Often, fighters with retirement on their minds go on to take the beating of a lifetime as a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy: longtime Kelly fans praying that's not the case, as Mish is no one to whom one should bare a throat. Mish in tiger-print push up, crimson panties, tiger-print boxing boots with tassles (mid-calf), small black work out gloves. Kelly in sporty bikini - purple top; mauve bottoms with broad, diagonal purple slashes; white shoes (no socks); small white gloves; hard-working ponytail with bangs.

During R1: Collision midring as both girls lean in pitching - MISH GOES DOWN! Trade in bending right hands sends Williams clattering wide-eyed to all fours - Kelly jogging sporty to neutral corner. Mish up quick, but stork-stepping a bit: not just a flash knockdown - Mishy's wobbly butt. Kelly hopping-forth, dukes up - she dips, digs a business-like right hand to Mishy's breadbasket; straightens to hook Mishy's mouth - just testing the waters. Williams frowning, backing up - hands stacked chest/tummy, right on left - Kelly stepping warily forward, jabbing Mishy between the eyes to put her ropeside. Dip-n'-dig right hand PAK! to firm Mish tummy: clout-hook taking her on the mouth, jerking her face about. Kelly in and out at the ropes, never going all in, but collecting firm touches body and head. Williams scowling - a little too buzzed to break out of the pocket - she bends at the waist - moves her hands from crossed-body to earmuff and back. Packard pokes out a patient shutout - turning and jogging back to her corner all fresh at the bell.

R2: Mish recovers well, shakes off the hurt - she's brazen to midring, hands at her sides, feet wide - daring Kelly to attack. Packard obliges, jabbing and crossing at Mishy's chin - but Williams whipping the left hand up off her thigh, torso-twisting into wide clout while shifting onto right foot - whistling chin-music has Kelly concerned. Back and forth - near misses all around - but Packard eventually steps out to circle, uncomfortable with Mishy's winging, unpredictable looks. That's all the invitation Mish needs - Williams forward strong on Kelly, tackling Packard to ropes, plugging a few short-stuffing right hands to breadbasket, then squirming chest-on-chest to maul Kelly at the strands. Packard grimacing - this is what she wanted to avoid - Mish camping out in her trunks and rough-housing. Ref issuing breaks and warnings - too much noggin/elbow/heeling action from Mish for his liking. Packard digging in, not conceeding a thing: every time Mish barrels in, Kelly's trying to swipe-hook and engage until Williams' swarming attack can smother her.

R3: Waves of Mish - Kelly can't hold her canvas. Packard repeatedly taken to ropes and worked over - Mish gleefully holding and hitting; pushing Packard sideways to ropes, doubling her over, leaning a forearm on the girl's upperback while plugging away the free mitt to exposed flank. Stream of warnings reinforced by stern finger-waggles in Mishy's face - ref isn't having any of it - pushing Mish back at the breaks. Kelly disheveled, alarmed - Mish keeps hurtling in, getting to Kelly's chest, swarming and bullying her. Williams scrounging beautifully for belly and ribs while struggling with Kelly - Mish with a real knack for working in damage in amongst the squirming and thrashing. Left uppercut midway through hurts Kelly - she momentarily goes face-in-gloves, tilting forward to absorb a pair of merciless Mish right hands swung up and into body. Williams grinning as she feels the shiver of those blows reverberate through her shoulder and back: Kelly's diminished by that work. Bell: Mish still pushing into Kelly, bullying her - Packard tieing up best she can, lumping up nicely through 3.

R4: Mish confident, marching in straight lines to Kelly, walking through Packard's jab to stampede Kel to ropes - then it's blonde on blonde in furious, sweaty waves. Packard flurrying back in spots - keeping elbows in and trying to clip Mishy rising rights and lefts - but this is Williams' fight. After ref's breaks, Mish just curving back in, pouncing and re-pouncing - working her foe's chassis and chin with scouring aggression. Williams warned for chopping the side of her glove knife-edge in above Kelly's hips; Williams warned for using the heel of her hand against Kelly's back and flank when Packard's leaning forward; Williams warned for head-scrubbing in tight; elbowing; stomping on Kelly's foot. Down the stretch, ref issues a break: Mish lands a cheap right hand to Kelly's face, startling Packard, sitting her woozy in the strands. Harsh bark of laughter from Mish as ref pushes her back, absolutely apoplectic at champion's behaviour.

