During R1,2.3: Missy attempting to lope the ring, use her legs and box: Grace won't have it. Park scuttling into position quickly, cutting off the ring, bringing heat to Missy's ribcage: ringing rights and lefts constantly tattoo Peregrym's flanks. Grace steering the odd vicious right hand palm-down in above Missy's left hip: Peregrym seen to grimace, reaching to clinch when she's well struck. Missy's legs buckle in the first round, but look firm thereafter - she starts to manage pressure by pushing her knuckles into Grace's chest, leaning weight into the Asian while side-stepping right - forcing Park to reset. Good scrounging, hounding minutes for Park - she's up 3-0, outworking and being very aggressive with Missy.

R4: Peregrym starting to set down more - she's sliding her feet rather than loping around - easing back to create distance and walk aggressive Grace into harm. Peregrym's chin tucked, dukes up - jab elastic and heavy off the shoulder: she'll trigger it, then slide back and to the right, turning Grace midring. Peregrym's right hand quiet at her shoulder, held in reserve: she's unleashing it selectively, turning into crosses with rangy leverage, really gonging away on Grace's chin. Park walking through Missy's best, but unable to get off: combination of calm Peregrym footwork; accurate, straight punches up top has Park walking into punishment through 4.

R5: Missy supple, sliding her feet, dragging her left (lead) foot while maintaining a good strong plant. Jabs have Grace bobbing and weaving - Park scowling, unable to penetrate and wail away to Peregrym's ribs. Peregrym smooth to either side, jabbing Grace's face, hooking her breasts, or dropping right hands clean to chin. Park taking a terrific shot - really getting her head toggled aside, but she's shaking it off: net effect of Missy's pinpoint punching is to suppress Grace's output. Shutout Missy P: Grace lumping up nicely through 5.

R6: Missy continues to land stellar - keying off her jab, managing her distance midring. Occasionally, Missy will dip, lean in, dragging the right hand heavy to Asian breadbasket, then clout Grace's chin via the lean-away left hook. In-and-out goes MIssy - sometimes aided by a little push in Grace's chest as Peregrym's sidestepping right. Missy hooking and jabbing of her pushes - she's slick here, but persistent and hard-working as well - really keeping up a steady punching patter. Grace finally able to walk-through and answer - lashing rangy right and left roundhouses to Missy's arms and flanks to temporarily suppress Peregrym's output. Another Missy round - not a shutout.

R7: Grace becoming more of a threat - face snarling as she wades in behind her gloves, gets picked at, then hurls back hard to the Peregrym ribcage. Several mouth-on-shoulder, lanky exchanges: Grace with hands low, lifting limber, slinging leather into Peregrym's lungs; Missy with right at her cheek, left across her body, using that extended left elbow to steer Grace, drawing warnings for pushing-off with it against Grace's throat. Missy slashing back counters - weight on her right (back) leg as she pushes on Grace to resist her, then slicing hooks and short right hands head and body. Grace still getting out-hit, but being very willful - she's starting to re-establish to Missy's slender waist and supple ribcage.

R8: Total turn around - Grace pounding away heavy overhand rights to get Missy ropeside, then fighting off Peregrym's chest bell to bell. Missy under siege, face tight with concentration - she's pushing on Grace with that extended left elbow, weight on the right foot, just trying to deny Park clean touches. Grace not worried about accuracy - she's all about volume - stroking and walloping away with right and left roundhouses. Grace rangy, brawny - getting off, then pushing Missy into ropes - always bullying, mauling and imposing will. Peregrym's defence denies Park any homeruns - but Asian lass racks up a truckload of singles in a shutout 8th.

R9: Missy meeting Grace midring, pushing in with her, trying to stem the tide. Park SO willful - shaking off Missy's slick little hooks and sudden crosses, banging back heavy to ribs and flanks. Missy pushed slowly backwards - it's Grace banging out the exchanges, taking canvas. Ropes: Missy back in the pocket, grimacing under threat; Grace pressing forward, chin out over Missy's left shoulder, long arms lapping lanky, hoisting leather into tender Peregrym ribs. Sloppy at times, with Missy pushing-off with her left elbow, staying cute on her right leg: Grace mauling and crowding, smothering Missy at the apron. Late the round, torrid rights and lefts to the waist momentarily buckle Missy's legs: she gloms on desperate, buttocks trembling with the aftershock of Grace's crunching bodywork.

R10: Grace pouring it to Missy: Peregrym in closed stance, crouching to receive Grace, pushing the left shoulder into Park, then pivoting around her to blunt the relentless pressure. Grace slopping it wide to Missy's ribcage and flanks - belting, numbing attack thrilling to watch. Missy being more selective: Grace's leaving openings - Peregrym clipping away with right uppercuts and swiping hooks off her elbow-pushes. Final minute, Missy disenages - jabbing while stepping back and widening her stance: she's got a little distance. Grace dukes at mouth - dipping side to side, trying to close that gap. Missy easing back and to her left, eyes narrowed - she's slow-playing out the jab, just measuring distance, then RIFLING the right hand! Straight, pulverizing blast - no warning off Missy's shoulder - ramrod shot pounds off Grace's face, punching her head straight back - she's staring at lights. Grace's legs give way - SHE STUMBLES TO ALL FOURS! Missy hooting, jogging away exultant: Park beats the count on shaky legs, but she can't get the knockdown back. Comes back one point duke - Missy Peregrym!

After: Dramatic, come from behind, last minute win for Peregrym - she drops Grace to not only take away what had been a Park round, but to steal a fight that was looking like a 5-rounds-a-piece draw. "I'm thrilled," Missy beams in postfight. "I mean, what a way to finish the year. This is a great springboard fight for 2008 - Grace pushed me to the limit and made me a better fighter tonight."
