Next up is an eagerly anticipated lightweight clash between two unbeaten singers, with the confident young Brit promising to destroy Katy and avenge the defeats inflicted by the American on her fellow BBU members. She has promised to beat and humiliate Ms Perry, but, to her credit, Katy has refused to rise to the bait, and is looking to let her fists do her talking in the ring.

Rochelle enters the ring first, superb in white bra and black leather panties, swiftly followed by Katy, in yellow bra and briefs. The girls simply glare at each other until the first bell.

Round 1

Rochelle circles Katy, jabbing away, looking for an opening, but the American gives nothing away, her gloves high and guarding her smiling face, goading the young Brit, trying to draw her in nice and close. Katy retreats to the ropes, making it obvious that she has feigned distress after Rochelle jabs her, lets the younger girl get just that little bit closer, then she unloads left, right to Rochelle’s face, wiping the grin off her lips, then goes for the girl’s body, making her grunt as her clubbing punches land in her midriff. Rochelle has to take a step back, but she gets pinged again, a swooping right hook to the jaw which half turns her round, then a thudding left to the belly, which has her in distress at the bell.

Round 2

Katy sweeps out of her corner to look for a swift finish to this fight, but Rochelle is literally boxing clever, standing off and using her legspeed, helping herself to the occasional jab, also smacking a few following right hands in, and she’s annoying Katy now, stinging the American into action. Katy is now the girl who makes a mistake, missing with a telegraphed hook, picking up a three punch combination to the face, she then gets in a muddle in the corner, where Rochelle knocks her head backwards.

Round 3

The pace of this fight is impressive for two big girls, with Rochelle outboxing the older Katy, her punches landing a little too regularly for comfort, with the American seemingly unable to do what she did in the first. Katy looks a little clumsy as she lunges at Rochelle, enabling the yo0ung singer to pick her off again, almost taunting her, drawing her in, then rapping punches into her reddening face, really giving Katy a little lesson at this stage, a lesson in high speed accurate punching, but is she hurting the girl?

Round 4

Rochelle is controlling this fight, upping the tempo still further, skipping around the ring, showboating with a little Ali shuffle, and still stabbing that left jab firmly into Katy’s frowning features. The American is sporting a little bruise under her right eye now, but she plods on, catching the Brit to the ribs towards the end of the round, which seems to take the edge off her pace, and the sting from her punches. Rochelle rallies, gets a few jabs smacking into Katy’s face, but is caught late with a left to the liver, and she’s wincing at the close.

Round 5

This time it’s Katy who begins to look like the boss, taking the centre of the ring, and making Rochelle work around her, tiring the younger girl’s legs out and slowing her down – she can’t be punching if she’s running – and Katy clubs the Brit to the ribs with a four punch salvo, her power now being gradually unleashed as she gains confidence. Rochelle is squinting her eyes together as she retreats, the punches ripping into her flanks from both sides, and they’re measured shots now, not wild swings as the youngster slows down, becoming more static – she’s had a bad round this time, and she’s glad to hear the bell.

Round 6

Rochelle no longer looks quite so full of herself now, and she gets hurt really early in the round when Katy bangs two hard right hooks into her midriff, following up with a sharp little left to the chin for good measure. Now the Brit’s backing away – she’s feeling the force of Perry and she doesn’t like it one bit, the American loving it as she gets the youngster almost whimpering when she clubs her to the ribs, forcing the kid to drop her gloves. Rochelle looks shaky for the first time in her brief career to date, and she gets spattered to the ropes by a raking left hook to the mouth, her knees tremble, then Katy gets her with a right to the cheek, and that’s put her down. Up at 5, but not looking too clever, Rochelle takes a beating in her own corner, her head being smacked around like a dolly, and she slumps to her stool at the bell, while Katy stands in front of her, sneering.

Round 7

Katy is soon into action in the seventh, making a savage move on Rochelle immediately, ripping into her body once again, hurting the girl for sure and making her slide along the ropes when Katy puts her there. Rochelle seems fairly helpless when Katy bumps another couple of left hooks into her mouth, rocking her head back and splitting her lips, but she still has enough fight left in her to clip the older girl with a nice left jab, and she actually gets off the ropes, stands mid-ring and hits Katy full in the face with a straight right, stopping her in her tracks, gaining some respite, even though she gets doubled up by a hard right to the belly in the closing seconds.

Round 8

That late belly shot has really taken it’s toll on Rochelle, and she is still feeling the effects as the next round starts, needing to protect both her body and her face – just impossible against a rampant Katy Perry, who wipes a left then a right hook across Rochelle’s jaws, before thudding a heavy overarm left to her nose, sending her to the canvas, a red smear staining it from the Brit’s bloodied face, nose and mouth both streaming crimson. On her feet at 8, Rochelle gazes, open-mouthed, at Katy, who closes in to finish her off, and she makes short work of the previously unbeaten British girl, smacking her hard with two lefts, then simply laying her out with a lovely right hook, Rochelle flat on her back in the centre of the ring, legs apart, arms above her head.

Katy Perry knocked Rochelle Wiseman out in round 8.

In the end, Rochelle has been another British singer found wanting when entering the ring with the brutal Katy Perry, but she showed her boxing skills and her heart, even suggesting a rematch later that evening in hospital, yet knowing she was well beaten by a superior opponent.
