Before: Awkward, interesting press conferences: girls rarely looking at each other or speaking, but whenever they are required to interact, things quickly degenerate into angry shouting sessions. "She just drives me absolutely crazy," frets the normally composed Natalie P. "I hate her - I honestly can't say that about anybody else - not like this. I'm happy to get the W in most of my fights, but I'll be honest: I want Sarah crying when this over. She will be - trust me." Gellar similarly harsh when it comes to the topic of Portman. "I've been working on punches that will wreck Precious in this fight," promises a serious-faced Sarah in prefight. "I'm taking her apart, and they're not going to be able to put her back together exactly the way she was before. When I'm done on her, things are going to be different between us. Very different." Sarah in black bikini with multicoloured strings; tight blonde ponytail; small black workout gloves. Natalie in pale bandeau bikini - floral print, low rise hipster bottoms, small black workout gloves; battle bun hair.

During R1: Portman patient - weight on right foot, sticking the jab to get Sarah crouching, then clipping a tidy little right uppercut. Gellar eating, but coming forward, dipping side to side to problematize things for Nat, while pulling wide, slugging lefts and rights onto Portman's ears. Feisty stuff - Natalie much more accurate, timing better - clipping away on Sarah: Gellar much more belligerent, forcing her way forward. Start of the third minute, Sarah gambles - lunges in with a stuffing right hand to Natalie's solar plexus, punching the breath from Nat's body. Portman staggers back in visible agony, mouth open: Sarah's stepping forward, dipping side to side and RINGING NATALIE UP! CRASHING rights and lefts - tight, hard, clubbing shots - bash off Natalie's face, drawing squeals from shocked ringsiders. Portman battered to ropes, staring, helpless - SARAH'S BATTERING HER! Gellar all-in, pouring on the hurt - slender limbed beauty clobbering away on Nat's face and skull with gutwrenching brutality and NATALIE GOES DOWN! Sarah yelping, bounding away and cavorting, because it's OVER! KO1 in stunning, stunning fashion - Sarah Michelle Gellar.

After: Portman on her face, lying very still - officials gingerly roll the girl to her back, remove her mouthpiece: she's going to have a HUGE shiner; she's cut in her mouth - what a wipeout. Gellar leaping around, trying to push her way in to get a better look - absolutely despicable, the way she's glorying in a valiant's foe's bitter misfortune. ""She's RUINED!" Sarah crows in postfight - hands clasped at her chest, eyes blazing with something like avarice, only crueler. "I've waited so long to blow the doors off Natalie - SO long. Can you guys cue it up on the big screen? Can you? WEEEE! Yah - that's it! Look at her taking punches - I'm SLAUGHTERING her! Ok...THERE, there's the body blow that started it all - you can see she's pulling back hurt. LOOK AT ME GO! I'm just steppin' in on her, cleaning up big. I knew I could cripple her with that solar plexus shot - I worked SO hard on driving through the target with that punch in camp." On and on - Gellar revelling in what may well hold up as the KO of the year. Repeated slow-mo viewings of Natalie backpedalling, going out on her feet, loosening, but still standing as she takes more and more clout: nasty. Poor Natalie brought around very slowly, then whisked to the BSE locker room for a closer examination. Media vultures in close pursuit: everyone eager to show Natalie's emotional devastation when she comes around, 'cause this one's gonna hurt something terrible.
