Maxim/Paramount Bantamweight Title bout

Before: Plenty of gamesmanship at the weigh in and during press conferences - Denise bitterly resenting Spears' hegemony and Britney loving the brunette's discomfort. Key factor for this rematch could be size - Britney steadily dwindling over the last couple of years barely makes the bantam limit while Richards probably enters the ring a full fledged lightweight after making 118 the night before. "I beat Denise with sweetness before," winks Britney, "and I'm just a little bit sweeter than I was then." Denise in teal bikini, Britney in pink.

During R1: Spears showboating, dancing, hands down, but not punching much - Richards looks the aggressor as she marches Brit down, hands high, elbows in, brunette acting and looking like the big woman tonight. Down the stretch, Britney dipping side to side as she steps back, gets Denise reaching on misses and suddenly double-dabs the brunette's jaw with a catspaw right/left. Richards stunned, weight over her feet - Brit slinks to the right, bends into a slicing right on the eye that drops Richards to all fours. Denise blinking stupidly, smacked senseless by the blonde's blistering quick mitts - Richards beats the count with hollow eyes at the bell.

R2: Britney on the attack, hands at her stomach, using her legs to get in close, dipping to the left and cranking up into Richards' midriff with tight left uppercuts. Brit pivoting to the left - Denise huffing and hurting - Spears doubling up on the cuffing hook to the ear gets the brunette stumbling sideways. All Britney as she continues to molest Richards from outside the brunette's right shoulder, keeping the angle, turning the brunette around the ring. Flustered Denise getting touched hard but taking the blonde's power fairly well all things considered.

R3: Richards starts to reign the blonde in this round. D always coming forward, dropping that heavy stick onto Britney from the eyebrow - blonde parrying and slipping punches well, but giving ground to do it. Denise gets Britney's back on the ropes this round - brunette able to square away at times, put batting punches to work up and down Britney's flanks. Hard working round goes to Denise - Britney can't roughouse with this challenger.

R4: Britney back to the hit and run, often catching Denise clean with lead right hands or jump-in hooks to the chin. Richards walking through it, continuing to apply pressure with her legs - she's getting outclassed, but she has Britney on the run, backing into corners - tactically good news for Richards even as she drops another round.

R5: Britney having a good time - comfortable with her speed and reflex advantages - she can swat Denise's ear with a slapping left from the thigh before Richards can react, then lean away as the brunette chugs out a predictable one-two. Cat and mouse favours Britney much of the round - she's judging it razor fine as Richards misses by inches after getting clouted hard to the face or breasts. Down the stretch, D finally gets the timing down, hooking with Britney and SPEARS GOES DOWN! Britney shocked on her butt, shaking her head - she gets gingerly to her feet for 8. Richards bulling straight in behind a pounding jab - Spears wobbling straight back with her hands down and a CRASHING right hand swivels Spears' head, putting her face first to the ropes and down on her knees. Britney climbs the strands with a drowsy look of anguish - she's badly hurt with half a minute left in the fight. Richards wades in for a furious bombardment - thick to the waist with either hand, shoving Britney back with crossed arms and going back to the body, coming up to the head with non stop slugging. AND THE REF STEPS IN! Britney bludgeoned senseless - taking on horrific abuse - she lolls on the turnbuckles as Richards leaps away in triumph. TKO5 Denise Richards.
