Before: “People ask me why I’m giving Cat this opportunity,” says a glowing Brittany Daniel in prefight—“ ‘You battered Jennifer Garner’ they say, ‘You fought Bell to a standstill every time you faced her. You’ve beaten up every decent lightweight in boxing and sent the rest packing out of the division,’ and it’s all true, but it gnaws at me that the judges couldn’t give me the extra point in my wars with Cat. With Garner out of the way, there’s really one woman preventing me from being recognized as the greatest lightweight champion in history, and that’s Cat Bell.”

Bell wary in her comments, diplomatic. “Devastating Garner the way Brittany did, you’d like to give her some credit, but I don’t care how bad the blood is between fighters, there is no excuse to treat a helpless celebrity the way Daniel did Jen. It’s wrong, I have a long, hard history with Charlize Theron, but I’ve never savaged her after a bout like that and there’s no way to justify what Daniel did. So I can’t respect her. Yes, she’s fought me tough, but I think I have her sussed out at this point and you’ll see a wider victory margin for me in this fight. And frankly, a Daniel win for be terrible for boxing—I think she got lucky against Jennifer and she’s not about to repeat that feat against me. Quality wins fights in the long run: I view Brittany as a blip, someone who caught a great fighter oin a bad night and now she’s milking it.”

Cat in her heroic Maxim/Stuff white bikini, Brittany in leopard print bikini.

During R1: Bell giving Daniel liberal doses of stick, lateral movement, Nothing hurried, just keeping the left on, swinging her back foot around to the left, occasionally sliding back from Daniel lunges, dragging the front door to stay in punching position. Brittany dukes at her chest, jumping in with overhand rights bobbing side to side and trying toi leap in the hook—Bell’s handling it, patiently touching up her blonde’s face in a tactical first.

R2: Daniel jumps in, Cat’s been timing the move—short driving right hand on the mouth sits brit diwn seconds in. Brittany up feisty, taking her 8 with flashing eyes—she comes out with such free-swinging fury that Cat has to honor it in the middle minute, giving ground, using the ring. Final minute—Bell back in control with that lion-taming stick—spotting it up on Daniel’s delicate brows, thudding away to blonde’s upperchest to salt away the second.

R3: Brittany showing tremendous tenacity, resiliency—she’s taken some hard Cat Bell licks and she’s still coming forward. Daniel bending low at the waist, getting under the Bell stick, lunging up into the lungs—blonde making beefy contact with Cat’s million dollar body backing the brunette up at times. Bell easing back, dragging her front foot and running Brittany onto the jab and counter-hook—it’s a nip and tuck second minute. Down the stretch, Bell backing straight up from some whistling Daniel right hands—Brit able to jump in and get her body-twist behind a clanging hook to chops—BELL”S HURT! Cat ragdolling at the ropes, covering up the gloves at te,ples and DANIOEL GOES RIGHT AT HER! Brittany shaking the challenger up with a brisk right//left on the bare` waist, then chugging up between the mitts, shoe-horning uppercuts ti jug with snarling ferocity. Bell sagging against the ropes, just a-soaking up the pounding—beating goes in opast the bell as ref has to tackle jiggle-punching blonde away from her prey. Bell swooning, ashen faced—quick-mitted power getting to her as champion makes her case.

R4: Bell fading Brittany, dragging that front foot—gets a bashing short right hand to mouth again as Daniel jumps in too eager for her own good, Cat hardhearted as she puts the hook on top, then walks Brittany back under a strapping barrage if long armed lefts and rights, Daniel shabby at the ropes, shipping shellack—mouthpiece gets clocked off her teeth as she sways hurt, gloves at her lips, eyes glazing over. Tough to watch—Bell pinning her ears back and systematically going about the business of destroying the brazen champ. Cat extending the left to Brit’s mouth, holding it there, then blistering her waist a thick right hand, digging the hook home to ribcage, then picking Brit up an uppercut as she crumples forward, Daniel hurt many, many times, belted onto one foot or the other, then recovering—crowd oohing and ahhing as Bell scores one haymaker after another, just a-dishing it out. One sided slugging cines to an end at the bell—Cat pulling back with an amazed look—Daniel swelling up horribly, but waving Bell on in, unaware the round is over.

