Before: Minogue fighting with Peta Wilson and Claudia Black working her corner—Australian girls fight like cats amongst themselves, but often stick together when one of them steps up against quality American comp. Milano looking to get firmly back on track, Kylie with some club scene ability but reportedly not disciplined enough to give Alyssa real headaches over the long haul. Alyssa in gold tankini, frosted locks, Kylie in silver sports bra, silver mini skirt.

During R1: Minogue on her bicycle, doesn’t want any part of meaningful trade with Milano, gives away the round as Alyssa works at cutting off the ring. Alyssa the clear aggressor, just finding her range, feeling her foe out.

R2: Milano calling Kylie’s bluff, mounting more serious forays inside, daring the Aussie to try and hurt her. Milano landing some shattering ribshots out of the crouch, really plowing her fists into Kylie’s slender torso, then trying for the chin with sweeping lefts or rights. Minogue rocked on several occasions, completely routed this round—it’s all she can do to keep her back off the ropes.

R3: Steadying hand of Peta Wilson at the helm, rights the good ship Kylie and gets the singer back to basics. Minogue not running, but stepping to the left to give Alyssa angles---Kylie also pumping out a hard, straight jab from her shoulder—Milano can’t just wade in and get off without getting tapped. Nice give and take develops—Minogue ringing Milano up smartly with hooks and crosses flowing off the jab—Alyssa still aggressive to the inside, bobbing her way in and bouncing her fists hard off the torso.

R4: Footwork becoming decisive in this fight—when Alyssa cuts off the ring, she’s the boss—when Kylie can step to the side and work her jab, she has Milano waiting for her turn. Alyssa with the better feet this round—she’s able to wrench away to the gut and ribcage wide, forcing Kylie to clinch on multiple occasions.

R5: Minogue gets position this round and dominates. Jab is starting to nick Alyssa up—Milano stopping in her tracks as Kylie picks her up, then standing there to get pasted by the Aussie’s clean, licking hooks and crosses. Kylie batting Alyssa’s head with disdain and at the midway point—Milano starts to unravel. Kylie snarling with concentration, putting wicked licks together to beat upon Milano’s face—uppercuts, hooks, crosses and ALYSSA TAKES A KNEE! Milano dazed by the dizzying connects to her face beats the count but she’s looking badly scuffed. Kylie completes the pretty shutout from distance. Keeping her jab on Alyssa, punching Milano’s face with pumping, slashing lefts and rights to the bell.

R6: Alyssa busted up, but shaking off a good deal of punishment between rounds, comes out rejuvenated and determined to chop her opponent in half. Determined hooks across the midriff have Minogue weak-kneed—Aussie mouth breathing, clinching up high on the shorter American. Alyssa able to put punches together as Kylie drapes off her neck—swiping right hand across the gut, doubled up into the uppercut a favourite Milano combination in close.

R7: Alyssa continuing to outwork Kylie—Minogue looking distressed, not disguising her pain very well—Milano’s really taking it out of the girl’s midsection. Alyssa often punching from a squared up stance, clobbering Kylie with wide lefts and rights as well as the uppercut off the body shot routine—Minogue unable to counter with authority, can’t take advantage of Milano’s careless feet this round.

R8: Kylie shows some heart, digging down to irritate Milano with the stick this round. Alyssa outside, bobbing, swatting at Minogue’s jab, but unable to walk through it—Kylie doing a nice job of pecking and turning her girl for points this round.

R9: Alyssa slips the jab, counters with a biting hook up into the ribcage, then comes off the body to snap back Kylie’s head with the left uppercut. MINOGUE GOES DOWN! Kylie sinking to all fours off the perfectly delivered 2-shot—she’s blowing hard and barely beats the count in agony. From then on it’s war—Alyssa bodying her girl to the ropes and PILING on, Kylie refusing to submit—girls just lick it up in a savage two-way slugging. Minogue not as devastating a puncher, but she’s making up for it with 2 and 3 sharp strokes while Alyssa bobs underneath, looking to explode out of her crouch with single shot haymakers. Girls are separated after the bell as punching goes into overtime.

R10: Alyssa Milano closes the show, jarring Minogue early with some lead overhand rights that catch too much Aussie jaw for Kylie to recover. Minogue stepping in fence post holes, scattered around the ring as Milano lands crashing rights over the top, withering lefts across the waistband to effectively cripple her opponent. Final minute—Alyssa reaching up under Kylie’s arms and chesting her girl to the ropes—Milano in her glory, getting big on a helpless opponent, lowing home the hurt as Minogue swoons out of her feet. Kylie battered to her knees as Alyssa is pushed back—gutsy, gutsy Aussie recovery to stand at the bell—beaten, but unbowed after 10. Comes back UD10 Alyssa Milano.

After: Boos from many in the audience as a petulant Alyssa Milano takes a woozy Kylie Minogue for an uncalled for walk of shame—singer gave a better than expected effort I hurting and even dropping her favoured opponent on the evening. Milano clearly the meatier puncher, eventually battering Julie into stupor, but stubborn Aussie just wouldn’t give her satisfaction.
