Before: Intriguing lightweight positioning bout - tall, strong beauties - one with a monster right hand, the other an acknowledged mistress-of-the-hook. "She was badly beaten last time out," Alana observes, pointedly referencing the very personal defeat suffered by Brook at the fists of busty rival Casta. "It was a traumatic experience for Kelly and I don't know that she's all the way back. I'll check her tummy early, see how sound she is down there: any tenderness at all, and I'm pouncing. I'll get Kelly out of there right away if I can." Brook tight and slim these days, matching De La Garza's sleekness - Kelly anxious to erase the Casta result and keep pace with the lightweight pack. "I can see girls like Ali Larter, Molly Sims and Alana making moves, and I can't let them leave me behind," Kelly says. "I think the latter half of the year is going to see the current rankings flushed out and replaced top to bottom - and I want to be in there. Jeri and I look at every other lightweight out there and we don't see anyone who can really threaten us if we're focused and toned. Well I'm focused and toned for Alana, and she's getting hurt - that's all there is to it." Alana in midnight blue bikini, white gloves, (hair as per CSI Miami); Kelly in white bikini, white gloves, curly/tangly hair.

During R1: Brook surprisingly tentative - gunshy? Alana the aggressor, stepping-to Kelly with hands loose at chest - leading an elastic straight right, mopping up that limber, curling left hook up and across - left hand finishing up around Alana's right ear on follow through. De la Garza placing a shivering, straight arm hook in Kelly's flank; a carving hook across Kelly's front; a half hook/half uppercut ticketed for chin - well defensed by Brook however. Kelly unhurt, but circling warily, just getting a good look-see at her raven-tressed foe in the first.

R2: Diagnosis complete - Dr. Brook goes to work. Patient, stepping jab from Kelly - she's slightly crouched, pounding the left hand in, easing forward as Alana wants no part of it. Brook letting the right hand go off the jab - well defensed by supple De La Garza upperbody torsion - but Kelly showing maturity, finishes up a shivering straight arm hook wide to the body, paying De la Garza back in coin of her own realm. Alana's turn to shy away, to circle the ring with a concerned frown - Kelly cautiously stalking, never overcommitting or wild: nice, disciplined round from a big-jugged wanton known for losing control on occasion.

R3: Kelly stepping in that jab - heavy, shelling shot - Alana's gotta respect it. Minute mark, Brook just encroaching, crouching - suddenly dives in a right cross, catching Alana staring: DE LA G's HURT! Alana reeling away on tragic legs - hitting ropes shabby, folding forward face-in-gloves as big Brook struts in all grins. Kelly methodical - pressing her right against Alana's left shoulder, then RIPPING Alana a withering hook to waist CHUP! Another little knuckle-push to measure with both hands, then a fat right hand chopped in sidearm - elbow in tight to Kelly's body for maximum bite. Another right hand bends the De La Garza chassis as she's stooping forward - then Kelly with that light two-glove push - always making sure of her girl before committing. More body, extra body taken - Kelly touching at her foe, then beating her hellishly amidships or behind the elbows: Alana sobbing out behind her gloves as she takes the full brunt of British heft. Bell to bell Kelly on Alana - De La Garza's curvy legs holding her up, but she takes a terrible, systematic shelling from a very thorough Kelly Brook in the third.

R4: Both girls lean into right hands, come back hooks: BROOK GETS ROCKED! Kelly's wobbly butt, stork-stepping around - only erratic stumbling saves her from a pair of whistling mop-up hooks launched from a snarling De La Garza. Brook chased to ropes where grim payback is exacted: Alana squaring away, going to Kelly's body in pointed retribution for Brook's own consolidation attempt in the third. Rich, thick pasting blasts - Alana torso-twisting hard right, dragging hook after licking hook into Kelly's waist; Alana pushing her left shoulder into Kelly to stabilize her; Alana laying in slash right hands in above Kelly's left flank, or curving right uppercuts through the middle to brush Brook back. Hooks across the jugs? Better believe it - when Kelly's loosening badly late, Alana's all over that rack, clawing hooks to the bell.

R5: Kelly crying out as Alana torches the breadbasket hooks: Kelly just extending her arms to push De La Garza away after breathtaking body blows shake Kelly's legs early. Alana stalking flat footed, eyes hard - she's jotting out oily lead rights in place of the jab, looking to turn her torso into the carving hook. All Alana for 2 minutes, but down the stretch, Kelly leans into a vicious right - missing - but panicking Alana into face-in-gloves crouch. VICIOUS hook smashes against De La Garza's flank - Kelly's arm vibrating with shock, jugs sloshing hard right as the punching-arm can't follow through. Alana groaning, stumbling forward: Kelly dipping to her right, lifts a heavy right up underneath, helping herself to more Latina. Stepping back in good order, Kelly's just walking poor Alana into shellack, pasting brunette ribs and tummy something terrible. Bell: De La Garza straightens, cringing - she's crying. Kelly brightens - her dancing eyes gazing into Alana's miserable ones as girls separate.