R5: More Mish scrounging - Kelly falling behind the pace as she's taken to ropes and ground up. Packard gritting her teeth, dipping side to side with back getting rope-burns, trying to fit Mish for rising uppercuts and hooks. Mish just putting as much leather on meat as she can - any way she can - not a lot of traditional punching here as Mish holds and hits, cramming her fists into squirming Kelly flesh wherever they will fit. Williams favouring the wrap technique - riding her left arm across Kelly's upperback, cuddling Packard close while plugging right hands deep to tummy and jug - just thrusting, hard work from Mish, beating Kelly into stupor. At the bell: hook takes Kelly in her trunks, bunching her up with a bleat. Mishy's face brightening, legs straight as she dips and jerks another hook low - putting Packard sobbing on her knees AFTER the bell. Warnings? Better believe it. And how!

R6: Mishy openly taunting Kelly now, brazenly walking in on her. Kelly's cheeks tearstained, teeth gritted - she's scoring well during her retreats to ropes, but once there - she just can't keep Mishy off. Ref's breaks buying Kelly room to step back to midring and reset - but Williams' hurtling attacks simply driving Kelly to ropes to suffer fresh maulings. Kelly doing everything she can to tie up on the apron - reaching underneath to grab at Mishy's wrists; reaching in behind Mishy's elbows; pulling Mishy's head down. Williams loving it - squirming all soggy-tousled against Kelly, using Packard up - ugly, sloppy fare totally in favour of the HISC brawler as pretty Kelly can't show her skills.

R7: Mish finally slowing - rampaging pace of the first six catching up to Williams as Kelly's able to stick and move for breathing room here. Kelly pivoting left, keeping her back off ropes - thoughtful jab penetrating crisp, knocking at Mishy's face, keeping her at bay. Williams crouching, turning, not getting off with as much willful abandon - she's taking the round off. Packard dropping slow right hands up top to get Mishy's hands up: THERE'S the hook Kelly wants, firm and digging to Michelle's sternum. Williams cranky and scowling from those body blows - she's more effective down the stretch, engaging Kelly toe-to-toe as both girls pitch aggressively to bell.

R8: Kelly's front continues to stabilize. Early Mish rushes are managed as Kelly clinches, spins, walks MICHELLE to ropes, holding her down for the break. Kelly constantly walking back to midring, forcing Michelle to cover real-estate - Packard's educated jab now on track, punishing Mish as she tries to bob and weave close. As Mishy inches into medium/close distance - Kelly's picking her up with power: short, gouging left uppercuts to chin; clipping right-uppercut face-scrapers, followed by short right crosses, slightly looped to cheek. Kelly sidestepping after scoring, renegotiating distance, forcing Michelle to slip the jab all over again. Michelle getting grumpy, nicked up - she's covering up when she's close enough to punch - giving Kelly just enough time to crank limber hooks underneath. No one punch does it, but Packard's consistent work sends Michelle back to her corner flustered, slightly wobbly butt through 8.

