BEFORE: Embarrassing moment in one pre-fight event for Candi: she's getting pushy/slappy with the Foxfire women, when HAYDEN of all people takes an overhand grip on both Swanepoel wrists (as though gripping the handlebars of a motorcycle). Swanny grimacing - long, slender arms writhing, supermodel trying to twist her wrists free of stocky little blonde's grasp. Finally, Candi mutters "let...me...GO!" in frustration: devious grin, Panny; laughs and pointing from other Foxfire girls - who all know only too well how strong Hayden is if she gloms on to you!
"I've had Adriana Lima and Kate Upton in camp for three weeks," Laura reports at podium, "and I'm learning to deal with supermodel height and unorthodoxy. What I'm finding is - they generate a lot of whippy leverage on punches, but they're not strong: you can get under 'em and push 'em around pretty easy. It's like hacking your way through jungle vines with a machete at times, but the girls have told me important things about Candi's ribcage and stuff...I think I'm well prepared to handle all of Swanepoel's crap!"
Candice brushing off the notion of Swanepoel haters... Lima and Upton...Swanny's in an entirely different class (according to Swanny!) "It's interesting to see that the prettiest actress on television wouldn't even make the first team at Victoria Secret," Candice snarks at the mic. "Laura was very brave in the weigh-in - she showed a lot of pride standing next to me - but deep down she knows I've beaten her. The punches are a formality: the real fight took place the first time Laura saw me in my undies!"
Laura in midnight blue bikini from 'Into the Blue 2'; white gloves; long soft blonde hair loose. Swanny in leopard-print push up bra; low-rise black velvet trunks; black gloves; hair in golden tangles.

During R1: Laura: weight on back (right) leg; left extended, tracing little ovals in the air; right at cheek. Vandervoort taking nimble steps back when Swanny's coming forward, looking to walk taller girl into batting check-hooks. Rising up-jabs from Laura, competing with the longer girl's jab, and setting up swift, sudden right hands off the shoulder - Laura choppin' 'em tidy to chin off a quick-step forward. Swanepoel loosey-goosey - hands often at her sides when she's out of range...she'll lift that right hand to her mouth when she's loping in to hoist up-jabs off her thigh into Laura's face or chest. Swanny looking to bend in and loop right hands upside Laura's head, then come back ropey left hooks wide to breadbasket...Candice swinging punches like pails of water on the ends of her arms. Result is limber, licking back and forth - Laura moving her head well and covering up in time to block, but letting Swanepoel be busy in the first.

R2: Similar arrangement and stances. Midway through, Candice clouts Laura a looping right upside the head - sending Vandervoort pony-prancing to her right: Laura covers up, stays low as Swanny swishes away over top: Vandervoort back at the Swanepoel ribcage via wicked side to side licks, forcing model to disengage. Bell: Furious look from Candice as she's denied a finishing run; Laura defiant, but wobbly-butt from that walloping temple shot.

R3: Swanny so limber, long and confusing...she'll lift up-jabs, or show flicking jabs off the shoulder: she'll buggywhip sidearm right hands or loop overhand rights; she'll hook-flank off her lead (left) leg or pull hooks across Laura's breasts from the back (right) leg. Everything so elastic and sleek...very hard reads for Laura. Vandervoort keeping mitts at mouth or temples, bending at the waist to slip in under some of this stuff, but she's having her difficulties penetrating to the Swanepoel ribcage through 3.

R4: Continued frustration for Laura as she can slip Candice' work, but having trouble countering her leggy foe. Meanwhile, Candi's tagging Laura some beauts: a sweet bolo right uppercut to chin - Candice all eyes wide and exulting at the contact - Laura's face picked up, her lips parted, eyes shut in shock; a strapping, clapping rangy left/right atop either hip that has Laura temporarily amazed. Vandervoort able to weave inside late, scooping and underhand right up into Candi's stomach, then quick-clipping the hook across Candi's mouth at the bell...but that's another Swaneopoel heat on balance. Candi cheeky as they separate, informing Laura: "Didn't hurt!"

During the break, cameras pick up Candice asking her trainer: "If I knock her out, I can walk her, right?"

