Hannah is making her first appearance in BBU UK ‘colours’ in Dublin, and she’s in with BBU America’s Stacey Ferguson, AKA Fergie of course. The powerful American is older and shorter than Hannah, and this is likely to be a fight of contrasting styles.

On fight night Hannah is looking trim in a white bikini, whilst Fergie is wearing a black bra and panties set that leaves nothing to the imagination.

Round 1

Hannah’s tight stance and jabbing style is set right from the first bell, while Fergie is quite violently aggressive, slamming big, arcing hooks in with her left and right hands, some landing on Hannah’s arms and gloves, but enough penetrating and thudding into her body to have her writing and staggering backwards. Hannah’s on the ropes by the second minute, not the place to be against an assault like this, and she gets opened up by an uppercut which glances off her chin, not landing 100%, but her arms fly around, allowing Fergie time to get a couple of free hits into her body, and down goes Spearritt, rolling from her side to her knees and up at 7. The Brit’s shaking her head to recover, but she takes another thumping left hook to the flank, and she’s lucky to see it through the round.

Round 2

Fergie again starts slamming punches into Hannah’s midsection from the start, but the taller girl manages to evade the worst of them, then keeps the Americn at arm’s length by pumping out her longer leading left, keeping it in Fergie’s face as much as she can, while the older girl looks a little agricultural with her work, most of her hooks missing this time around, while the Brit stays mobile, skipping her way around the ring. Fergie catches her late in the round, but she can’t get enough leverage on her punches and she just scowls at Hannah at the bell.

Round 3

Hannah has drawn some comfort from the way she boxed in the second, but she’s very wary of Fergie, and rightly so, jabbing and moving as energetically as she can. Fergie just shows no respect for Hannah’s punches, walking through those jabs to crash her heavy punches into the girl’s pale frame, and she hurts her with a right hand to the flank, follows up with a left to the belly, flips that uppercut again, connects more solidly this time, and it’s over for Hannah, counted out whilst trying to get back up.

Hannah may have switched stables, but that’s another crushing defeat, from a girl in a hurry – Fergie wnts a shot at the big time, and her time is running out. Let’s see if Victoria Beckham can somehow push her towards an FCBA title fight.
