Before: Danes snug and superior as she limbers up in front if Shakira during ring instructions., Biggest style contrast of the 3 bouts—Claire one of the best cutey-pie technicians—Shakira one of the best pressure fighters at sub 110. Warren lumped up but OK to work the corner behind Claire—Danes vowing to hand Shakira a beating to even this thing up one apiece. Claire in black bikini, Shak in dark brown leather bikini top, fringes, tan leather bikini bottoms.

During R1: Danes, chin tucked, left shoulder pointed at foe, springy, pesky jabs as she pivots left, ducking down low as she moves, Shak with crosses arms, bobbing her head up and down, batting at Danes’ jab, trying to cut off the ring on the blonde, Tense second minute as Shak keeps coming—Danes slipping a clubbing series of punches but nailed a hook on the chops as she pulls out—Shak sees her girl step funky and jumps her. Claire masterful as she rolls and slides under bombardment—Danes hitting the ropes, turning sideways, spinning out of danger as Shakira squanders an early opportunity to pile on, Danes back in control in the last minute, patting Shak down the jab, stinging her the odd lead right hand, constantly wheeling to her left with that tight pivoting action.

R2: Danes legs all the way back as she continues to molest Shakira midring. Shak poling straight right hands, twisting into hooks, missing the majority of her blows as Danes weaves, pivots and slips with maddening ease, Shak growing visibly tentative—she’s not been hurt, but missing so much as her double-clutching, not pulling the trigger—Danes able to impose her will with stinging, slapping punches and sliding footwork.

R3: Danes with the good first minute, just licking away at Shakira, poking right hands to the face, flicking jabs—but midway though, Colombian goes into the Mish Williams playbook. Shak bulling in, tackling her girl to the ropes, pounding right hands out of the wrap as the ref breaks it up. Shak jumping right back in, driving Claire into the ropes, mauling her in the clinch, punching her in the back and buttocks with wild rights hands as Claire covers up sideways. More referee intervention, more reckless charges from Shak—Danes gritting her teeth as she strains to shove the singer off without success, Shak getting her belly on Claire, shoving in punches while wrapping up one arm or the other around Danes’ neck—Claire repeatedly packed into corners as she struggles to free herself. Ref warning Shak for holding and hitting—Colombian haughty, unrepentant at the bell as she scffs Claire up this round.

R4: Danes trying to work the Shakira midriff, takes a little strength out of her foe—but Shakira’s setting up the agenda. Danes bobbing, swing-stepping around then licking that hook under Shak’s elbows—Colombian returning fire with a jamming straight right and withering hooks to the ribs. Shak still missing a fair degree, but now she’s throwing, keeping Danes defensive—Claire not wanting to open up and risk a fire-fight with the Latina.

R5: The brilliance of Claire Danes. Claire starts spotting that lead right hand, popping Shak on the nose, slipping under the Colombian’s hook and hooking  her right back in the breadbasket. Danes making Shakira hesitate with something sneaky to the face, then doing all her serious business downstairs, really settling down, tearing it up in Latina belly, Shakira visibly wounded, not getting off as Danes’ fists snick-snack across her midsection, Final minute—Claire partying it up, stepping right, rolling her shoulders, then lathering Shakira with licking 6 punch combos, swatting and batting her girl as Colombian stoops forward all covered up. At the bell—Danes with Ivy League grin of superiority—Shakira wobbly butt, bleeding from the nose, well touched up this round.

R6: The determination of Shakira. Little Colombian shakes it all, roars off her stool, tackles Claire into her corner to begin the sixth. Starts in Danes ribcage as Shak shoves up on her, then drives away swinging lefts and rights overwhelming Claire’s defense, Danes unable to blunt every blow, resorts to clinching, trying to walk Shakira back but getting stacked up hard. Ref finally issuing breaks—Danes able to be get out of her corner, walking to her right when a lunging Shakira hook catches her by surprise. Shak romping, hooking as she hops, batting Claire groggy to the ropes and DANES IS HURT! Shak setting up brawny again, shoving Claire up against the strands, HEAVING in leather to that battered ribcage—Danes desperately twisting and turning to absorb the punishment, Just goes on and on—Danes drowsy as she slides to her right—Shak stepping with, lugging punches in underneath, shoving up, then jamming away straight rights and lefts from her shoulders as Danes defense falls apart, Final moments, Claire stunned, taking b lows—Shakira POURINGF it on from wide stance and CLAIRE GOES DOWN! Danes suddenly going out on her feet, head being jolted and bounced around as Shak heaps on the overkill, then jumps away to let the classy blonde sprawl at her feet, KO6 Shakira!

After: Dushku not 2 feet away from Claire’s slumbering face, screaming “GET UP!” as she bangs on the apron—BSE girls leaping into each other’s arms as the try-hard stable breaks through, Shakira uncontrollable as she bounces around the ring, then strutting as she advances on her battered opponent, A woozy, badly beaten Claire Danes is dragged off her stool,. Barely able to stand for her shabby walk of shame, “It’s the fight that had us most worried,” says one BSE, “and Shakira came through through big time, It’s all grave from here,” Crowd chant of “SWEEP! SWEEP! SWEEP!” rocks the arena—Dushku’s face hard with intensity as she stares across the ring, gaze met by Britney,
