Before: Dinner theatre circuit takes to the high seas - you can buy a cruise package to a typical resort location (in this case Acupulco), included in the price is one (1) 'celebrity' fight, usually featuring obscure names and/or talentless bimbos who've already done their guest shot on Black Scorpion for the year. Huge step down for Cox - WB sending the former hot prospect to the minors to work on some things out of sight. Armitage a fixture on the cruise ship circuit - still trading on the allure of Acupulco H.E.A.T. as a kind of informal 'house' fighter. Fight takes place outdoors on deck at sweltering high noon - ship docked just outside Acupulco harbour. Nikki in baby blue bikini top, white bottoms, low ponytail - Alison in neon green bra style top, yellow bottoms.

During R1: Armitage no cutey in the ring, but she's calm, making Cox look amaturish as the Nikster is way wild early. Alison with the right hand at her cheek, left across her body, putting her lead shoulder into Nikki, nudging her off balance, rolling with Cox' looping punches and calmly placing thick right hands to the midriff or pulling a swatting hook across those luscious jugs. Plenty of jiggly offense from Cox as she bares her teeth and heaves, but she's making Armitage look like a defensive wizard with single digit connect percentage.

R2: Armitage staying compact, using her shoulder to nudge up with, slipping under Nikki punches to get close, then pumping out of the crouch to score underneath. Armitage working out of the wrap, using her left arm to cradle Nikki around the waist, then stuffing in meanspirited right hands to the belly and jugs. Cox getting swamped, but showing good strength - she wraps up high on Armitage, tumbling with the older redhead along the ropes - girls plunging and pumping with free right hands whenever they can. Sloppy hold and hit tough to score.

R3: More trudging, sultry body on body action as the big girls wrap up, twist and turn each other around the ring, occasionally cramming home the hurt downstairs. Both getting their licks in to jug by slumping the opponent forward, pulling on the right arm and pumping away with short right hands - no backswing, both girls shortening up the strokes, punching with their legs and shoulders in close. Another impossible to score round as the ref forced to pry the beef apart after the bell.

R4: Nikki getting strong - she's been the busier girl all day, but now she's shortening up the strokes, no longer missing over the top of Alison, but punishing the veteran as Armitage bobs her way in close. Cox using her left shoulder now as both girls employ bump and shoot - Nikki touching up, then curling in the right uppercut - perfect punch selection as Armitage stoops forward and takes off her face. Nikki punishing Alison toe to toe this round - right uppercuts freezing Double A, left hooks pounding paunch to put hurt on her face at the bell.

R5: Armitage forced to open up a bit more, does well by potshotting Nikki from medium distance. Girls trading clouting haymakers - Nikki wide with banging lefts and rights, breasts heaving side to side in syncopation - Armitage crouching, rolling with the incoming and fitting her straight right hand down the middle to bang back Cox' head or stuff between her breasts. Both girls landing hard, backing the other up, but Cox' work rate starting to bury Armitage as Ali can't keep up.

R6: Armitage with the bump and punch early, using her left shoulder and chopping right hand to beat Cox into grudging retreat. Nikki gets her own shoulder and right hand rhythm going and it's beefy two way slugging - Cox trying to work her right uppercut off the shoulder butt, Armitage dropping the tight overhand right. Suddenly, Cox dips in, touches up with her left elbow, then bends her back into a clipping right uppercut and Armitage comes apart - Alison drops to one knee with a glazed expression, caught perfectly on the tip of the chin. Ali A takes a woozy 8, but she's lolling on the ropes still badly shaken and on comes Nikki! Big beefy beat down - Cox wrapping up Alison's right arm and PLUNDERING the belly and breasts with her right hand, pushing leather into Armitage with heartstopping leverage as Nikki presses in with body after every slug. AND THE REF JUMPS IN - ashen faced Alison sags into the ropes out on her feet as Nikki prances away - TKO6 Nikki Cox.

After: Nikki finally gets a W, still plenty raw but most of her problems stem from lack of confidence. Cox' bubbly glee contrasts with Alison's professional resignation. Armitage taking losing in stride - when you're finishing your career on cruise ships and Mexican resort beaches, winning isn't the thrill it would otherwise be, and losing doesn't sting as badly.