R5: Bell taking the round off to rest weary arms—Daniel presses the pace! Brittany obviously ramshackle—but gutsy, coming forward behind a guard at her lips, thrusting straight punches into Cat’s retreating body and trying to nail her leaping hooks as Bell slides away. Nothing too flush, but Bell forfeiting the round to the aggressor—brunette avoids the shutout kate as she gets back to jabbing Daniel’s raw, puffy face near the bell.

R6: Bell showing some respect—crowd wants Brittany on her back, but bell oplqays it smart, Catherine patient behind that penetrating stick, banging back Brittany’s groggy face, punishing those eyes, breaking her girl down, Bell keggy to the left, circling, staying well out of range—she’s got Daniel turning, looking dishelved, brutalized in the middle of the ring.

R7: Say what you want about Brittany Daniel—she’s a scrapper. Brit recovers enough to get her torso moving again, slipping punches, slapping hooks to set up that chopping overhand right. Bell catching rights on her face—astonished at the handspeed, stepping out and getting caught the hook with some consistency. Cat keeping her head back off the ropes—she’s under pressure, but poised—limiting Daniel to the odd high-risk, lunging power shot, Brittany’s round but she’s clearly frustrated: she can’t square up on Cats jugs and get into her usual frothy rhythm tonight.

R8: Cat Bell’s given up on the KO—she’s just winning minutes, socking away the championship rounds with solid boxing. Daniel being undressed from outside—she cab score when she leaps in, but more often than not she’s beaten to the punch, impaling herself on  Cat’s educated jab, catching Cat’s pre-emptive straight right, or stepping into the check-hook as Bell slides back, Bell not turning over the right, but she’s drilling it straight and wet to Brittany’s face off the jab—sickening crack-cracks as Bell works her way clockwise around a badly worn champ.

R9: More of it—Daniel refusing to quite, but getting picked apart  up the middle—Cat Bell absolutely heartless as she circles, stabbing away with jabs and one-twos to the wreckage of Brittany’s face.

R10: No miracle finish this time—Cat bell all business, staying on her blonde, taking no chances, executing like a pro bell to bell,. Brittany dismantled at this point, reacting  late to punches, shuffling forward, unable to avoid Bell’s bashing blows. Brunette finding blonde’s face at will, swiveling left, jabbing prettily as Daniel faces into punishment. Cat helping herself to straight right hands, muscling up and thrusting’em straight up the middle—satisfying spank as Brittany’s head cracks back from the blows. Comes back UD10 for the winner and new maxim champ—Catherine “Cat” Bell.

After: Daniel in a punched-=up fog in her corner—face badly, badly battered b7y Bell’s delibnerate stylings from outside. Typical classy Cat—giving Brittany a hug and commending her on her bravery in the aftermath. Daniel accepting the compliment a little teary-eyes and subdued but with surprising grace until Janet Jones breaks it up, shoving Bell and nearly catching hell in return until Syren guides Cat to neutral ground.

“The kid’s tough!” Admits Cat in post fight, Maxim belt glittering on her shoulder. “A lot of girls wouldn’t have been able to take those shots I was cracking her with. I hurt her pretty consistently in the first half, but she just wouldn’t go and my right hand was starting to ache pretty bad. I had to ease up, but I knew I could box her the rest of the way. You know, a lot of girls want to go to Brittany’s body because they think she has no heart, but I think that just gives her a chance to snap off those combos of hers. I was patient, took her apart outside, used my distance, I kind of exposed her tonight, I mean, she’s heartbroken over there. Daniel doesn’t need all the shenanigans—she can fight, she’s got heart and I think she’d be a respected champion if she blocked out all that Krusher brainwashing.”