R6: Alana shreds Kelly's guard early with a lead right/hard hook combo - Brook's legs immediately giving way, spilling buxom Brit to ropes. Kelly shabby, ragged - she stoops forward face-in-gloves, resigned to her fate as Alana steps-to. Breathtaking hooks lash at the Brook waistline and flank - De La Garza shrieking as she drags her most venomous punches into Kelly in desperate bid to force British collapse. Poor Kelly! Brook weeping piteously into her mitts - tilting forward crippled as Alana lashes away - but Brook keeping her chin off the table, trusting her fabulous body and long legs to withstand Alana. De La Garza panting with effort - glossy with sweat, baring her teeth - as she tires, weepy Kelly's able to pull Latina into hot clinches, reclining into ropes for ref's breaks. Pace slowing visibly over last minute - De La Garza strapping away her hardest, but falling into regular clinches as Kelly limps to finish line.

R7: Alana's tired - Kelly's hurt - but it's Kelly coming forward. Flat footed, shuffling steps now - both girls wearing down - Brook taking her time cutting off the ring, punching hard jabs into Alana's defences, then slanting straight right hands down into the De La Garza sternum. Alana giving way with a moist groan at Kelly's body work - Brook able to muscle De La Garza to ropes from the midpoint on. Heavy, methodical shellack - Kelly crowding in on Alana, making her take weight, then easing back to get room for walloping rib and tummy work. Alana periodically blurting out in pain from behind her gloves - reaching petulantly for Kelly to clinch her - Brook always taking care to lean her weight on Alana, forcing ref to literally peel her off. British beef and pressure prevail - Alana blinking sadly, lower lip trembling as she slumps on her stool for break.

R8: Kelly Brook managing the ring, her opponent, and the clock beautifully - just patient, professional execution here. Jabs pulverizing and discouraging Alana - she's frequently preempted while trying to get set to hook, then missing the window as Kelly sidesteps. Brook leaning in right hands, but not overdoing it - she'll take what she gets, then clinch, walking Alana back with weight. Kelly using her right hand to spook Alana - frequently victimizing De La Garza with mop-up hooks as Latina's covered. Kelly very heavy to Alana's body with strapping, straight arm lefts - Brook getting thudding leverage off her front foot as she leans in. De la Garza not shutout, but clearly being out hit and pushed around - Kelly fighting at her own pace, dictating terms through 8.

R9: Alana catching a bit of a second wind - using her footwork more, turning Kelly's flanks and keeping the fight midring. Alana able to slide the lead right through to better effect this round: important as it's shaking Kelly up, bumping her face back and startling her long enough for Alana's hook to curl through. De La Garza opening up - nice lanky, succulent action on her shots as she carves and whips at Kelly, walking Brook down. Final minute, Kelly scowling, slide-stepping away from Alana - Brook ducks down as Alana's hopping in a right hand/left hook: both punches miss over the top. Kelly comes out of her crouch with a grazing left uppercut curled under Alana's chin, grazing the left cheek - both girls try blunt right hands from very close in and DE LA GARZA GOES DOWN! Awkward, stumbling collapse - trade in right hands momentarily shuts off power to Alana's knees - she's panting, bewildered on all fours as Kelly struts away hands high and shrieking. Kelly steals an important De La Garza round, and steals it 10-8!

R10: Kelly: stiff jab, stiff jab, dipping crouch, clinch underneath. Alana VERY frustrated by this - getting beat to the punch, then clinched, spun, walked back. Kelly smiling - very secure and confident here - winning the round with her JAB of all things. Brook occasionally feinting the right hand just to get Alana defensively committed - easy to simply step in and cuddle the brunette, chewing up a little more clock as ref works hard to break the clinch. Alana struggling in Kelly's warm embrace - feeling the weight of Kelly's breasts against hers as Brook pins De La Garza down on ropes for breaks - Alana pouting, starting to mist up a little as she senses the door closing on the fight. Kelly bell to bell - lumping Alana up the jab, then vexing her beefy clinches - masterful round-management sees Brook clean to bell. Comes back UD10, Kelly Brook!

After: Kelly really answering her critics tonight: coming back strong from a tuff setback; showing an educated left hand; showing improved conditioning and springier legs; showing ability to win by crafty decision when the KO's not there. Kelly broke Alana's spirit down the stretch, breaking De La Garza down in striking fashion: usually it's BROOK forced to rally from behind, counting on her power to bail her out. Alana having a quiet cry in her corner, prettily blinking her long lashes, looking around all bewildered and exposed, her hands clasped tightly at her chest - losing to Kelly Brook wasn't in the business plan for this year. Tense moments in the aftermath as Jeri and Kelly front up on Ali Landry and Ashley Scott - plenty of complex, unresolved feelings here as Jeri's chief lieutenant deals Ashley's vixens a terrible blow tonight.
