Former BBU welterweight champion Javine is probably lucky that this fight was agreed before her defeat by Kelli Young, with Mandy Moore possibly concluding her brief stay in the UK having needed a long period of recuperation after her crushing defeat by Denise Lewis.

The girls enter the ring from opposite sides, with Javine in a dark blue bikini and Mandy in pink one-piece outfit.

Round 1

Mandy's a little taller than Javine, and has a couple of inches on her in reach, and she's making that reach tell in the early part of the round, cuffing the Brit with nice jabs, moving well, and avoiding Hylton's powerful hooks. Javine tries to move Mandy into the ropes in the latter stages, but she can't get any leverage as the American ties her up, and looks a far better boxer.

Round 2

Still Mandy's moving well, and she's beginning to bother Javine already with that jab, the Brit's head being constantly jerked backwards as the American hits her. Hylton tries to counter attack, but she looks slow by comparison, and Mandy's just jabbing her stupid, with the Brit now backing off, trying to draw Mandy in for a toe-to-toe, which, she avoids, smiling as she dominates the girl.

Round 3

Out bounds a frisky Mandy Moore, once again smacking her neat jabs into Javine's face, with the English girl struggling to handle this now, being worked around the ring like a novice, and she gets herself backed into a corner midround, having to take shots to her body as well. But this plays into Javine's hands a little, with Mandy getting a little too close, getting caught herself with Hylton's heavier punches, and a right hook from the Brit has her knees quivering, with the American having to hold on at the bell.

Round 4

Mandy's been slowed a little by that right hook, and she gets bullied at the start of the round by a resurgent Javine, who closes the taller girl down a little too easily, pushing her and poking her with good punches to the body. Mandy won't get trapped though, and she's still trying to box Javine, still landing enough jabs in the girl's face to stop her from launching an all-out attack on her, but even so, Javine is hurting her with those bodyshots, and Mandy is twisting a little by the close.

Round 5

Javine is feeling now that she can hurt Mandy, and she comes forward from the bell this time, ruffling the American up at close quarters, manhandling the girl a little as she pulls her to the ropes to bodybeat, which earns her a rebuke from the referee, followed by a flurry of jabs from Mandy, who takes advantage of the situation. Now Mandy turns Javine onto the ropes, connects with those nice jabs, but the older girl just punches her back, one two three shots to that pretty face, and Mandy almost goes down, takes two hefty blows to the belly, and is sluming by the bell.

Round 6

Javine comes out looking to ease Mandy out of this fight, but she's a little too eager, and gets caught quite badly rushing in, with Moore's jabs now causing some damage to the Brit's face, her mouth beginning to leak blood. It's a slightly sorry-looking Javine who gets pumped to the ropes by the middle of the round, and she looks quite weary as Mandy knocks her head back and forth with well timed hooks to the face, the singer clinching and leaning for best part of the final minute to save herself taking any more.

Mandy takes control again

Round 7

Mandy lands well early in the round, hitting Javine hard enough to have her quaking slightly, and she starts to work the older girl around the ring again, landing punches repeatedly in her swelling face, once again almost putting the Brit down with a stinging right hook. Still Hylton survives by clinching and holding, and it must be hard work for Moore to almos have to carry her opponent around the ring.

Mandy wins another round

Round 8

Still Mandy is boxing beautifully, her jabs cuffing Javine repeatedly, a nasty lump on her right cheek to show the damage done, buts she's beginning to weaken herself now, and is getting pushed back by the strong Brit, finally getting stuck against the ropes where Javine gets into her ribs. Mandy is getting hurt at this stage, and tries to get off those ropes, but she hasn't got the strength left to turn the tough singer, who is now getting some shots into her face, too.

Round 9

For the first time, Mandy is looking second best in this fight, with Javine's hard right hooks soon staggering her as they land to her face. When Hylton gets a solid left shot into Mandy's belly, it's almost too much for the girl, who slumps forwards into the Brit's arms, laying on her and holding to stay upright. Once they are broken by the referee it is clear that Mandy is really hurt, and she fails to stop Javine lnading two straight lefts to her face, the second one enough to put her on the floor. Mandy gets up at 6, looks wek, but lasts the remaining seconds by covering her face whilst Javine rips into her body.

Round 10

Javine wants to finish this fight, but Mandy has some energy left - not enough to swap punches, but enough to stay clear, and the first minute or so pass without the older girl laying a glove on her. Sadly for Mandy, once Javine is able to catch up with her, she hurts her with a batch of good shots to her body, then has her sprawled against the ropes after landing a right hook to her face, not quite having enough time left to knock the girl out.

Javine showed her durability in this fight, but for Mandy it was a tough defeat, and maybe her little tour of the UK has not done her a lot of good?
