BEFORE: "Minka knows - she KNOWS - I'm stronger," Duff contends in prefight, her index finger jabbing down onto the podium top. "She's helpless when I get her on the ropes...I'm just gonna be shoving her and beating her up all night. One thing about Minka - she's not a quitter - so I know I've got to put the work in. But I'm better. She's going to have to accept that after this fight!" Minka just as cutey/determined when it's her turn. "As much as I hate that Elisha's on top of us right now," Mink allows, "Hilary was INSUFFERABLE when she was champ. She wasn't ready to be champion and it showed - and whatever Elisha can do to Hilary, I can do too. She thinks she's strong and tuff, but whatever - I'm just as stubborn as she is, and I think SHE will give in to ME when it's all said and done!" Hilary in a stretch-cotton grey sport bra over a traditional white sport sport; black dance shorts (snug - like on SYTYCD in the training sessions); small black gloves; tangly ponytail with ringlets framing face. Minka in yellow bikini top; bright royal blue cheerleader spanky-bottoms (snug); small yellow gloves; low ponytail with long strands bracketing face.

During R1: Minka setting strong - weight on left (lead) leg; right leg well back - right heel up off canvas, dukes up. Hilary in crossed arm, bobbing at the waist, looking to hurl hooks out of the crouch. Minka: back straight - dutifully poking out straight right hands up and down, trying to catch Hilly's bobbing noggin. Mink leaning back from hooks, but not breaking stance - trying to keep herself planted to punch. Duff swinging wide right hands to Minka's tanned body in spots...she's one punch at a time, but getting a lot of beef on her shots. Weird cat-and-mouse - girls just trying to locate each other with hard punches - Mink working in straight trajectories; Duff whaling wide. Once Minka's placing the right hand however - she's turning over swift palm-down hooks, forcing Duff to give ground. And once Hilary's moving backward - Minka's hopping forward in-stance, cleaning up head-and-jugs on retreating blonde girl.

R2: Duff slamming booming licks to Minka's torso early - wide lefts and rights shaking Kelly on contact. Blonde girl muscles brunette to ropes - it's Duff smothering Kelly - grimacing Minka trying to writhe out from under. Hilary securing position on Minka's chest - shoving and slugging methodically as round progresses: Duff rolling the brawny left shoulder to sort Minka out, then CHUP! CHUP! - she's cuffing Minka's paunch right/left. Duff bobbing on the spot, coming up under Kelly's chin to continually push her upright - blonde girl doing a great job keeping brunette gut exposed for work. Bell: Duff giving Mink a healthy shove into ropes before turning away: Kelly doesn't like it one bit!

R3: Mink in rhythm - stepping strong on left leg; shooting that straight right lead - she's finding Duff with force - knocking at pate or face. Follow-on hooks clip-across Duff's face as well, startling her: Hilary crossing her arms and stooping forward, giving up her flanks to Minka on the cheap. Midway through, Duff lunging forward takes a face-ful of Minka's check jab: brunette neatly over to offence with a title little hook to chin, then a digging hook into liver and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Duff shocked, dropped to all fours panting...smug little grin Minka as she struts on past, gazing down at hurting Hilary. Duff up and alert for her 8 count: Minka encountering ferocious, free-swinging resistance as Duff brawls forward off the ropes, denying Kelly a finishing run.

R4: Duff bobbing, but not reading Minka's weird lead-right-hand routine...brunette jotting in straight rights to pound at Hilary's face early. Sets up clip-across hooks that toggle Duff's chin...she's wobbly butt a minute in as Kelly puts punches together. Second minute - Duff firms - curvy legs holding ground as she lowers shoulders and slugs rising lefts and rights to Minka's ribs: grunting brunette forced to give ground and regroup. Down the stretch, Minka's straight punches out of a well-anchored stance reject several head-on rushes by Hilary: Duff catching face-spank on the way in, stalling in no-woman's land, then getting clouted about her jugs and flank as Minka mixes up her punches.

R5: Mink continues to spear Duff with straight punches - walking Hilary into check jabs from the left hand when Duff's trying to press: when Duff hangs back, Minka's locating her with those stubby right hand leads. Face punching has Hilary groggy...blonde reactions slowing as the touches add up. As Minka secures initiative with the straight pokes, she starts mixing in exploratory left uppercuts to Hilary's body, trying to find that liver, or swinging a weird palm-down hook into Hilary's right-side lats PAK! Duff weary, touched up when she's coming forward late, showing crossed arm: Minka walks her into a nice right uppercut off the right leg, picking Duff's head up drowsy and DROPPING BLONDE GIRL TO ALL FOURS AGAIN! Sunny smile Minka Kelly: she's hurting Hilary, reducing her badly through 5 heats.

R6: Duff crowding The Mink early - pushing her deep to ropes and slipping the small-gloved left hand in on Minka's waist band to secure her. Ref breaks that up, issues warning to Hilary: fight resumes with a crisp double straight right hand lead from Minka, tapping at Hilary's puffy face. Duff frowning, confused, inching her way forward with the back of her right hand up around her nose; the left at her breasts. Minka looking things over - probing with the lead right...sliding back a smidge to maintain distance...probing out the right again then DIGGING in the left up under Hilary's right breast. Cry of pain, Hilary Duff...blonde girl cringes forward, hugging her body, giving up her back to an exuberant series of swabbing left hands as Minka sweeps away on lumbar. DUFF NOSES IN! Hilary plowing into canvas, arms wrapped underneath her...vicious body shot ends her night...and those kidney shots at the end didn't do her any good either! KO6 Minka...she's watching in fascination as Hilary's legs thrash canvas while she's face down, sort of scootching herself forward in body-shot agony as the count passes her by.

After: Hard feelings in the aftermath - Duff angrily accusing Minka of kidney punching her out; Kelly steadfastly claiming heat-of-the-moment...girls are pushing and bickering until officials sort them out. And look at Elisha Cuthbert - just beside herself with joy at the sight of her rivals thus entangled! "Hilary wants to claim foul," frowning Minka says in postfight, "but that just isn't so. I caught her a perfect hook to the liver because her hands were out of position - that's it - that's all there was to this. I brushed her kidneys a couple times as she was going down, so what? The better woman won - by KNOCKOUT - and Hilary can't accept it. No big surprise there! I'd have to say it's me and Elisha on one plane - Hilary just beneath us. There's OBVIOUSLY a big drop off in quality and fighting power when you go from us to Duff!" Ouch!
