Before: these two are so catty towards one another, the prefight conferences almost take on a pro-wrestling look. The fact remains that Milano has never beaten Electra, but her supporters point out she had never beaten Salma before either. Alyssa needs to lure Carmen into slugfest if she is two make her first defense a successful one. All of the various sanctioning bodies behind Milano’s titles have ratified their commitment, making this defense of a “unified” claim to the Junior Bantam title. Carmen wears purple two piece aerobics wear, high neck, Alyssa in red aerobics bottoms, black jogbra.

During R1-3: The girls go nose to nose during the staredown, neither backing down, but it is Carmen who rolls up the points in these opening stanzas. Electra uses her legs to totally control her opponent, bouncing in and out, circling, running, and dancing to make herself virtually unhittable. Alyssa, fighting well inside the envelope pivots and tires to close, but ends up walking into danger on many occasions. Carmen has no use for combinations or even setting up her punches, choosing instead to leap at her opponent from awkward angles, land a heavy scoring blow, then bounce away, Electra targets Alyssa’s breasts and chin exclusively, lunging out of outrageous crouches to score with huge single shits as Milano catches, and it’s all Electra through 3.

R4: Alyssa manages to trade leather this round as Carmen inexplicably stands and slugs at close range. This is brutal, vindictive action, with the subtext of many previous bouts informing every punch. Both girls put together sharp combinations from close range, banging to the head and breasts. Milano pushes Electra to the ropes under the toe to toe pressure, and hammers the brunette beauty to the bell to take her first round.

R5: Carmen goes back to using pure agility and unorthodox technique, and opens with a ludicrous lead left uppercut from her ankles to the chin of Alyssa. Milano is immediately stunned, and Carmen steps back, smashing her foe with looping rights and lefts, then pivoting to allow Alyssa to stagger past. Milano takes a seat, her face blank, as she leans against the ropes, and she can’t beat the count. KO5 for the winner and NEW Junior Bantamnweight Champion, Carmen Electra.

After: Heartbreaking dismissal for Alyssa as she drops yet another fight to Carmen, Electra just too mobile for the straight ahead Milano, basks in her first pound for pound type championship. Carmen proclaims herself the most electrifying women in sports entertainment as a result of this bout, but unlike the situation when Salma was champ, the challengers are lining up, eager to face Electra.
