"I don't know," Mandy speculates, feigning innocence, "it ALMOST looks like Amanda's stable is sort of disappointed at Nadia's failure to dominate me, so they're going out and finding a more traditional welterweight with Righetti. I don't know for sure if that is the case, but if Bjorlin were really enough, why make this move? I love that Amanda's moving up because I think she's a great fighter, but I also think there's been a lot of ink about her that hasn't been substantiated yet. I'm really curious to see what she brings - and if it's really all that much better than Bjorlin!"

Righetti pursing her lips - wise to Moore's act. "Quit trying to stir the pot, Mandy," Righetti grins. "You know as well as I do that it takes two girls to rule a division properly. I'm not replacing Nadia - I'm forming an unbeatable tandem with her - and I'm anxious to show you just how it all fits together."

During R1: Mandy taking Righetti to ropes, wrestling with her: Amanda proving able to cope - wriggling her arms down inside Moore's twisting Mandy into the ropes, forcing Moore to reciprocate. Righetti eventually proves the stronger as girls reverse positions a few times: Moore finally elects to clinch for ref's break. Mandy walking to midring, jabbing with Amanda: Righetti eyes narrowed, pounding heavy left hands against Moore's fleshy upper chest; trying to penetrate Mandy's guard. Moore parrying poke, jabbing back - generally having good scoring success counter-jabbing off the block. Steady step-and-poke - girls just sorting each other out heavy, stiff stick: Moore a little more accurate - especially to the face.

R2: Moore stooping to jab Righetti's firm tummy: Amanda quick-hooking Moore's right eye in reprisal. Righetti to Moore's ribs with a swinging right: big, thumping shot gets Mandy's attention - as does the short follow-up hook to chops. Moore trades dangerous right hands as girls lean in: comeback hooks go Righetti's way as once again Mandy's chin-clouted. Moore to ropes, blinking: Righetti aggressively steps in a long, booming right hand - palm down against stomach: Moore grunting, doubling forward as red head assumes command. Brawny palm-shove of Moore's shoulders sets her upright: Righetti clobbers away all big-girl efficiency - flat-knuckle impacts steering into Mandy's biceps/breasts/flanks. Moore shaken, distressed: she tries to brush Righetti back via the right uppercut...eats a vicious chopping right to jaw that drives her back into ropes. Righetti setting a rhythmic pace - punishing Moore downstairs, then climbing up-torso via creeping barrage of lefts and rights: Moore aghast - keeping her hands in, covering up more and more. Beatdown goes from merely thorough to truly brutal in stages: Righetti really pounding at Mandy's torso/arms, then rocking her to head whenever Moore's defences weaken. MANDY'S SHABBY! Down the stretch, Moore's visibly wilting, eyes glassy, lips parted - RIGHETTI'S FEELING IT! Amanda humming - pushing Moore ragdoll up against ropes to reset her, then batting withering blows off either flank, or smashing chest/skull. Horrid, spanking hook flattens Mandy's breasts - sound of that shot like a baseball bat whacking wet clay. Moore's knees loosen as she soaks that terrible jug clout; vicious comeback right hand crashes to chin - draping Moore in stupor against ropes. She's a helpless beauty - hands drooping, head lolling as RIGHETTI POURS IT ON! Amanda's braid swishing back and forth across her spine - sturdy torso twisting on squared-off hips as she straps the leather to Mandy and MOORE GOES DOWN! Heartbreaking wilt to the mat as Mandy's bludgeoned out on her feet - pooling on her stomach in a KO'd haze. Righetti's nostrils flaring, chest heaving as she steps back - that's a monstrous KO2 Amanda Righetti.

After: Righetti storming back from her own KO loss, exacts a brutal price from Mandy Moore with one of the classic ropeside beatdowns we've seen all year. Hugging, jumping celebration in the Righetti corner as she's joined by Bjorlin: rival welterweights in audience looking on in some alarm as these girls revel in Amanda's accomplishment without a lot of concern for Mandy's feelings in postfight.
