BEFORE: "Aly's good," Candice admits in prefight, "but I'm good too, and I think Aly gets too much attention - especially when you consider what she has actually done. I know you guys think I have no chance, but I have lots of chances to beat Aly. I don't want to brag, but more and more I feel that I'M the face of the CW and Aly needs to respect that." Aly smiling, being the outgoing, confident favourite in prefight: "Accola IS good - I wouldn't be fighting her if she weren't," Aly allows, "but Candice is a second tier, B+ fighter, and that's going to show in this fight. I expect her to be competitive most of the time - but even when she's fighting her best, I'll be chiseling out points and breaking her down. And when she has a let down? Look for me to pounce!" Aly in purple bikini, small black gloves; hair in loose blonde ringlets. Candice in navy sport bikini top shot through with baby blue plaid pattern; navy sport bikini bottoms; small powder-blue mitts; hair loose/tangled.

During R1: Aly playful with Candice early - pawing the jab from a slight crouch; right hand loose at chest...when Accola answers, Aly slides backward while slapping wide check hooks and looking to walk Candi into the right hand. Accola businesslike - keeping dukes up, elbows in, chin tucked...she's probing with her jab, trying to step in strong and fit Michalka for right hands to chin. Down the stretch, Aly's fall-away counterpunching hits paydirt...Accola caught a check-hook coming forward...while she's startled, Aly suddenly leans into a drifting right - punching Candi in between her mitts and dropping her to all fours. Accola up quick, but buzzed, blinking: Aly smirking, making menacing eye-contact after the bell.

R2: Aly changing tack - now she's up on that lead (left) leg, flick-flicking pesky jabs as she's twirling clockwise. Any pressure from Candi gets met with a bolo right uppercut from Aly: Michalka routinely punching Accola back outside, then getting back to nibbling at her. Candi forming rigid earmuffs, leaning forward in confusion: Aly smacking away with buggywhip rights to Candi's left armpit/lats; jabbing Candi's guard; hooking Candi's gut.

R3: Good workmanlike pressure from Accola - leaning forward, working Aly's waistline. Minute mark - gorgeous, supple right uppercut from Michalka picks Candi up out of her crouch, then dropping her to all fours: Aly brightens, lifts mitts and sashays away from her blubbering foe. Candi up at 8, ready to go, but it's the Aly Michalka circus all over again. Michalka tormenting Candice with the buggywhip right in the lats; bolo right uppercuts stomach and chin; lashing/batting left hooks of opportunity. Aly bouncing on that lead (left) leg of hers, hands in loose arrangement - just really outclassing Candice here.

SLOW-MO REPLAY DURING THE BREAK: Candice forward in crouch, hands at cheeks...Aly leaning in, lifting the right uppercut to Candi's chin...Accola's head rising up off her gloves. Aly's facial profile to the left of your screen - her mouth open, eyes wide; Aly's right fist in close to her shoulder (nice tight delivery on the shot); Candi's face to the right of your screen - her eyes shut, eyebrows arched high, mouth open in dismay...just a great image of one girl devastating another with compact force.

R4: Aly steps up the heat - forcing Candice into a cowering face-in-gloves configuration. Leads to the bandy-limbed, whiplash beating of a lifetime for pretty Accola - Candice crying out into her gloves as Michalka gets off rangy. Supple, slinging action on Aly's rights and lefts to Candi's flanks; sleek, succulent leverage on right uppercuts against Candi's guard; cuff-cuffing hooks whacking Candi upside the head. Accola buffetted off-stance...Aly bouncing easily on left leg - working in/out and around - tour de force whirlwind punching sees Candice visibly break down under spanking touches. It's all too much - steady lather leaves Candice vulnerable to a bolo right uppercut between the mitts...Accola's head pops up...she totters backwards, hitting ropes all sleepy and blinking. Aly bops in to finish, but ref sees Accola lolling limp on ropes, steps in to save her. TKO4 Aly Michalka.

After: Beaming Michalka raising her mitts, doing a ring-card-girl strut around the ring...CW headliner hands down the law in decisive fashion to a potential rival tonight. "Am I sweating?" Aly jokes in postfight, "I thought I felt a bead of sweat there for a second. Anyway: Candi gave a good show - took a lot of punches, but this was an Aly Michalka showcase start to finish! I'm best in show - period - end of story. CW girls can grumble about that all they want, but if they step to me, they're gonna get hurt!"
