KO7 Panettiere
“Punching” Panettiere impressed in a losing bid against Kristin Kreuk—so much so that BLONDE! Magazine dubbed her the “Fresh Face of 2006” as a result of that stirring effort. For once, a BLONDE! Mag darling would live up to her hype, overwhelming solid journeywoman Mitchell in a thrilling display of ballistic, non-stop pressure.
Unable to match the energy, handspeed or sheer enthusiasm of her foe—Mitchell proved a cagey clam against the ropes. Showing peek-a-boo, or closing u stance with her left across her body and her right at her chin. Mitchell slipped and countered as best she could, fitting Panettiere for short, clouting blows to head and body. Hayden’s constant head-movement and tidy punching made her a difficult target, and the sheer volume of her sharp, compact punches had a steady, withering effect upon Beverly. It was a case of Mitchell going back to her corner progressively more beaten up as rounds ground on, while Hayden fairly skipped to her stool, happy to be punching.
For Mitchell, hard lumps and another thank-you-for-coming beatdown. Hayden—a nice pictorial in BLONDE! Magazine complete with lengthy interview, a multitude of covers on mainstream mags, and a growing constituency of fans who enjoy her kinetic, non-stop work ethic. “She’s the best young pressure fighter since Dani Fishel, proclaims BLONDE! Magazine. “Hayden probably won’t be seriously tested until she steps up in class to a Shannen Doherty or Vanessa Marcil. She’s that kind of prospect.”
