Man In The Hat: "And here comes the slip with the identity of the fighter for round nine and..."

“… all eyes on me in the center of the ring just like a circus ….”

Man In The Hat: "Hang on a minute here! Brit, what are you doin', kid? For the folks at home, the Champ here has shucked her announcers jacket, crisp white shirt and miniskirt and is now in her familiar boxing bikini … and I'm just noticin' she’s been wearing ring shoes all night! She's gettin her hands taped at ringside, givin me a sly little smile here! Put one over on ME? The Grand freakin’ Wizard of Flippin' Boxing?!!”

Britney (chuckling): “Sorry, Wiz!”

Man In The Hat: “Clear something up for me … I thought you and McCarthy were … you know … tight?”

Britney: “Look, we aren't enemies, but I remember what happened when we fought, when I was down and rudderless. Besides, she wants a gauntlet of top fighters? Well, you can't have one of those without ME!”

Man In The Hat:  "They’re calling for you in the ring,. champ! Knock her dead!”

Britney: “Bank on it, Wiz!  This whole 'Gauntlet’ promotion is a circus and what’s a circus without a ringmaster! Now if you’ll excuse me … I have a lioness to tame!”

Man In The Hat: “Well fans … looks like it’s just the Wizard for this one? Wait … hey Jenny … Jenny O’Dell? Hop in here, champ … grab a mic!”

Jenny O’Dell:   “Hi Wiz … didn’t expect to be doing commentary tonight!”

Wiz: “Looked great in the ring, kid! Anytime … I mean, ANYTIME … you get to thinking comeback – you call Front Street first, ok?”

Jenny O’D (laughing): “Not happening, Wiz! I am enjoying promotion – this was just a one night thing! Jenny Mac and I had made our peace and that’s not gonna change but … I did get just a liiiiiiiittle tired of hearing her say she ‘retired’ me! Thought I did pretty good for an old girl, eh?”

Wiz: “Old girl? You’re younger than freaking McCarthy! And you won the round, kid! Maybe you could come over to Front Street and do some trainin'..."

Jenny O’D: "Oops … time to cut the chit chat … we've got a fight to call! McCarthy out of corner … little bounce in her legs … looks like she’s finally shaken off the KO Ali Mack laid on her. Britney in crouch … stalking as McCarthy circles right … McCarthy sticking with the jab … finding Brit … occasionally snapping the head back when Mac plants and really commits … say what you want, Wiz, the girl CAN box …”

Man In The Hat (grumbling): “We got a fight here or a track meet? Those jabs couldn’t bust a pane of glass! Kid …. Kid … cut heroff … don’t let her circle …”

O'Dell: Spears cuts the ring. Jenny Mac now flatfooted and for first time throws an overhand right in combination with the jab and scores! Knocks Spears head back again. Jenny doubles the hook to ribs. Britney late with wild hook up top as Jenny spins out and reclaims center of ring. Spears unhurt but looking a little flustered."

Man In The Hat: “Pressure, Kid, pressure! She’s got nine rounds on those old worn out legs already! Make her work … make her work! No rest!”

Jenny O’D: “And there is Britney applying the pressure and closing the gap. This has been McCarthy’s round and we are fast approaching the last minute … McCarthy high with the jab as Britney slips it and erupts out of crouch with
hook to the jaw! Just about knocked the taste out of Jenny’s mouth! Jenny backpedalling … legs still look good … but she’s flicking the jab instead of committing to it and Britney Spears is willing to walk right through it to get at Mac … Jenny stops .. digs in...fires left to ribs … brings right up into sternum … glancing blow … overhand right off top of Brit’s head …”

Man In The Hat (out of seat): "... McCarthy hurt! Britney caught her square to the liver with that hook and she ain't takin' it well! Spears with hands on McCarthy shoulders ... just muscling her to the ropes ......thirty seconds left ... Spears with left hook to the ribs ... another to ribs ... McCarthy looking sick ... not answering back ... ten seconds ... and Britney twists into the uppercut to the chin ... lifts Jenny out of that crouch ... McCarthy grabs on desperately .... looking to clinch ... Spears wrestling to get hands free ... and theeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the bell to end round seven!"

Jenny O’D: “WOW …. That’s what I call closing the show! But bit too little too late maybe? Close round ….”

Man In The Hat: “Not close … not close … Spears round!”

Jenny O’D: “Judges conferring …. Here it comes … 10-9 … McCarthy!”

Man In The Hat: “What fight were THEY watching?!!”

Jenny O’D: “Two round to go and Jenny McCarthy has closed the gap again! Score stands at Gauntlet 84 … McCarthy 83!!!”
