Hewitt got an opportunity to be the big woman in this fight, let her hands go aggressive - old JLH might not have had the confidence to fight that way, but the current version has no problem with it. Zhang came in a dangerous and skilled Pac Rim fighter, but flying in only 72 hours before the fight had the tiny Asian suffering from jet lag - unable to acclimate, she succumbed to relentless aggression 4 rounds in.

Once again, Hewitt used her well schooled boxing to set up wide, slinging power shots that has Ziyi backing up throughout the fight. Zhang worked Hewitt’s face with a cruel jab and used the ring effectively, but the American used her size advantage well, often bodying up and mauling Double Z to get her ropeside. Hewitt’s galloping bursts to the body had Zhang in a bad way in the third, dropping the Asian for 8, and from that point on, Jennifer could not be discouraged. Referee calls a halt to this on half way through the fourth as a sagging and dazed Ziyi is beaten ragged at the ropes by lathering Hewitt flurries.
