Before: "Sucks to be Adrianne," Cook says in prefight, not unsympathetic to Pallicki's plight. "Every young actress in Hollywood wants a piece of her - because when you're down, this town piles on. I'm no different - I see Adrianne struggling and I want to jump right on top of her and get her out of there. I'll try to hurt her early - get her doubting herself. Once she's fighting my body and her own mind...she's done."

Dark circles under Pallicki's eyes these days - former 'chin-checker' has a target on her back and everyone knows it. "I see the looks," Adrianne admits at podium. "Girls are being very bold with me, making challenging eye contact - I can't even go to a club without some no-name slut calling me out, and all her friends standing around, ready to record the action on their cell phones. It's tough, but you know what? I'm gonna pull through this, and it starts with AJ. I'm turning her back, no excuses: girls in this town have to see that I can stand my ground and get my way in that ring again. Maybe I can start a little slide for AJ, see how SHE likes it."

During R1: AJ weaving early - Pallick backhanding out jabs, leaning in smooth, elastic right hands, coming back hooks...Adrianne very supple, licking and stroking. Right hand connects flush to Cook's left eye; curling hook caresses her chin...AJ stumbles around in confusion, blinking, then DROPPING TO HER KNEES! Pallicki excited, but fighting to control herself - only dancing eyes betray her relief at early success. Rest of the round good for Pallicki: Cook brave, but hurt - trying to weave her way in close, but having no luck against Pallicki's long armed jabs/slinging right hands. Shutout with feeling, Adrianne Pallicki - she's all grins back to her corner.

R2: Pallicki fighting tall, featuring the jab, making AJ work hard for real estate. Cook bobbing, weaving - alternating hands from crossed-arm to earmuff on approach...she just can't penetrate. Adrianne using her long legs as well - spacing her feet wide - leaning in to touch AJ, then leaning away to create space. Takes Cook two minutes to negotiate distance, fetching Pallicki some drumming whacks to ribcage in exchange for feisty close-in right uppercuts from rangy Adrianne.

R3: Similar stuff: Adrianne committed to distance - pumping the jab, sliding back in her stance to make Cook come forward. AJ obliged to make the fight - she's the shorter beauty, needs to be right on top of Pallicki's chest to make a difference. Once again, takes 2 minutes of weaving pursuit to break down Pallicki's jab and make her fight. Pleasing exchanges down the stretch as AJ pounds roundhouse right/lefts to ribcage while Adrianne bumps left shoulder to set up curling right uppercuts in tight.

R4: Good stubby jab from AJ early - brisk to Adrianne's chest: Cook able to work Pallicki to ropes and get set up for the first time. AJ pushing in - short, compact blonde a real weight on the inside - brawny arms pushing Pallicki's out of the way; brawny shoulders bumping. AJ rough with her head - keeping it under Pallicki's chin...mauling, brawling output sees Pallicki catch clout head and body. Adrianne lowering her left shoulder into AJ - pushing her off - then Pallicki's seeking limber right uppercuts/lashing left hooks in supple sequences. Spots for Pallicki - she IS catching AJ - but Cook won't relinquish prime position. AJ stands in, works hard for points in the fourth.

R5: Pallicki features the jab, the wide stance, the in-out body leaning...but she's also incorporating a little lateral movement to the menu. Perfect Cook-beating recipe - taller girl managing shorter midring, steering her, sidestepping her. Cook's pretty face lumping up nicely from attentive Pallicki stick - Adrianne really pumping a fine stick tonight. Pallicki leaning in to crease a few choice right hands to chin - Cook proving sturdy as she gobbles 'em up, but she's unable to answer as Adrianne slides away. Pallicki highlight: Adrianne licking a limber, rising hook to Cook's jaw while executing graceful pivot-left..Adrianne scores, AND sweeps round Cook's right flank with the same elegant motion. Shutout Pallicki: fresh grins from the kid en route to corner.

R6: Adrianne feeling her oats, loosening up in there. Supple the way she'll lean into AJ with a shoulder - give her a nudge - then pop hips-right to lick home a bandy-armed hook, or twist torso-left to slide in that rangy right hand. Cook confounded - frequently on her heels in a bewildered crossed-arm stance - or crouching far forward with dukes at temples. Two minutes in - with the round already won by Pallicki - AJ manages to penetrate and work, smiting furiously at Adrianne's sleek, golden-brown torso. Adrianne slugging back - growing more and more confident that she can take AJ's punch in these engagements.

R7: Two minutes for Pallicki - one for AJ: that's been the story of the whole night. Adrianne relaxed, leggy on the outside - just easing herself to the left, pushing AJ, or jabbing her, keeping her at arm's length. Every once in a while, Pallicki will sling that rising hook/pivot-left routine - scoring on AJ, turning her. Cook frowning, bobbing her way in under withering fire: AJ proving up her sturdiness in a big way as she pays dearly for the priviledge of bashing Pallicki's ribs in spots.

R8: Problem for Pallicki: when AJ gets her ropebound, Adrianne can't get out of there. Cook stubby-jabs Adrianne to ropes, rips her a beauty right hand tight to waist; hooks her up top: Adrianne grimacing, forms earmuff, leans in and down to crowd her tormentress. Good stuff from Cook when she wins this position - getting up underneath Adrianne, bodying her tuff into ropes, jostling her, mauling her, then getting off robusto. Adrianne buffetted about her ears/guard; hammered hard to ribs/waist. Pallicki's answering, but it's all about position: once AJ gets herself set, she's awful hard to discourage.

R9: Grooving right hand, curling left hooks: Adrianne leaning in/twisting gracefully with her shots...she's kissing and clouting AJ something terrible. Clapping, rangy chin-checks - both hands - strafe AJ, put her wobbly butt. She stumbles in fence post holes for a moment, then clatters to all fours, punched momentarily groggy. Adrianne grins wide, SO happy to have answered Cook's pressure: there's a bounce in Pallicki's step, a light in her eyes we haven't seen in weeks!

R10: AJ proves a warrior - grimly marching out, punching her way into Adrianne, methodically working her to ropes. Pallicki scowling - she'd wanted to box out the round: Cook won't have it. Adrianne: hands cupping at AJ's head, trying to control the lil' rampager at the apron. Cook: hands busily at Adrianne's waist or flanks - heavy strokes bouncing off Pallicki with meaty thumps. Vicious, brawny uppercuts spook Pallicki on occasion - partially foiled by her head-control of AJ - but they're dangerous moments as stocky blonde straightens up into murderous blows. Ref shouting warnings to Adrianne to "Stay off her neck!" - occasionally slapping Adrianne's hands away from AJ to free things up. Pallicki takes a licking bell to bell, but weathers it - she's the UD10 winner and both girls know it.

After: Gorilla off Adrianne's back - relief pouring off her in waves as she hugs everyone in striking distance after decision is announced. "Yeah, it feels great to get the win," Adrianne admits. "I featured the left hand tonight - caught her some hooks she wasn't expecting. I don't want to be a one-dimensional right handed power hitter like Kelly Brook; I want to be a multi faceted threat - always giving girls new things to worry about. I wanted to knock AJ out - I had my stroke going tonight, and I was catching her, but this girl's just too stubborn! That's something my trainer's been hammering into me - not to rely on the KO so much - so I didn't let myself get discouraged by her durability. I managed her, I controlled this tough opponent, and that's a great win for me. (trainer says something off camera - Adrianne laughs) Oh, and yeah, could'a worked the body more. SORRY! Jeez!"