R9: Kelly jabbing, stepping right, feinting and BRINGING THAT RIGHT CROSS! Classic Packard slashing right - she leans in, cracks Mish a beaut on the jaw: head-swivel, Williams - deep knee bend - Mishy covers up and fights off the knockdown. Kelly leaning in on front foot, lifting a crook-armed hook up into Michelle's stomach - TUP! TUP! Kelly eases to right foot, well out of range, pivoting to her right as Williams grits teeth in frustration. Michelle winging desperation punches - leaving herself wide open for sharp-shooter Kelly: Packard just leaning onto right foot, making her reads, then leaning in on left foot to clean up right hands and hooks. Down the stretch, Kelly bolos a right outside-in uppercut, clipping Mish on the button: as Williams sponges it up hurt, Kelly drops right foot back, leans into another cracking right to chin, paralyzing Mish with hurt. Williams face-in-gloves, well out over her feet - OH the pasting as Kelly snarls, lets her hands go in batting fashion to Michelle's glossy flanks. Bell: Kelly chests up - Mish all woozy, swaying on the spot, cut in her mouth - bully getting bullied through 9.

R10: Michelle regroups - tears into Kelly - brutal toe-to-toe erupts midring. Kelly elbows in, dukes up, leaning into Mish and bumping her off, but Packard's output suppressed by William's non-stop wailing. Michelle wide to Kelly's hips and flanks, then short-n'-curling up inside - Williams beating Packard's torso with steady spank as girls rotate gently counterclockwise. Kelly suffering, but willing to absorb shots for the benefit of not retreating: Packard bravely keeping her back off ropes, letting Mish spend up money. Final minute - Mish bats a volley of lefts and rights off Kelly's arms/flanks - Packard out of her shell with a biting hook, juuust beating Mish to her own hook. WILLIAMS IS HURT! Delayed action as Mish eats the short-counter, misses her own left hand over the top - stumbles to her right suddenly loose in her hips. KELLY ON THE POUNCE! Loping stride brings with it a crashing right hand over the top, followed by snapping hook as Kelly rings her left hand off Michelle's face. Mishy baby stepping backward, face-in-gloves - Kelly slide-stepping forward, right foot well back - she's just LAVISHING Michelle's waist thick and strappy. Ropes: Michelle sitting into strands, tilting forward - Kelly arches her back, lifts a gouging left uppercut into Mishy's creamy midriff, punching the air out of Williams' firm body. Hook takes Mish in her tits - Kel holding her right fist under her chin, nice tight delivery on the hooks, all hips, back and leg from Packard. Another hook in Michelle's ribs - just behind right elbow: Mishy's knees give a bend, her chassis shuddering. Kelly fits another hook to Michelle's rightside ribs, drops the right foot back and to the right while knuckle-pushing at Michelle's head/left shoulder. Kelly with a little jerk-left uppercut grazes Michelle's guard, then Packard ROARS in with the right cross! OH THE CLOUT! Michelle's mouthpiece shoots off teeth as head slams hard-right - she topples forward all broke-down - sobbing, reaching for Kelly: Packard baring her teeth as she retreats in good order, dips left shoulder and walks Michelle's breasts into a hoisting left uppercut. Bell: Kelly manages to sneak in an extra left hook to Michelle's trembling waist, doubling Williams over as ref jumps in. Kelly Packard steals a Mish Williams tenth, takes the fight AND the belts via shocking come-from-behind UD10!

After: Kelly crying - holding gold aloft - she was staring retirement in the face after 6 rounds, but simply refused to go quietly. First round knockdown the difference maker - both vixens clawing out 5 feisty rounds a piece, but Kelly's HISC-killing right hand costs Michelle her championship. "I will reign as an independent," An exhausted, but jubilant Kelly announces in postfight. "Taking the belts from Michelle tonight has convinced me that I still have what it takes. If I can tame Michelle, I can handle anybody, and there are still things I'd like to accomplish in boxing. I'd like to humble the rest of the wolfpack - I figure I've got Eliza and Mish in my back pocket, but I want the whole set. I'm not convinced by Kristen Bell's performance tonight: if she fights and beats Alyson Hannigan, I'd consider the winner. I'd like to cash in on girls like Cruz and Knightley - European cash-cows who can't fight a lick. There's a whole new crop of flyweights coming up who need to be weighed and measured - you know? There's too much to do for me to quit now!" Williams uncomprehending, bickering with her corner, stamping her little foot - looks like ending Kelly's career will have to wait a while.
