Paramount/Reebok Lightweight Title Unification Bout

Before: Fuentes convinced by her last outing that she has the stuff to hurt Charlize--Theron eager to unify sees Daisy as just the first step in that process. Daisy the kind of slugger who has gotten to Theron in the past, but bettors are unconvinced--Charlize enters a comfortable favourite. Daisy in yellow push up style bikini, Charlize in white aerobics two piece.

During R1: Daisy swinging for the fences early--Theron leaning away, backpedaling as not a lot of punches connect. Charlize lets Daisy shoot her wad, then inches closer behind a stinging exploratory jab. it’s enough to carry the first.

R2: Charlize trying to set up to box, but Fuentes leaving her feet to land lopping lefts and rights starts to land, catching Theron leaning back. Final minute: Daisy heaving in wide rights to the body, catches Charlize napping with a looping right on the jaw and THETON IS HURT! Charlize hangs on at the bell as Fuentes snarls, anxious to pile on.

R4: Charlize hooking to the gut off the jab, still moving left--and Fuentes doesn’t like those body shots. Midway point, Theron has Fuentes nearly doubled over, guard low, and drops the right hand on the chin with a loud crack, putting wobble in Daisy’s trunks. Efficient Charlize as she doesn’t get overanxious, stepping around her girl and licking the jab against the face to bust Fuentes up by the bell.

R5: Fuentes proving a warrior, comes out lashing lefts and rights, slugging her way in, palming up on Charlize’s biceps and hitting out of the clinches to back the blonde up, By the last minute, it’s a free for all, with Theron standing, trying to hurt Fuentes with snapping hooks and jerking straight right hands--Fuentes responding with wider, looping blows. Round for Fuentes, but more importantly, she’s gotten inside Charlize’s head.

R6: Charlize abandons the jab to slug and it costs her as Daisy beats her to the right hand, swiveling Charlize head and nearly putting the blonde down in the opening exchange. Theron hurt, covers up and walks away--Fuentes stepping with her, bashing at the ribs and arms of the blonde to batter her to the ropes. Savage war along the perimeter as Fuentes comes in hard with her head, and low with her hands--Theron gritting her teeth, shortening up her strokes and trying to catch Fuentes with clipping uppercuts, Final minute, Theron STUNS Daisy as a right uppercut lands short and sweet--Fuentes paralyzed--Charlize giving her the shoulder, hands low, chugging the right uppercut to the chin to bash Daisy senseless by the bell. Fuentes out on her feet, bleeding from the corner of her mouth is helped to her corner as she tastes Theron’s power.

R7: daisy still looking groggy, and she pushes out a weak left hand to the chest hat says “counter me” lout and clear. Theron obliging, timing the left hand an coming over the top with a short right hand from the shoulder and DAISY GOES DOWN! Fuentes fielding the punch on her chin, head snaps, knees give and she swoons to all fours as Charlize stands above her, Daisy beating the count, but she’s hurting, Theron able to walk her to the ropes, lean in with the shoulder to set up batting combinations to the head and body to the bell, Fuentes a battered wreck as she stumbles back to her corner.

R8: Theron out to finish, moving Daisy back with jabs high on the head, but Fuentes turning onto a mayday right hand, gets her body behind a chin shot and CHARLIZE GOES DOWN! Theron on her back looks out, as she makes a couple of attempts to lift her head, and finally barely beats the count. Left eye swelling immediately, Theron sinks to the ropes with a lot of time on the clock. Daisy shaking off her own pain, wades in, elbows in, fists at her hips, and she just twists lefts and rights into the blonde, bashing away the guard, clubbing at the meat beneath, holding Charlize with the left to crack rights to the mouth. Theron’s legs trembling, wide spread as she guts it out, getting rag dolled. Final minute, Fuentes showing her frustration, mercilessly punch buggies Charlize’s breasts, leaning in to clinch, and jerking short crotch taps to leave the blonde groaning at the bell. Theron battered senseless in a vicious 8th, refuses to submit--both girls look spent in their corners.

R9: Theron getting the message, planting the lead leg and jabbing off it, pivoting around it to the left, fight get easy, Fuentes too exhausted to work past the punch, stays outside and either takes or blocks. Theron steering, turning Fuentes at will, messy final minute as daisy clinches and looks to tie Charlize up.

R10: Once again, Charlize just controls Daisy with textbook stuff, keeping her left hand on the opponent, steering her, and catching her coming in with a clipping right hand before the girls clinch for breaks. Fuentes with no answers, is helpless outside, and desperate inside as she ties up rather than punching. Goes as UD10 Charlize Theron.

After: Both girls battered unrecognizable as Theron soaks up a lot of punishment to get the belt. Daisy’s fouling got Charlize to brawl, but in the end, Theron rediscovered her composure, and the formula for success, Good hard-fought win for Charlize sees her erase one champion, as negotiations start to get the other in the ring.
