BBU International Fight

This matchup pits two skilful boxers against one another, but will the unbeaten 22 year old English singer be able to get the upper hand against the in-from 31 year old American actress?

First into the ring, Rochelle parades in her white bikini, soon to be joined by Jill in her pale blue one, and both girls are H O T!

Round 1

These girls are tall, lithe - and quick! Jabs are exchanged in the opening seconds, with maybe Jill landing the better shots, but Rocheel plugs away nively, keeping her distance, skipping in and out of range, landing enough punches to keep Jill occupied. Jill looks the stronger girl as the round draws to a close, though, and she has Rochelle rocked late on with a solid combination to her face, batting her jaw from both sides.

Round 2

Jill is again landing the heavier jabs as both girls continue to head hunt in this fight, and by knocking Rochelle's head back so often is beginning to open the youngster up a little to be given some follow up right hand punches. The Brit is looking a little outclassed at this stage, with Jill firmly bumping her around the ring, not at this stage able to really let her have it with a sustained attack though, as Rochelle is bopping her on the retreat with her own jab.

Round 3

Two rounds down, Rochelle increases her hand and leg speed from the bell, and Jill doesn't look quite so comfortable now as the younger girl's jabs squeeze between her gloves and into her face fairly regularly. It's tough to keep up a fast pace throughout a round though, and Rochelle gets caught once she begins to slow, taking the best punch of the fight so far - straight right to the mouth - and still comes back.

Round 4

Rochelle is quicker than Jill again in the early exchanges, and she's packing some power in those jabs too, now, enough to have Jill popping backwards a little, forcing the American to box on the retreat this time. Rochelle is gaining confidence, and she begins to bore in on Jill, the older girl needing to use her experience to clinch and wrap the Brit up, leaning on as much as possible, just trying to tire her, slow her down.

Round 5

It's another quick, all-action start from Rochelle, with her swift left jabs now landing often enough to have Jill's face marking up - not badly, just a little bruising to the cheekbones, but she is starting to look like the real deal, prising Jill's defence open and looking to pick her apart. As the final minute approaches, Rochelle for the first time goes for Jill's body and backs her up to the ropes, looking even more in control, she then tries for a clubbing right hook, but it's telegraphed, blocked, and leaves her open to Jill's counter punching, the older girl for the first time landing a series of punches, left and right hands, all landing in Rochelle's face, mostly the mouth, and she really hurts her with a left hook to the ear on the bell.

Round 6

After finishing the fifth so strongly, it's no surprise to find Jill starting quickly in the sixth, and she's right in Rochelle's face from the bell, looking to bully the younger girl, put her off her game plan. It works, too, as the singer's defence becomes ragged, Jill now landing some of her best punches of the fight so far to the youngster's face, straight left and right hand punches starting to take their toll as the actress works her around the ring. Rochelle is doing her best to clinch and hold, but it's tough for her against a girl with Jill's experience, and she is almost inevitably in trouble late in the round, trapped in Jill's corner of all places, and the American unloads - thudding big shots into the Brit's face with her left, she almost turns Rochelle's face sideways, so that when the follow up hook arrives, it smashes straight into her mouth, splitting both lips, and Rochelle sags - can Jill finish her off? No, there's the bell!

Round 7

Patched up, but swollen-faced and tired, Rochelle is amazingly quick to get back in the action, and she shocks Jill by taking the fight to her again, the older girl clearly having sensed victory. Jill is again looking to bully Rochelle to the ropes, but the kid stands her ground and, as a distracted Jill Wagner closes in on her, she gives her a swift one-two to the face, follows it with a good right to the belly, and it's Jill holding on and suffering again, Rochelle just pushing her off in time to smack her with a left, right, left flurry in the final seconds.

Round 8

Jill eases back a little further now, not willing to mix it like she was, and Rochelle's speeding it up again, her left hand punches now damaging the actress's face, a bruised lump on her cheek thretening to close her eye, and all she seems to be able to do is clinch, hold and spoil at the moment. Jill's exhausted at this stage, and needs to tire Rochelle by making her wade around the ring carrying her weight, landing to the Brit' body up close as well.

Round 9

There's not much contact in the early part of this round, with both girls well-nigh spent, but Rochelle begins to drag up some energy from the midpoint on, gaining more when she realises Jill has nothing left, and she's got those punches landing nicely, with Jill still 100% on the defensive. By the end of the round, JIll is taking a good pounding to her body as Rochelle does her best to beat the girl.

Round 10

There's no urgency about Jill as the round starts - maybe she is ready to go - and it's Rochelle taking the initiative, cuffing the actress around the face, then looking to work to her body, Jill still leaning on her, restricting herself to a few short-arm hooks to the youngster's body. There's a minute left, with Rochelle now also spent, looking to run down the clock, when Jill summons up an enormous effort and launches a furious attack, smashing two left hooks into the singer's mouth for starters, bumping a right into her jaw, another left to the flank, and another, a right to the ear, a left to the mouth - Rochelle's going - another left to the mouth, a right to the belly - bell! The fight's over.

The decision was unanimous, but each judge had it by just one point.

Jill has just lost her first fight for nearly a year, and Rochelle is still unbeaten - maybe she is as good as she thinks she is.
