Before: Big blonde superfight, but Cameron reluctant to acknowledge Ryan's status. "Jeri's my Cat Bell. She's the overachieving TV personality while I'm the international celebrity face that packs 'em in. It's harsh, I mean, I know Jeri can fight a little, but she's just not on the level of a Cameron Diaz or Charlize Theron. People want to call this a super fight, but it's really just Cameron Diaz taking another step towards getting what she wants. Jeri's a pair of speed bumps in the road." Ryan's work cut out for her--Diaz returning to form against hard-hitting Beyonce Knowles made the kid look silly at times. Jeri's going to need a lot of leg to go with the pop. Ryan in red bikini, Cam in gold spangy Charlie's Angels bikini.

During 1,2: Cam on her toes, keeping her distance, slapping pre-emptive punches then dancing away. Ryan all business, stalking forward, but she's not playing the game. She's jabbing with Cam, disrupting rhythm, cutting off the ring and landing a swinging right hand to the body to good effect. Diaz refusing to cooperate, gliding around the perimeter, gives way the first two rounds rather than risk any meaningful contact.

R3,4: Cam evens up the cards. Feet setting up the hands, Diaz bouncing, sliding side to side, turning Jeri's flanks. Cam with easy, slinging action from waist level, catspawing upwards with hooks, stop-and-drop right hands on Jeri to pull or push the head or shoulder while making the move--Ryan unable to get off with authority.

R5: Jeri stepping and spearing the jab, moving Cam to the ropes--Diaz s slick and clever on the apron, but these are good moment for Ryan. Jeri using the off hand to set up either hook or right cross, just touching up or dabbing at Diaz to get her to commit, then hammering away. Ryan ignoring the head, lashing her best strokes across the Diaz midsection. Cameron rope-a-doping effectively, smothering a loot of shots and taking the rest very well, but Ryan can't lose a round when she's getting off strong like this.

R6: Jeri imposing her will. Cameron backpedalling, trying to be flashy, mugging and taunting at Jeri, but Diaz wheeling away, avoiding rather than initiating. Clinches and sidesteps all Diaz seems to want to do--Ryan muscling her way forward, doing all ther scoring in just a few quick engagements as Diaz runs for her life.

R7: Jeri now firmly in command--she's the aggressor, hounding and pressuring her foe all around the ring, Diaz able to baffle all attempts to strike her with rangy arm blocks, constant gliding footwork, but it's drawing boos from fans impatient to see blondes tearing it up. Ryan doing all thr work, still ringing Diaz up in the body before the inevitable clinch--Jeri just staying patient, not allowing herself to reach, taking what's there.

R8,9: Diaz looking a little shopworn--body shots have slowed her somewhat, but she's still able to maintain distance, bouncing off the ropes, executing cute turns and preventing Ryan from cleaning up her. Jeri's the boss--end of story. Jeri's coming forward, getting tange with her jab, hurling  the right hand to the ribcage, trying the hook to the head. Diaz immaculate defense turns blockbusters into grazing swipes, but she's just not doing anything positive. Lots of boos as Cam fights to survive, just dancing out the minutes.

R10: Ryan closing the show--she's been in charge since the first minute of the 5th and she's walking Diaz down like the older sister laying down the law. Camerin so ncute off the ropes, little push and spin moves, dancing away, but it's just not getting it done on the judges' cards. Final minute, Cam bouncing to her right along the ropes, Jeri trying to corral her with a reaching left anmd DIAZ LANDS A SHATTERING RIGHT HAND! Cam stopping and chopping suddenly down, catching Ryan behind the ear and sending Jeri face first into the ropes. DIAZ UNLEASHES! Jeri wide-eyed, lightning bolt gash blossoming along the eyebrow and Cameron DRENCHES her in punches. Slashing combinations, Cam connecting with the heel of her left glove in rising hooks, the knuckles and sides of the right hand on hammering headshots--it's a massacre! Jeri all jacked up, but somehow making it to the bell--where the hell was that Cam Diaz all night? Comes back a bizarre UD10 Jeri Ryan as Ryan sits shellshocked on her stool.

After: Diaz all stomping indignation in postfight, playing up Ryan's shabby condition as indication of the truth between them, but it's just not so. Ryan racking up shutout rounds and constant thorough pressure just won all the points, virtually through sheer intimidation as Diaz seemingly wanted no part of exchanges. Cam baiting and springing the trap too late, has no one to blame but herself on one of the weirdest dukes on record.
