Before: Battle of Rookie Vixens--Longoria a little more polished, but Burton a great strapping lass at 110--blonde looking to solve Latina smooth with a good old-fashioned work effort. "Eva's slick and tough--that's a deadly combination," admits Hilarie in prefight, "but I'm stronger and willing to bet: tougher. I'm bringing heart and grit to this fight that I just don't think Eva has." Longoria slightly ruffled at tuff-talking TE ingenue, sets the record straight. "Obviously Hilarie hasn't really scouted me--otherwise she'd know I came up the hard way. Daytime leaves losers sobbing in the gutter, believe me. I've been in with bigger and tougher than Hilarie Burton." Hilly in black push up, red and black plaid trunks--Longoria in punching pinks (bra and panties) from "Desperate Housewives."

During R1: Longoria loose in the shoulders, right hand under her chin, left relaxed across her gut, feinting Hilly, stepping to either side gauging blonde's footwork. Hilarie more rigid: right hand at her temple, left shoulder height, looking to step in and jab strong. End of minute one--Burton systematically cutting iff the ring, spears in the stick: Longoria smoothly slipping inside Hilly's left, licking a Trinidadesque sliding hook across Burton's chops and HILLY SCOOTS TO HER BACKSIDE! Astonishment on Hilarie's face as she sits up, knuckles on canvas behind her--Eva smiling sweetly, prancing to the neutral corner, Buzzing 8 for Hilly--she's back trying to find Eva with jab--cutey pie Latina dipping to either side, labelling blonde jaw stroking lefts and chopping rights--almost effortless work from Longoria has Latina smiling breezy. Burton backing up from accurate shellack, stops punching: Longoria keys on chin loead right, slicing left, steps and gets that hook AGAIN and HILLY GOES DOWN! Burton bounced off her backside to her left shoulder with a scorched look of pain--she rolls awkwardly to all fours, getting up shaky. Shabby 8 Burton, eyes wide, shaking her head and ON COMES EVA! Longoria jabbing Burton upright at the ropes, then jabbing her exposed tummy, then: hook, hook on the chin--short right hand snapped down off the teeth, rising hook on the button. Crowd roaring as fluid Latina combinations light Burton up like a Christmas tree at the bell--Hilly swooning, staring in shock as Eva pounds away to a 10-7 first!

R2: Hilarie's size, ruggedness coming into play--she shakes off slender Latina wallop, continues to make the fight in the second;. hilly with the right at her temple, steps in the jab hard, stiff--Eva respecting it, fading away and circling, still smilking. Burton able to gain territory if not hurt her foe--blonde coming forward, herding Longoria somewhat, occasionally roughing Eva up at the ropes until Longoria can slide to the side and spin out. Round to Burton--Longoria content to play defense and draw her blonde out.

R3: Burton growing in confidence--getting the jab on Eva now, spanking her with it, moving her around, Burton chopping the right from its high position, then clawing back with her hook--Longoria being stroked off balance, forced to cover up as Hilly gets big, Midway through, Burton lands a baseball bat hook across ribs underneath Longoria's elbows, drawing breathy grunt from Latina: Eva's legs freeze up--she tilting forward shook. Burton mopping up large--going ribcage with bashing rights and lefts, sweeping her hook round Eva's shoulder to gather her in and hacking cheek with that hatchet right hand. Bell to bell Burton wipes the smile off Eva's face: Longotia's trunks wobbling badly en route to her corner.

R4: It's a fight--both girls stung, both ratcheting up the intensity oin pretty fsaces. Eva darting in and out, scoring in the step-in with lead rights, jabs anmd shirt-arm hooks, Hilarie well-schooled, trying to maintain her height letting Longoria take risks and hoping to nail smaller girl coming in. Eva gets away with it, striping Hilarie with biting punches to scoop the round.

R5: Hilarie finally gertting the range on her jab--intercepting Longoria rushes, halting Eva on the spot, then ringing her up those rigid tomahawk rights. Longoria's legs rebel--she's bogging down on Hilarie's jab, then taking a pasting as rangy blonde starts putting rights and lefts together. Eva wilting to the ropes, covering up, letting Hilly pound away and LONGORIA TAKES A KNEE! Eva snivelling, torso trembling from Burton's bashing assault--daytime vet buys time and nods hard for the ref to let it go on. ON COMES BURTON! Hilarie rangy at the ropes, smashing away lead rights, clubbing hooks, propping Eva with tough forearm and elbow nudges. Burton smart, going to that wriggling little brunette body with crunching right hands--Eva cries out and cringes to all fours, teeth gnashing in pain from a blow to her floating rib. Quaking 8 Longoria--Burton pacing, scowling in neutral corner and ON COMES HILARIE! Eva trying to make like Claire Danes along the ropes, bending, slipping, but she's SO hurt! Burton POURING it on--great slender-limbed strapping lefts and rights--not much science but plenty of wiry muscle and EVA GOES DOWN! Longoria to her back, right wrist at her forehead, mouth parted--legs out straight, belly rhythmically rising and falling--SHE'S DONE! KO5 Hilarie Burton.

After: Some calling it an upset--Longoria just too classy early, but the strength and effervescent punching of Burton gobbles svelte brunette up. "Strangely enough," Burton bubbloes in postfight, "I felt good after she knocked me down. I wasn't reallu hurt--I just wasn't expecting her speed and I wasn't seeing the punches, but I came out of the first knowing she couldn't hurt me. Then it was just me walking her down and punishing her I really want to credit Cat Bell along with my training staff: she was very generous with het time and gave me all sorts of advice on how to handle a quicker, slicker girl like Eva. I can't begin to tell you what it means to have every day access to a btain like Cat's in camp."
