Santa Monica Pier pick up fight

BEFORE: Santa Monica Pier pick up fight. So Cali Piers all good places for celebs to get practical experience fighting under the sun without a lot of fanfare - perfect for debuting hotties. SanMon's Pier has all the infrastructure - rings set up along the promenade; rent-a-ref booths; judges paid by Santa Monica Parks and Rec at all the rings. Typical wait time: 30 mins for rings as these are open to non-celeb women as well.
Lucky freelance TRACTORPULL scribe cruising the sight recognizes Wilde: she snubs him for an interview, but Aylesworth is happy to drop a quote. "Looking at her, she's got good legs...little skimpy up top. I'll beat her bod a bit, get her breathing hard, then amp it up from there. She looks sporty, but I don't know...looks a little fragile to me. Think we'll be lookin at a bawling starlet in about 15 minutes!"
Reiko in purple tank top (tight) over black stretch shorts (snug); small black work out gloves; black curls worked into tight bun. Olivia in grey tank top (tight) over navy stretch shorts (SNUG); small black work out gloves; hair drawn into very smooth, short ponytail.
Outdoor ring, broad daylight: plenty of foot traffic all around (Santa Monica Pier sort of has a theme park/carnival feel to it - lots going on there, all around the fight).
During R1: Aylesworth quick mitted, well schooled: she steps to Olivia, jabs her guard, hooks her body, then tattoos the rib cage swift, rigid rights and lefts. Minute mark - Olivia's been taking with dukes at temples: she abruptly answers a clipping left uppercut, then the short hook...tip/tap clipping of Reiko's face stuns her. Tune-up on Reiko's jugs - Olivia flashing rapid fire dukes in rapid-fire flurry, finally stepping in with right hand to face-punch Reiko onto her heels. Reiko buzzed - retreats to ropes: Olivia steps with in good form - knuckles against her brow, chin tucked, legs springy as she scoots forward to clean up.
R2: Quick, decisive punching from Olivia - she hurts Reiko again and again with sudden, snappy hooks or jolting right hands off Aylesworth miscues. Olivia's eyes SO intense: little frown as she pinpoints Reiko, tidying up tic-tac-toe combinations. Nice variety from a swift, rapid-punching Olivia: digging double left uppercuts to Reiko's midsection; tip-tap one-twos; flurries of rights and lefts, head and body; tidy roll-counters with the right hand after slipping Reiko rights. Aylesworth wide-eyed, perpetually stumbling after getting nailed clean to chin or cheek. 10-8 Olivia without the knockdown as she pastes Reiko prettily, if not particularly heavily.
R3: Aylesworth able to shake off Olivia's punishment: Wilde very quick, well balanced and accurate, but not a devastating puncher. Reiko methodical - jabbing at Oli's guard; hooking her ribs; crouching close and working the body. Olivia accepting the terms, bumping shoulders and digging in cramped quarters. Reiko outworking Olivia, picking her up good inside uppercuts, chopping away to slender ribs through 3.
R4: Olivia shows class, wheels - getting up on her toes and using the ring. Wilde frowning in the sun as she operates - darting in, out and around, fitting Reiko for stiff jabs head and torso. Aylesworth just following Oli around, getting outflanked, turned and touched up. Shutout Wilde.
R5: Olivia continues to be the faster, more abrupt beauty - constantly pre-empting and confusing Reiko with audacious attacks. DIGGING left hands to the body - usually rigid little uppercuts as Oli leans in on front (left) foot: Aylesworth really grimacing behind her mitts as she soaks it up. Down the stretch - shredding combinations, counterclockwise rotation and nagging body work all add up: Reiko mouthbreathing, steps out, takes a veteran knee to get her wind back near the bell.
R6: Reiko competitive, but outclassed: story of this pretty, well-schooled vixen's life. Aylesworth not as quick-footed or mitted: she's keeping dukes up, staying in her crouch, looking to time Olivia for ripostes. Wilde just a punching machine with that left hand - jerking little left uppercuts; chipping jabs; clipping hooks. No one punch a fight-winner, but all collectively reducing Aylesworth through 6.
R7: Olivia continues to bore in - jabbing and jotting one-twos up top to get Reiko defensive, then dip-and-digging left hands to Aylesworth's stubborn body. It's all too much: Olivia stepping around a tiring opponent, touching her up, wearing her out. Constant, precise chipping attack has Aylesworth sputtering through two minutes. Digging duo of left uppercuts flush to sternum, put grimacing Reiko on bended knee. That's it: Aylesworth's awake, but unable to continue...TKO7 Olivia Wilde.
After: Nice little outing for Wilde, taking care of no-nonsense Aylesworth like a rising starlet should. "I was ready to fight back in my O.C. days," Olivia tells Tractorpull guy (deigning to give quotes with Reiko safely beaten) "but my advisors said I could be bigger and do better if I got another year or so of seasoning in. Now I'm on the biggest show in the world; I'm the hottest thing in Hollywood, and as you just saw; I'm kicking butt. It's good to be the Queen!" TMZFights captures the action for posterity: pundits labelling Wilde a kind of American Keira Knightley for her sprightly attacks and springy legged power-to-weight ratio. |
