Before: (May as well get used to the name Jolene Blalock - she's the new Vulcan chick on the 'Enterprise' show. Hobbies include surfing and Muay Thai - nice combination). Hottest network match up in recent memory pits sci-fi hard bodies against one another - no-brainer promotion if there ever was one. Ryan the established veteran has height, agrees to come down in weight and expects to bully her curvaceous opponent. Blalock with a scary gym reputation, still relatively unknown and untested - looks to offset Ryan's size with quickness, athleticism. Jeri in red sports bra, aerobics bottoms, white shoes and gloves, Blalock in royal blue sports bra and aerobics bottoms, white shoes and gloves.

During R1: Jeri on the offensive, walks down her foe behind a rigid high guard, hammering out hard jabs that quickly hem Blalock in her corner. Ryan working well from outside, spiking the jab, dropping the right hand and biting the hook to finish up her combinations. Blalock bobbing side to side, bouncing off either set of ropes in her corner, but unable to get much done as Ryan has her way.

R2: Blalock more aggressive, bobbing well beneath Ryan's range-finder, coming up hard to the rib cage with either hand out of the crouch. Impressive, snapping power on Jolene's crunching body shots - often freezing Ryan with sudden shattering bursts. Jolene dominating in close, jumps to the side after getting off to change up the angle - Ryan not punching back as the brunette starts to light her up. Beautiful Tyson move midway through - Blalock dipping side to side under Ryan's punches and hammering the body, jumps to her right and pounds the short left hook off Jeri's face and RYAN GOES DOWN! Jeri scooting to her backside, clearly caught by surprise, gets up quick and takes her 8 standing.

R3: Blalock in command now - bringing the fight to Jeri, timing the blonde's jab with thudding hooks to the midriff or booming overhand rights up top. Ryan stumbling on her heels, falling back in disarray - Blalock able to lunge and tag chin, catching Jeri backpedalling. Ryan having problems with the handspeed and overall kinetic energy of her foe - Jolene with shark like intensity, hounding Ryan from corner to corner, landing everything hard. Jeri gets some respect late to avoid the shutout, simply trading for all she's worth as Jolene tries to beat her down at the ropes.

R4: Blalock continues to heap the pressure on - left side of Ryan's face getting puffy - Jeri's getting clocked clean as the shorter woman jumps inside and wails away on chin. Jolene bodying Jeri into the ropes with impressive leg drive, piles up some ASTOUNDING bra-punching, bringing a pout of indignation to Jeri's usually stoic face. Once again, Jeri saves it up for the final minute, brawling her way off the ropes with lashing lefts and rights and jugs on both sides are mercilessly savaged as the girls dig in. Glorious punishment all 'round as two of television's best chests are ransacked - punching continues mindlessly after the bell prompting referee intervention.

R5: Jolene wades on in to continue her systematic destruction of Jeri, and catches a perfectly timed left hook that leaves brunette sputtering. Ryan turning it all around with one punch, has a devastated Blalock at her mercy - she palms up on broad brunette shoulders and begins bashing away solid rights and lefts to batter Jolene to the ropes. Blalock in trouble, eyes dim as she push Jeri back and wearily tries to gather her defense at the ropes - Ryan loading up like Louis on Schmelling in the rematch - sinking her punches into Jolene's tanned belly, or caving in jaw with cudgelling right hands. Blalock takes it all and answers back late, fighting off Jeri's chest to back the blonde up in the final seconds. More punching after the bell as the girls flail away, but Ryan sends Blalock to her corner hurting.

R6: Jolene's not all the way back and Jeri jumps on her to keep her down. Heavy handed Ryan at her slugging best, beats a groggy Blalock along the ropes, stepping with the brunette, palming her back, driving in the right hands to the jaw and the thick left hand to the muscular tummy. Jolene's only answer is to fall in to clinch, but the blonde is able to push her way clear and continue the steady bombardment throughout.

R7: Blistering 2 way exchanges as first Jeri, then Jolene digs into jug with full bodied hooks - each woman getting her hips and shoulder in behind short, hurtful digs to one another's bras in an effort to break the other's will. Even, disasterous trade until late as Ryan steps out, walks Blalock into hard right uppercuts and left hooks on the mouth to leave the brunette wobbly butt at the bell.

R8: More slam-bang give and take. Blalock welting Jeri to the waist with wide lefts and rights, then clouting the blonde's face to the side as she stumbles back. Ryan responding, turning her shoulder into crunching short right hands, twisting back the other way to bite the compact hook across Blalock's face, often lifting the smaller woman onto one foot. Hellacious trading seems to benefit Ryan - Jolene throwing away many of her advantages by walking in - Jeri's able to step back, tag brunette teeth as Blalock cooperates late.

R9: Jeri lands an early Louis right, just kissing it short and sharp across Blalock's teeth and the muscular brunette starts to unravel. Ryan cool, steps back, nails Jolene a crisp right uppercut, continues to retreat as Blalock stumbles forward - Ryan walking her into ruinous rights and lefts, each delivered with chilling efficiency. Jolene busted up, crashes past Jeri to the ropes - Ryan goes about the job of mopping up her foe. Pestering and prodding with the jab from outside, Jeri steps in with her right hand, lingers long enough to plow home some heartless clubbing blows, then steps out to re-initiate the process. Jolene completely dismantled in the final minute, absorbs some shattering right hands that send her head spinning but those curvy legs won't give out. Blalock beaten senseless by the bell - Ryan staring in awe as her best right hands couldn't end the fight.

R10: Blalock allowed to go on - but she's shot - weaving on the spot, eyes unfocused, hands limp at her chest. Ryan slightly arm weary from her all-out 9th palms shoulders to get her girl on the ropes, then patiently works Jolene over with ramming gut shots from either hand, propping Blalock up, then drifting in those tragic right crosses. Blalock beaten unrecognizable sits on the ropes and soaks it up but remains defiant at the bell. Comes back UD10 Jeri Ryan.

After: Ryan overcomes a strong Blalock start, gives the promising new comer a brutal introduction to big-time celebrity boxing. Ryan's rangy power too much as Blalock's impressive offensive form abandoned her after getting drilled in the fifth. "I basically knocked her out in the fifth," explains Jeri, "then I just beat on her the rest of the way. It's a great way to say goodbye to the Star Trek franchise - I walk away the queen as it should be. Jolene will be a strong bantamweight when she learns how to fight. Tonight, it was just a woman against a girl." Ouch.
