Results: Simguy Write-Up: Knowlesey

A return to the FCBA ring for Kelly in this bantamweight matchup for her first fight since December 2009, and the stocky blonde America is peering up at the statuesque French girl who is best part of 4 inches taller. Age difference? Forget it – Elodie’s just 2 months Kelly’s senior.

Kelly gets in the ring first, pretty good in a black bikini, with Elodie following quickly in a red one piece. Both girls are glaring at each other.

Round 1

The girls start warily, but Kelly’s recent lack of fights seems to be counting against her, and Elodie hurts Kelly early in the round, picking the shorter girl up with her neat little jabs, she shocks her with a cuffing right hook. Clarkson’s on her heels at this stage, and just can't impose her will on the French girl, who outboxes her throughout to take the round.

Round 2

Ignoring what’s happened so far, Kelly recovers well from that disappointing start, and she just bullocks forward, pushing and thumping the classy French girl around, she takes Elodie to the ropes, and really starts to work the girl over, shoving and slugging her like an old fashioned prizefighter . Frege has the skill to clip the shorter girl coming in, but really all she’s able to do against this sort of assault is to manageg her defence under pressure.

Round 3

Kelly’s enjoying her work now, giving Frege plenty of heavy thumps to that slender body of hers, each punch the American lands seems to hurt her and make her squeak. Clarkson’s well on top at this stage, with a stooping, damaged Frege just trying to keep her at bay with those jabs – pretty ineffective, though, sadly.

Round 4

Kelly starts to get more adventurous now, feeling she has her girl softened up enough to the body, she gets home with one, two, three shots at a time to that pretty face, and there are some big shots coming Elodie’s way now. This is looking bad for Frege, who is gradually breaking down through this round, giving Clarkson all the confidence she needs, and Kelly gets her with a good left hook to the mouth late in the round at the end of a brutal little spell, which has Elodie on the canvas, almost flat on her back, dizzy when she rises at 8, and lucky the round ends.

Round 5

Can Kelly finish this off now? She’s certainly trying to, as she swarms all over Frege, batting the girl’s face pretty heavily in the opening stages, she then pts her to the ropes, hitting her at will. And Clarkson’s enjoying this even more now as she pummels the French girl on the ropes, the taller singer seemingly unable to respond.

Round 6

After such a desperate beating, it’s a surprise to see Frege coming so actively out of the pocket - she's still on the ropes, but countering well, and she shocks Clarkson with swift combination punches to the face, at last using her reach. Kelly tries to get inside that long lead to club Elodie’s body, but the girl’s tying the American up inside to smother her work, and doing enough to steal the points.

Round 7

Having received a lecture between rounds, Kelly lays siege again, and she’s simply battering Frege into covering up. The taller girl is finding this difficult again now, taking a lot of punches to her ribs and flanks, looking hurt, with a few tears now leaking from her eyes. Elodie is suffering here, unable to use her stylish boxing skills, and she just ties Kelly up when she can.

Round 8

Right form the bell, Kelly lays into Elodie’s body, relly wanting to hurt the girl and put her away, smashing the taller girl to the ropes to give her a beating. Frege’s defence is in chaos, her body taking so much punishment, and Clarkson drops her to the canvas in second minute, those ripping shots to the flanks putting the girl on all fours at her feet for an 8 count. This might be it for Elodie – she doesn’t have a reputation for resilience, but she shows it tonight in picking herself up, only to keep taking punishment to that poor torso of hers.

Round 9

This is getting cruel – Kelly’s punches are ripping into Elodie’s body in waves, and she clubs her into the ropes, still looking to break the French girl down some more, amazed at her stubbornness. Poor Elodie is still trying to box, even though she’s getting beaten up, blocking, rolling and clinching wherever possible, but close up is not the place to be with the powerful snorting Kelly Clarkson, and the girl is surely worn down and ready to go.

Round 10

Looking to finish Elodie off, Kelly attacks again, carelessly coming forward to batter the French girl’s body, but this time she runs into trouble. What a shock to Kelly and fightfans alike as there’s some vicious counterpunching from Elodie Frege, and she puts Kelly down, the American getting up at 5, but Frege goes over to offence! Has anyone seen the girl fight like this before? It’s all Frege to the bell as she goes for the knockout, with Kelly now stacked against ropes, taking a beating, nothing left, her knees barely holding her up, but making it through a tough round..

Kelly Clarkson, gets a good comeback UD10 over Elodie Frege, but Elodie showed something tonight she’s never shown before – heart! Maybe she can move on from this and start winning if she believes in herself.
