Before: Emotional rematch with Theron revisiting the site of one of her most decisive victories—Ali burdened with the memory of a nightmarish beating. Brunette has been the veritable “Girl With a Curl” ever since, alternating between great and subpar performances while climbing the ladder—she’ll need pageant discipline as well as her formidable power to reverse things against Charlize tonight. Theron in white aerobics two piece, Ali in royal blue aerobics two piece ponytail.

During R1: Charlize bouncing, playfully slapping the jab while Ali stalks her about the ring. Midway through the round, Landry timing a lazy Theron left with a jolting right cross, has Charlize stunned and vulnerable to a clubbing 3 punch combination to the face—THERON GOES DOWN! Charlize busted up, in a haze—gets walked to the ropes and bludgeoned as Landry drifts heavy straight rights to the body, coming up top with bashing hooks Theron savaged in the first, gets the smelling salts early as she sits shaking on her stool..

R2: Good recuperation from Charlize—she’s back on her toes steering Ali with a punishing stick and dropping in the right cross to good effect. Landry following, not cutting off the ring, gets sliced up by stiff one-twos up the middle—late in the round, Charlize drops the left to her side to whip hard hooks to the belly, then leans into a crashing right hand on the face that has Ali wobbly butt at the bell.

R3: Toe to toe bombfest as Theron tests Ali’s resolve mid ring. Beauties trade harmful licks to the body and head—Charlize working straight with her punches, Ali looking to pull wide hooks across Charlize’ face or lunge in with chopping short rights to the chin or chest. Down the stretch, both girls slugging fiercely, Ali steps inside a Charlize right, bouncing a short right hand clean off Theron’s chin and sends her scooting to her backside as the crowd roars. Charlize dazed, on her keister, slow to get up and is bullied to the ropes at the bell as Ali pours on with hacking lefts and rights.

R4: Charlize looking drowsy, doesn’t come out well this round—Ali squaring up, able to palm Theron’s shoulders and slug from her hips, curling lefts and rights into Charlize’ breasts and mouth. Theron battered to the ropes, leans back, hands at her chest, eyes blank, getting tagged as Ali lays in, then slugs with brutal rhythm. Charlize taking for all 3 minutes, soaks up a dreadful beat down, legs buckling repeatedly as Landry jolts her to the body with short right hands, or popping left hooks on the jaw. Corner begs Charlize to box during the break—battered blonde reluctantly agrees.

R5: Aggressive Ali stomps after Charlize this round, but Theron keeping her distance, picks the brunette up with the well-timed jab, and clinches whenever Landry gets past it. Nice work from Charlize to recover whiole Keeping Landry turning, off balance.

R6,7.8: A cautious Charlize Theron slowly regains her poise, getting stronger as the fight progresses, controlling her foe with exquisite boxing fro a distance. Charlize utilizing legs like never before, changing directions, peppering and smacking a constant jab, pounding the right hand up the middle, finishing with hooks, but never staying in to trade, Landry not hurt, but she rarely puts two punches together, and never from a good angle as Charlize circles. Ali sent back to her corner more and more frustrated, welting up under the left eye as Theron’s accurate punching starts to take a toll.

R9: Charlize’ most complete round—she circles, dancing, slapping or stinging with a variety of jab looks—Landry with her guard at her temples, plowing forward, trying to get back on top in vain. Effortless shutout for Charlize as she gets off at will, luring Ali into right hands, escaping to either side as the brunette turns without punching. Landry exasperated at the bell, taunts Charlize to stand and fight.

R10: Theron out dancing, tireless legs looking fresh and springy—desperate Ali Landry lunges in and gets tagged a sweet counter left uppercut that has her stumbling past the blonde on rubbery legs. Charlize gives chase, swatting the brunette with running lefts and rights to the ropes, and the brawl is on, Toe to toe, Landry still dangerous and she kisses some hard right hands off the ribs and chin of other girl, rendering Theron flat footed. Clinching up under the arms, Landry muscles Charlize to the ropes and mounts a sustained barrage—Theron covering up, giving Landry her ribs and hips as she bends forward—Landry eagerly hammering away with both hands. Charlize sopping it up to the bell, looks drained, but happy as the girls nervously pace the ring awaiting the decision. Comes back narrow one point victory for Charlize Theron—Ali Landry crying bitter tears, slapping the ring ropes in disgust at the call.

After: Smattering of boos greets the duke, but Theron controlled the ring over the latter half with some of the best boxing of her career. Toe to toe, Landry definitely looked the bigger hitter, putting Charlize down twice, but able to finish as Theron took away the opportunities. Definite improvement from Ali in this rematch—Theron admitting the brunette hits harder than just able anybody else in the division, but also criticizing Ali’s “stupidity” in the ring. “She makes bad decisions,” says Charlize in post fight. “She’s still a pageant fighter most of the time and that won’t cut it against me.”
