Before: Connelly ducking allegations of okaying this heinous mismatch with the old "I fight who they tell me to fight" spiel - but cynics aren't buying it, constantly bringing up the Samaire Armstrong fight in prefight as the reason for the novice comp. "I'm so sick of hearing that girl's name," says an exasperated Connelly. "Did any of you guys watch that fight? Did you see me knock that kid out cold? Those slaps and nibbles of hers barely kept me awake, much less hurt me - jeez!" Johansson smiling, slightly embarrassed as she takes the scales for the first time in her life - looks like she's going to go through with it. R2: Scarlet pawing the jab - Connelly fading it to get the timing down, then dropping a chopping counter right over top, shaving Scarlet's chin and making her baby step hurt on the spot. Connelly mopping up, hooking the sternum with booming heft, coming off the body with a tight left uppercut, right hand never leaving her cheek and Scarlet sits down again - this time rolling to her back with a pain-wracked expression. Johansson up, takes a woozy 8 - Jennifer moves in with pulsing jabs to stack Scarlet up at the ropes. Right/lefts in the waist - banging blows crippling Scarlet, twisting her face in agony, then tidy uppercuts through the middle, THEN clean up hooks on the ear - poor Johansson belted forward and back, from one foot to the other before a TAUT wide left, straight right hand on the mouth caves her in at the ropes. That's good enough for the ref - humanitarian aid delivered as man waves it off, kneels to hold Scarlet, preventing her from rising - Johansson stunned, bleeding from the nose, has no idea she's just been halted - she asks the ref "Did I win?" in confusion. After: Connelly covering herself in glory, unleashing a sustained, precision assault on the woefully inexperienced Johansson to post a sickening 'welcome to the FCBA' stoppage. Give Jen credit - she attends Scarlett's corner, making sure Johansson's ok and offering a hug of encouragement - no hard feelings here, just business as Johansson catches a tough beat down in her pro debut.
