

Round 4

That break has done Alesha good, and she's swiftly out of her corner again, trying to get back into her jab and move routine - but she's rebuffed by a scowling Natalie, who is looking to land to that honed body again in this round, knowing she needs to break the singer down by working up close. The only thing is, she's getting in too close, and leaves herself open - bang, bang - Dixon rocks her with left and right hooks to the mouth, and Martinez is down, sitting on the canvas, then scrambling to her feet at 7, but she's hurt and not looking too good as she clinches and holds on for the remaining seconds.

Big round for Alesha

Round 5

Having got on top, Alesha needs to stay on top, and she is quickly into action again, popping her left jab easily into Natalie's face, the younger girl looking troubled when Dixon switches to her body - but she returns those body punches, and Dixon's showing some frailty there, backing off and crouching. Maybe the singer hasn't fully recovered from the beating Serinda Swan gave her body in her last fight, as she's certainly wincing now as Martinez knocks her back and puts her on the ropes, taking those shots and protecting her head, using almost 'rope a dope' tactics til the end of the round.

Natalie, all aggression, gets a round back

Round 6

Natalie is sensing Alesha's weakness now, and she attacks to the older girl's body right from the bell, hitting her regularly to the ribs, but it's at a cost, because she's not protecting herself at all, and this is allowing Alesha to smack her own, bruising punches into the younger girl's face, and the kid's really taking it from the singer, here.As the round wears on, it's clear that Natalie is having difficulty with her vision, and as she peers over Alesha's shoulder when they clinch, the damage she has suffered is clear - those eyes are almost bruised shut, and the round ends with the actress backed up to the ropes, taking a five shot barrage to the face, which she just about survives.

Round 7

It looks bad fo Natalie now as Alesha darts across the ring, gives her a poke in the belly with her left fist, then cuffs her to the face - right, left, right - and down goes Natalie, scrambling up again at 7, but she's in no condition to carry on in this fight - the referee helps her to her corner.

Alesha is pleased to have won again, but she'll need to up her game another notch if she's to take on bigger names. She's hoping to fight the likes of Beyonce and Britney Spears before too long, but will need a better defence.
