Young Sacha will shortly be leaving the TV programme, whilst Kym is returning, and the older girl feels this is a good opportunity for her. She became pregnant just as BBU was being formed, and has not fought since the inaugural tournament in November 2010. Sacha has been very busy since she started boxing in the spring.
Kym is first into the ring, wearing a black one-piece outfit, joined by the taller Sacha in a pale blue bikini. Sacha looks trim, Kym rather out of condition.
Round 1
Sacha is far quicker off the mark, and she gets to Kym straight away, finding her range and smacking some nice left jabs into the brunette’s face, reddening her cheeks already. Kym looks unhappy, but she just can’t quite get inside the taller girl’s lead to land the bodyshots she feels will weaken the teenager, and she gets rocked by a sharp right hook in the dying seconds as Sacha looks to drive home her advantage.
Round 2
Again, Sacha is swiftly into action, her jab pumping into Kym’s face as she uses that height and reach advantage, a little smile spreading across her lips when she realises she has hurt the older girl. This angers Kym, who ups the tempo of her work, ignoring Sacha’s thudding jabs to land her own slamming hooks to the young blonde’s body, enjoying the panting and gasping this brings from the girl’s lips. Kym knows she’s hurt Sacha, but she gets a little careless and has to take a few shots to the face in the closing stages again, encouraging the youngster.
Round 3
If Sacha thought she was in for an easy evening, Kym soon teaches her otherwise in the opening seconds of the third, ripping some nasty shots into her body and starting to push her around the ring. Sacha is beginning to look in distress, her brow furrowed, and Kym is looking smug as she cuffs the blonde to the ribs and flanks, almost routinely working the kid over, teaching her a lesson, maybe. But Kym’s using a lot of energy, and she ends the round weakly, leaning on to Sacha after the teenager knocks her head back with a lovely straight left to the mouth.
Round 4
Kym is much slower around the ring now, her fitness in question, and this allows Sacha to land her crisp left jabs to her face again, reddening her face a little further, slowing her down some more. Midway through the round, Kym stages a rally, swaps four, five shots with Sacha, but the teenager’s punches are getting through quite readily, marking the skin around the brunette’s eyes, and she’s sent backwards into the ropes by a solid right hook to the jaw, her arms not in the right place to protect her, and a measured left from Sacha sends Kym toppling to the canvas, taking a count of 7. The older girl looks shabby at the close as Sacha clubs some of her accurate punches through her guard and into her face.
Round 5
To the cheers of the crowd, young Sacha showboats a bit at the start of the round, prancing and pouting, smacking Kym’s face at will with that long left lead, hurting her a minute into the round with a right to the mouth, and Kym’s legs are going – Sacha knows what to do, and in she pours, two good right hooks to Kym’s jaw and the brunette is down again, bravely trying to raise herself up, but she’s counted out on all fours.
Sacha Parkinson knocked Kym Marsh out in round 5
There’s no animosity between the two girls afterwards, and Sacha consoles her weeping rival, before slowly parading around the ring, arms aloft – she’s had a few defeats lately, and enjoys the feel of a victory.
