Before: Magazine cover reads “Move over Bobbi - there’s a new babe in boxing!” complete with side by side photo. Even when Phillips’ career began to go south, she could always count on the fact that she was one of the, if not the, sexiest celebs in the game, and a headliner as a result. Landry threatens Phillips on every level, and reports out of Bobbi’s camp suggest that she wants Ali more than she’s ever wanted anybody. Landry oblivious to the heat, just fighting every 3 weeks and doing what her handlers tell her. It’s a personal for one of them tonight.

R1: Bobbi falls in with the bigger woman after punching, and the fight takes on an erratic rhythm as the girls get off, clinch, and push aside. Ali proves stronger and midway through the round hurts Bobbi with swatting lefts and rights just beneath the breasts with good inside form. Phillips soaking it up, looks shaky at the bell as Landry puts body shots in the bank.

R2: Bobbi looks to box, but Ali’s height, good fundamentals soon undress her. Landry able to get Phillips eye with cruel stick, and follow up with the short right cross on the mouth, has Bobbi backing up. Phillips with some rising lefts and rights, tags Ali coming in midway through, but down the stretch, Landry puts her body on Bobbi, walks her off balance, and continues to find the sternum with little chopping shots inside, all shoulder.

R3: Bobbi fighting desperate, wings punches from her hips, and temporarily has Ali looking confused. Palming up on Landry’s shoulders, Bobbi shoves the big woman to the ropes, and wails away with wide swinging lefts and rights as Landry pulls her arms in tight. Landry taking welting blows to her flanks and hips, turns her body into punches to minimize impact, but it’s a good swarming round for Bobbi. Phillips indulges in a little jug mugging at the bell, stuffing the uppercut into Ali’s bikini top as the ref jumps in.

R4: Ali comes out with a mean glint in her eye this round, and gets Phillips’ breasts with driving straight right hands, pounding Bobbi into a pained retreat. On the ropes, Landry jabs Bobbi into a defensive shell, then WHIPS the right hand wide into the belly, buckling Bobbi’s legs with a gurgle. Phillips, in desperate trouble, and Ali puts on the beat down. Landry palming up on Bobbi’s shoulders, props the brunette beauty, then drifts her with cruel right hands cross the mouth - Phillips’ eyes begin to swim as her body goes limp. Ali keeping the pressure on, sees Bobbi’s stomach go soft, and digs a hard left hook in - Phillips’ mouthpiece spits out as she goes wobbly butt. Ali shoving Bobbi back to the right hands on the mouth - Phillips’ head spanking back, then lolling dreamily into position as Landry pours it on. Ali pushing helpless Bobbi into the ropes, looks at the ref, inviting him to stop it, but he gestures for her to continue. Landry with left hand on Bobbi’s shoulder, turns into a series of driving, very short right hands on the mouth, destroying what’s left of Phillips, and leaving her helpless on the ropes. Bobbi burbling “stop” as tears flow - her eyes closed, mouth open, and the ref finally ends the carnage. Phillips groggily protests, confusing everyone in the aftermath.

After: A devastated Bobbi Phillips claims she had said “Don’t stop the fight,” but it’s a hollow protest at best considering the condition of her battered face. Landry confused by Bobbi’s animosity, but says all the right things in post-fight, giving Bobbi praise, and calling it a “tough” fight. Rumour has it off camera, Landry’s not so complimentary.