R5: Laura making an early penetration - weaving under Candi's swishing left/right, answering a straight right into Candi's midsection that has model blurting out prettily in hurt. Follow up hook spooks Candice, brushing her back: Laura able to lean in and get another straight right to spank off the Swanepoel breadbasket. All Laura to the minute mark...she's weaving her way forward, targeting the body...when Candi arches her back, fetching Laura a perfect right uppercut off the right plant-leg. Vandervoort gobsmaked - eyes shut, eyebrows arched high, lips parted as she's picked up to chin...Laura sputters forward, then clatters to hands and knees as though worshiping at Candi's feet! Swanepoel laughing - lifts hands above her head and starts a sensuous belly-dancing hip-shimmy routine to celebrate...crowd booing when ref puts an end to this, pushing model to neutral corner. Laura beats the count, but she's weepy/disappointed/hurt...she covers up face-in-gloves at the ropes, suffers a limber-limbed lathering over the final minute as Candi pastes away for points. Bell: Laura devastated, slumped at ropes, still protecting her face with both gloves...Candi bends in, kisses actress atop her head with a peck of contempt!

R6: Swanepoel loving it on Laura a little here...model leaning in, planting on left leg strong...slugging rangy to Laura's hips, getting in thick behind either elbow as Vandervoort shows discouraged-earmuff. Swanny cuffing at paunch with a limber left, then doubling into a clipping left uppercut - partially splitting Laura's mitts as Vandervoort struggles to maintain guard. Comprehensive beating...Swanny leaning in all long and sinuous, getting leverage from her legs and hips, slopping on the hurt to an increasingly shabby Laura through 6.

R7: Candice fighting with brazen confidence: dancing eyes, big smile, tangles strewn across her brow. Laura tilting forward in earmuff, keeping elbows in: she's getting no pressure up the middle - it's all Candice getting off from a well-distributed stance, putting her hips and back into sinewy clout. Swanny taking big supermodel cuts at Laura's waistline - just spanking away beneath Vandervoort's elbows: Laura ashen faced, teeth gritted - tanned legs holding her up, but she's not punching back at all. Bell: Swanny lifts her mitts and struts...Laura downcast, really getting her ass kicked through 7 heats!

R8: Swanny walks Laura into another of those bendy right uppercuts off the right plant-leg: Laura picked up to chin, power outage in her legs and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Laura on all fours - Candi's irritating laughter ringing out...Swanny jobs all lanky to neutral corner, blowing kisses to her fan as Laura struggles up for an 8. Rest of the way all one-sided, Candie-on-Laura mayhem...Swanepoel palming Laura's shoulders to shove her against ropes, then deploying big, lanky wallops upstairs and down. Laura riding it out groggy - looking sleepy as she stoops forward in crossed arm; looking spent as she takes body shots while showing earmuff. It's just one blonde taking another out back the woodshed and poor Laura's blinking away tears en route to her corner.

R9: Swanny continues to kick Laura's ass...tough to watch for Vandervoort's loyal fans. Laura just achy and numb from punishment...blundering forward in earmuff; cringing as she's smote across her waist, then faltering as Swanny strokes lefts and rights up and down her girl. Vandervoot stumbling in random patterns as her legs shimmy: Candi grinning - helping herself to Laura via swinging buggywhip righs and lashing hooks. Swanny all relaxed, being big with Laura - model pushing off with the extended chickenwinged left elbow, or palming V's shoulders to step her back. Bell: Laura SO crestfallen...she's absolutely heartbroken to have dropped 8 rounds to the insufferable Candice!

R10: Candi all grins, loose and gangly as she steps-to: she's looking to slug; Laura's looking to survive. Swanepoel relaxed, fighting at her own pace - pushing off on Laura after fetching her limber wallop to body or head. Minute mark, Swanny gets that killer right uppercut through again...poor Laura gobbling it up to chin, stepping in fence post holes...Vandervoort doesn't go down, but she's in tatters, just covering up face in gloves as Candice applies the lash. Down the stretch, Laura actually able to weave inside the arms of her foe and dig uppercuts to Swanny's ribs: too little too late as Candice clinches, hangs on for the cards. Comes back UD10 10 ROUNDS TO LOVE SHUTOUT, Candice Swanepoel!

After: Oh the humanity: Laura breaking down as Candi's hand is raised and scores are announced...never in Vandervoort's wildest dreams did she herself being so dominated tonight. "I really am the best girl out there these days," says a sleek-and-sweaty Candice postfight. "I told you guys Laura was rocked at the weigh in, and you could see it in her game - she was so flustered by me, she couldn't even think straight. I just stepped to her and made her feel my strength - I whipped this girl to her body, and she couldn't take any of it! Am I the best blonde in boxing? You know, that's not for me to say, but when you're a blonde and you shut Laura Vandervoort out 10 rounds to freaking NONE? You gotta be up there!"
