BEFORE: "Well, it's a battleship vs a destroyer, isn't it?" Jen asks rhetorically in prefight. "I've all the pop in me guns; she's got nothing - just a wee slip of a girl who can't slug with authority. I can't see this going the distance - I truly can't: she's a pretty American Doe about to get roughed up I think!" Shay under attack from CW starlets in the Twitterverse for backing down from Candi Accola to take Ellison: Mitchell responds to the "babying" allegations. "Jennifer Ellison is no easy fight," Shay affirms at podium. "She punches harder than Accola, and she's more aggressive, so I feel like I'll learn more from fighting her style. Candi and I are very similar in approach, but at this point in my career, I want exposure to a variety of looks. Jen's a very physical girl, and that's what I need right now...but don't think I've forgotten about Accola, because she needs a beating in the worst way!" Shay in bright yellow bikini; black gloves; lustrous black hair in loose curls.

During R1: Jen with knuckles together at her chest...she's wading into Shay, swinging wide rights or lefts as she's stepping forward. Mitchell fading backward, ducking as the punches pour in. Jen typically wrapping the shots around Shay's head/shoulders - bodying Mitchell to ropes: sloppy push and maul as blonde girl puts a tummy on brunette. Ref issuing breaks...Shay able to leg back to midring; pump the jab; walk Jen into tuff, scooping right hands to pit of stomach. Ellison open-mouthed, breathing hard down the stretch as Shay has her way late.

R2: Same approach from Jen - walking barrage from both hands as she steps forward. Shay all bendy-backed - dipping forward inside the arc of Jenny's shots; rolling low underneath them; always falling back under steady blonde pressure. Fighting along the ropes is sloppy: Ellison smearing Shay along the cables - whacking her right hands to body; clubbing away upside the head...Shay's willowy upperbody dipping and tilting with the shots to roll the damage, but she's on her heels throughout as Jen's will prevails.

R3: Same again: Jen getting atop Shay quickly, brawling her to ropes, smearing/mauling/bullying thereafter. Mitchell grimacing prettily - tying up in spots, but getting ragdolled in the clinch: Ellison just too strong in the lock up, keeping Shay pressed against ropes.

R4: Shay leggier this round, moving to her left while popping jabs, then taking little quick-steps back as Jen's flowing forward: brunette able to walk blonde into slick counter-right uppercuts body or jugs, then swipe that close-in hook across Jen's mouth for good measure. Jen's wide right hand wrapping around Shay's back as brunette turns with her left hook: brunette staying safe in the pocket, getting off first and touching blonde up through 4. Bell: Ellison mouthbreathing, walking back to corner all hands on hips and cranky...Shay's right hands to body are taking a toll.

R5: Jen still coming forward all jugs a-jumpin', but the velocity's not there: Shay able to pre-empt with the jab, slow Jen on the way in, then fit her for juicy right uppercut scooped to body or jug. Shay limber to her right after landing - never standing in front of Ellison for long: blonde girl constantly having to turn and re-orient herself, fighting the inertia of her jugs at every step. Touches pile up for Shay, including a gobsmacking right cross to turn Jen's chin at one point: blonde girl stepping in fence-post holes, visibly stricken for the first time as Shay lopes away all sleek.

R6: Jen trying to be aggressive early: snatching, whippy lefts and rights biting at her paunch slow blonde pursuit, finally forcing her into earmuff. Shay's legs in charge...she roams to her right while sticking left jabs into Jen's cleavage, then extends on a straight right hand to Jen's mouth, neatly splitting the guard. Ellison put wobbly butt, but still coming forward: she's hurt and disorganized - very easy for Shay to sidestep/evade. Shay circling and curling in on Jen now - licking limber strokes across her waist as she sees Jen cringing from body work...as blonde girl stoops forward behind her mitts, Shay deploys buggywhip right hand in above Jen's left hip. Thumping whacks in the body have Ellison in a bad way...she's grimacing, turning, finally easing herself down to a knee at the half way point. Jen bravely up, blinking away how-could-you tears as Shay looks on: Mitchell storms in strong after Jen's 8. Limber lather as Jen lays back on ropes, hands at temples: Shay just letting her hands go - nice wide stance; back and shoulders working in concert with willowy arms to lay down the pasting. Poor Ellison pelted up top, then hacked supple across her waist...Shay pulling out all stops, baring her teeth in a finishing frenzy. Slap chop right humbles Jen's jugs; whippy left hook clobbers jug...Shay mugging away now, getting limber right hands while planting on her left leg, limber lefts from her right leg and THE REF JUMPS IN! Jennifer bleating in weary protest, but she's all trembling and helpless from punishment...that's TKO6 Shay Mitchell.

After: Jen blubbering in denial well after the fight - refusing to hug Shay when Mitchell inquires: Shay shrugs off the snub, pulls hair over her left shoulder for in-ring interview. "Umm...you know: great fight, hard opponent...I thought her tummy was a little soft coming in, so we definitely wanted to touch her gut and get her breathing hard. That wicked away some of her power, and she DOES really hit hard: Jennifer Ellison's probably the biggest hitter I've faced so far. All our gym-work really paid off: I was in better shape than her; my boxing was sharp; my defence really frustrated her, and when I had chances to hurt her, I took them." Shay! Shay! What's up next for you? "The calls are flooding in, I have to admit! Vampi-D girls are always there for the PLL, and I know Candi's chomping at the bit. There's a Hilary Burton fight out there for me as a good tune up for Candi. But I'm also very comfortable in against big-jug Brits, you know? I've heard Charlotte Church thinks she can just punch through me, and since I totally disagree, we might have to sort that out as well!"
