Before: "Going toe to toe with Dani proved that I'm tuff, and that I belong in the FCBA," Kat gushes in prefight. 'I'm not expecting that kind of fight from Beverly. No offence to Bev, but she's worn out and easily discouraged: I'll rev up my punching, get into her breadbasket, and you guys'll see what I'm really packing when I get going!" Bev scowling...plucky little CW journeywoman generally thought to be a cut below FCBA elite, but she's not enjoying the Dennings assessment in prefight. "Kat's in for a rude awakening," Bev insists at podium. "I'm a hard puncher and I take no guff in that ring: she's going to have to work hard for every inch of canvas, and it doesn't sound like she's prepared to do that. This could be the break-out I've been looking for - the chance to get over big on some flavour-of-the-hour tramplet!" Kat in baby blue bra/panties; white gloves; hair loose. Bev in pink (almost mauve) bra/panties; white gloves; hair loose.

During R1: Not much sorting to be done - girls edge together - Kat chops a right hand as Bev's covering up - Mitchell snug inside, right hand stacked atop left at her chest, in between Kat's mitts. Scrubbing and bumping results - Bev nudging mitts into Kat's breasts; bumping her tummy; trying the odd right uppercut to chin. Dennings crowding close - backside working hard as she steps Bev around in the pocket...she's cuffing at Bev's flanks or ears, keeping her head in close to Bev in between punching. Bev separates herself late, pushing forward with her face nuzzling Kat's neck while right hand pumps repeatedly to tummy, putting the Dennings backside in ropes at bell.

R2: Bev's back inside - girls snuggle-punching each other, walking each other around. Mitchell doing the best work via those shoveling right hands to Kat's paunch: Dennings grimacing grumpy as Bev's tucked in close, and shoving for points.

R3: Fight burbles along ropes as girls take turns on top. Kat getting her hips back a bit, creating a bit more room to turn on punches - she's starting to clobber away on Bev's head-and-shoulders in side to side wallopings. Mitchell scowling in the pocket, always trying to set up on Kat's chest and dig at her middle...Bev spending too much time on the ropes to get her agenda across in the third.

R4: Action still close - forehead on forehead in most cases - but girls not snuggle-punching and smothering as much. Fighters getting off in turns, banging away on rival paunches downstairs; clubbing short punches off shoulders/ears in grinding exchanges. Kat starting to punch Bev off-stance at times - aggressively getting into Mitchell and pushing her around...constant slug-and-bump goes Dennings way close.

R5: Determined Bev gets position, walks Kat to ropes, starts shoveling in that right hand to paunch while pressing her mouth inside Kat's left shoulder. Dennings grimacing with the effort of trying to squirm out from under: Bev using palms on Kat's hips to keep her pinned down, then laying on and shoving home righty. Mitchell with great coverage here - bodying Kat against ropes, trapping her, then cramming her full of right hands...poor Kat Dennings just can't get her buns off the ropes. We don't see Kat's wobbly-butt till after the bell, when she's moping back to her corner.

R6: Great effort from Kat to wrestle-reverse Bev into ropes...fighters once again taking turns on top as fight stumbles along the apron. Girls heads and faces grinding...hands constantly working for position, or to push opposing arms out of the way...fists slamming into tummies or jamming into jug...hot and sweaty work getting done in a phonebooth here. Kat proving stronger in the trenches this time, spending most of the round with Bev underneath her and suffering.

R7: Kat bodying Bev to ropes - pushing her down - opening up a bit on her. Dennings taking some big, healthy cuts as Bev covers up butt-in-ropes...Mitchell in earmuff, grimacing as punches spank-bounce off her flanks and shoulders. Nice methodical shove-and-slug applied by Kat here - she's reaching in under Bev's arm, chesting her to ropes, keeping hips back to belt away on Mitchell, then repeating the process as necessary.

R8: Same again, only it's Bev squirming her way on top, opening up to shell Kat as Dennings shows earmuff off the ropes. Big fat, spanking whacks bouncing off either Dennings flank...then Mitchell's crowding close to shove home righty to breadbasket in tight.

r9: Girls holding and hitting - wrapping with the left around opponent's shoulders, then pumping in righty to belly/breasts. Fight tumbling along ropes - exhausted little battlers cranky from punishment and exertion - whining and grunting as they wrestle each other around. Sloppy, messy stuff - Mitchell generally in control, securing that all important top position at ropes to get in the extra right hands.

R10: Bev Mitchell closes the show - pancaking Kat to ropes, reaching in on her, smothering her, and feeding her the odd punch in the body to prevent ref from issuing break. Squirming, wriggling stuff as Dennings writhes to get out from under - trapped and controlled by a very patient, determined Bev Mitchell at every step. Not a lot of punches, but all of it one-way from Bev into Kat...Mitchell basically shoving in righty to paunch, then bodying up to smother receipts. Bell sounds...Bev's still putting a tummy on Kat, still working her over until ref physically peels Mitchell off. Comes back UD10 Bev Mitchell in hard-working style.

AFter: Shock, exhaustion and devastation on Kat Dennings' face: tummy to tummy all night long with Bev Mitchell and the veteran proved the better woman. "The key was to get on her, and frustrate her," Beverly grins all shiny-cheeked in postfight. "Kat's a puncher - likes to just set and get off...I knew if I could get a tummy on her and bog her down, she'd hate it. Got some awesome punching done myself - really took it to the kid's body. I wore her out tonight, just like I figured...Bev Mitchell's still got it, folks!"
