Elodie is delighted to be given this opportunity. She is younger and taller than the Spaniard, and will be looking to record a memorable victory, stating that Pene is ‘from a past generation’. That said, her record to date is poor, and Pene dismisses the French girl before the fight as a ‘waste of space’.

First into the ring on fightnight is Elodie, looking good in a peach bikini, and she is soon joined by Pene, also looking fine in a black one piece outfit.

Round 1

Frege is looking good in the opening exchanges, confidently jabbing Cruz to the face, but never following up, still not quite believing in herself. Seeing this, the experienced Cruz takes heart, and she gets inside the French girl’s longer lead, buffeting her around the ring to an extent, systematically wearing Elodie down by the bell, and hurting her to the body with left and right hand shots.

Round 2

Cruz looks positive from the bell in the second, hurting Frege to the body again, but Frege resists well, stunning Cruz with a right hook, making her hold on to her slender body. Pene is shocked by this resistance, her face red with anger, embarrassment and the repeated smack on French leather gloves on her Spanish cheeks. Frege just picks Cruz off nicely in the second half of the round, jabbing and moving but not hurting the older girl as much as she should, given her dominance.

That round goes to Elodie

Round 3

Looking like a stylish boxer, Frege attacks early, but she’s overextended herself now, chasing Pene and missing with some of her attempts at bigger shots, and this is allowing Cruz to get her to the body, nice little hooks at first to the flanks and ribcage, hurting the younger girl, before putting her on her knees with a belly shot. Frege is on her feet at 6, gulping in air, and wincing, nodding to the referee, but she looks chastened, then gets hurt again to the body, finds herself being pushed to the ropes where she then takes a five shot beating to the face, saved from further punishment by the bell.

Round 4

Frege looks shaky as she rises, and matters don’t improve for her as Pene Cruz closes her down, refusing to let the girl get too mobile, and Elodie’s getting softened up again by Cruz to the body, before she takes two right hooks to the face, hard punches which send her staggering to the ropes, where Cruz bops her head from side to side – Frege is lumping up, her defence looking shambolic, blood on her lips, and her left eye is closing by the time the round ends.

Another round to Pene

Round 5

Cruz bounces out of her corner, looking for the knockout, but she gets a shock when Frege catches her early with a short uppercut to the chin, and she’s having to hold on to survive as Frege lands some crisp shots. This is a great comeback from Elodie, showing real guts after taking so much punishment in the fourth, and she’s definitely scoring the points in this round as Pene begins to look a little tired, once again having to clinch and hold. Later in the round Cruz focuses on Frege’s damaged eye, landing heavy right hand punches, restricting her vision.

Round 6

It’s another brisk start and an exchange of head punches in mid-ring in the sixth, with Frege getting disorientated after taking three more shots to that eye, which is now closed, but she bravely counters, jabbing Cruz with ease until she gets hurt to the body, then floored by a right hook to the face. Frege just cant’s see Cruz’s right hand punches coming, but she gets to her feet at 7, but the referee looks at that battered face and decides he’s seen enough, and stops the fight.

Pene Cruz stopped Elodie Frege in round 6

Pene is secretly relieved when she sits on her stool, but is angry when she hears Elodie screaming at the officials, “How can you stop a fight when both girls are still boxing? I had that little Spanish tramp but, no, you don’t want me to win do you? What’s she giving you, huh? Is it money or favours?” Penelope Cruz is furious and stalks across the ring, pulling Elodie to her by the hair, and snapping, “Time we took a little walk, baby!” She then twists Elodie’s wrist round and behind her back, forcing the French girl to take the walk of shame around the ring, making her scream out loud in her own corner when she half-wrenches the girl’s shoulder from it’s socket, leaving her sobbing on her knees, and shouting, “Take a tip, Frege! Retire from celebrity boxing now, before you REALLY get hurt!” before she stalks off to her dressing room, leaving Ms Frege vowing revenge.
