Before: Shite-eating grin Charlize as she pulls a prop broom out from under the dais and makes with the sweeping motion, intentionally broadsiding Technetium and it's fighters in prefight. Connelly calm, letting Charlize have her fun, then trumping this piece of theatrics by placing the Oscar on the dais, causing Theron to rise red-faced from her chair, restrained by Jones as tempers flare. Connelly completes her psyche job, to wit: "Write me off all you like, but I'm giving Charlize Theron HELL in this fight. I can't believe how weak Fox and Meyer were, but I swear - Theron's going to have to work every minute of this fight to beat me." Charlize in cream bikini, long ponytail, Connelly in navy sports bra, red bikini trunks, slick ponytail.

During R1: Theron smirking, hands low as she eases left, just reaching out the stick to toy with Connelly. Jenny moving her head, crouched - she jabs at blonde tummy THEN BRINGS THE RIGHT HAND TO JAW! Charlize caught staring, head-swivelled - she sways on the spot, tipping backwards, hands down and THE HOOK! THERON GOES DOWN! Connelly getting everything into Charlize' chin, and lays her out sprawling on her back! Theron flopping to her belly, tries to get up, collapses to her face - arms awkward underneath her - struggles to clamber up the ropes - she BARELY beats the count. ON COMES CONNELLY! Charlize wide eyed in shock, palming up on Jen's shoulders. HOOK! Charlize' head snaps to the left, body wilting into the ropes. RIGHT HAND! Charlize head hard to starboard, mouthpiece shot off her teeth, blonde skull lolling slowly back into position to face into the blows. Jenny shoving her way through Theron's limp arms and CONNELLY GOES JUG! Slamming straight rights and lefts, palms down, pancake away to chest as Theron's head bobbles with the violence of the slugging. Charlize finally ties up around Jenny's head, but the brunette's not done - she huddles down and pumps away to belly, drawing a boozy moan of pain from the champ. Furious slugging frees Connelly up and she's ransacking north and south on Charlize - snatching at the straining midriff, clocking that chin - churning, churning, CHURNING punches to the bell. Ref hauls a snarling Jen Connelly off defenceless blonde meat - BLOODCURDLING beat down has the champ rattled after 1!

R2: Panic in Theron's corner - she's not all the way back after one. Charlize trying to get on the bicycle, but Connelly nixes it - stabbing straight right hands between the breast, sharp, biting left hooks on top - Charlize taking clean on her bruising face and champ's on the ropes early. Connelly calm, professional as she consolidates to the body - staying low, palming and shoving Charlize' shoulders, turning into the straight right hand THUMP off the sternum, twisting into the hook to liver. Connelly's ponytail swishing and bouncing happily as she works - Theron open mouthed, ashen faced, shipping harm to the midsection. Champ's desperately pulling down on Jen's head, trying to tie up those arms. Theron scoring with some cheap uppercuts late, warned for holding and hitting as she tugs Jen's head down into the blows.

R3: Jen refusing the stool during her break, eyes fierce, slamming her gloves together - she can't wait to get back on. Bell sounds - Connelly's across the ring in a shot, winging the overhand right to the head to get Theron leaning waaay back against the ropes. Charlize dazed, hands low - she's leaning away, trying to use the ropes, but Connelly's tagging that chin with clipping side to side whallops out of a compact crouch. As Theron goes to tie up around Jen's neck, brunette wriggles low and punishes that gut - non-stop chugging work tearing it up on a wiltin champ. Connelly getting big on the big woman, shoving, propping and shouldering, reaching under Charlize' arms to chest her into the ropes, then hauling in the leather by the truckload. Bell to bell slugging has Theron tight-lipped and lock-legged - Connelly roaring out to a huge lead early.

R4: Charlize finally able to get her jab going, doubling up on it, spiking it back hand off her hip as she travels right, and she's clinching more effectively for breaks. Connelly fatigued after an up-tempo 3 rounds, takes a round off, moves her head, slips stick but doesn't get a lot on the champ as Theron weathers the storm.

R5: Theron catching a second wind, shaking off the smaller woman's punches - as Connelly's work rate drops, Charlize able to get her bearings in the ring. Jab starting to fend Connelly off, keep her outside and end of the first minute: Theron extends on a whistling right cross POP on the jaw - putting the first signs of wobble in brunette trunks. Charlize jabs her girl to ropes - Jenny setting up crossed-arm, bending at the waist, weaving punches as Theron squares away. Nice breezy punching from Theron, chopping right hands and rising, whippy lefts - she's lathering away on her girl, leaning back to change distance and make Connelly miss. Jen lumping up nicely - both girls shopworn after 5 brutal heats.

R6: Charlize using her height, reaching the jab onto Jen, stepping flat footed to the left to make brunette move her feet. Connelly trying that right hand again, but Theron's reading it well, leaning away in anticipation, stepping out and walking right to regroup. Tactical round, but Theron's legs assuming control of the bout - fighting takes place in the middle of the ring, blonde circling brunette.

R7: Jen gets back to jabbing at blonde midsection - good things result. Theron dancing away, dropping her hands to fend off the tummy-touches - Connelly finally able to time that banging right to chin off the stick as Charlize moves straight back. Charlize setting up in good order at the ropes, hunching forward, getting her left shoulder into Jen, getting supple. Theron leaning back into the ropes, bending low, making Connelly miss a lot of punches. Connelly fists tight to her cheeks, punching out of her crouch - she's wasting a lot of effort trying to tee off on Theron's elusive head.

R8: Charlize fading to the ropes by design, luring Jenny forward, then shocking her with sneaky lead right hands off the rope-bounce. Theron spinning out and using the ring, walking Connelly into heat - Jen crossing her arms, slipping the right hand only to get cuffed by the catspaw left. Jen not shutout, but she's landing only single shots to the ribcage as she tries to track the champ down and fix her in one spot.

R9: Theron loose and rangy to the ropes, pointing the left shoulder at Jen, feinting the brunette - Connelly flinching, not getting off first, then eating the right hand as Theron pitches it off the ropes. Charlize luring Jen in, scoring, then turning her - Connelly wearing down, feeling those welterweight punches. Midway through, Jen closing on Theron at the ropes - blonde with a wide, slow left, laying over on her right side to slip Jen's hook, then Charlize uncoils the screened right hand! Shattering blow - catching Connelly as she's loading up her own right - Jen's cross sails weak, brunette corkscrews to canvas and CONNELLY GOES DOWN! Eyelids fluttering, Jenny sprawled on her back - Grier screaming 'GET UP!', hands on her head. Jen's up at 10, but her eyes are vacant - ref waves this thing off and it's TKO9 Charlize Theron!

After: A badly battered Charlize Theron climbs the corner ropes and thrusts her right mitt skyward, roaring in triumph as Connelly is led staggery to her corner - what a brawl. After the tension release - Theron bares her teeth, storming over to Connelly's corner - brunette can't even take a seat before a vindictive champ tugs her roughly about for a heinous walk of shame. Theron fans loving it, Connelly fans booing, but Charlize isn't NEAR satisfied. She shoves Jen face first to the ropes - brunette trying drowsily to turn around, but blonde shoves her down and THERON GOES TO JENNY'S BACKSIDE! Wailing, right hand claps to buttock - Connelly shouting out in pain as outraged ringsiders point and scream. Pam Grier stone-faced, arms crossed as she stares at the wrath of Charlize. Measure of just how successful Connelly was in this fight to merit such abuse from a badly stung champion.
