Before: Scott’s handlers positioning their girl for big things--they’ve seen her perform as an underdog--tonight she’ll have to show she can dominate when expected to do so. “Peet’s a solid journeywoman,” says one knowledgeable scribe, “nothing fancy, but she comes in shape, she comes to fight, and if Ashley’s nothing more than the flavour of the week--Amanda will expose her.” Pressure on Scott to be more than plucky--she needs to demonstrate totally supremacy to make jaded pundits into semi-believers. Amanda in plain white bra and panties, ponytail--Scott in hot pink push up panties, blonde curls.

During R1: Midring, Peet gets to Scott with a pair of jagged rights, reloading and pounding quick from the shoulder to tap Ashley’s jaw as Scott leans to her right. Scotty adjusting with her legs, outclassing the rudimentary brunette--end of the first minute--Ashley’s legging to her left, dressing Peet up with the body and head jabs--brunette not discouraged, hands up, parrying and moving forward. Scotty changing directions, letting her feet dictate tempo--everything’s nice and easy until Ashley stops, drives a pounding right to the teeth, slams a straight left to face, doubles up to loop the hook to chin and caps the combo off a slashing right on the mouth--PEET GOES DOWN! Gorgeous, blistering 4 punch burst detonates off Amanda’s shocked face, outs her on her back, and it’s OVER! Stunning KO! As Peet able to sit upright, but can’t get off her badly numbed buttocks.

After: Scott hoisted high and paraded around the ring on shoulders of jubilant corner men--no surprises, no struggle and no drama--Ashley just comes in, gets a showcase--pretty much a Babe-Ruth called homer and Scotty’s looking goooood. “I don’t want to hear anymore doubts about my talent level,” says a preening Scott in post fight. “Amanda goes rounds with everybody, and she’ll beat ‘A’ girls if they don’t train right. I just turned Peete into a hobo--I’m too focused, too fast and too sexy for anyone but the best girls out there.” Awfully impressive--the one thing Scott didn’t show was heavy hands against Charlize--tonight she demonstrates that speed and placement can get the job done just as effectively.
