Before: Kaley bright-eyed, upbeat for all prefight conferences. "This is a huge opportunity for me," acknowledges the blonde. "Jennifer's the class of the division and you can't take her lightly, but I think I'm ready to start easing her to the sidelines. I think my speed's definitely the difference between us - if Jen has a weakness, it's that she tends to be a little robotic in the ring. I can take advantage of that." Connelly gracious on her side of the dais. "I've said all along that Kaley Cuoco is the future of the bantamweight division, but for right now - I'm the present. Kaley's got all the tools, but she hasn't had the quality of competition you need to prepare for a Jennifer Connelly. She's not ready for me - she thinks she is, but she's not." Hot pink push up and panties from Raquel Welch's 1967 Bedazzled for Connelly - white cami strap tankini for Kaley.
During R1: Kaley on her toes, motoring round the ring, hands loose, low when she's outside. Jennifer pivoting, turning, using the jab to channel Cuoco's rushes, manage the kid's speed. Even round with Cuoco circling, looking to shear in off angles - Connelly patient, using the stick, just-in-time footwork. Down the stretch, Kaley lunges in for a lead hook: Jennifer times it, turns her shoulders into a tighter pre-emptive hook and CUOCO'S HURT! Kaley staggering back outside all wide eyed and spanked - Connelly cool behind her defenses doesn't follow up as the bell rings.
R2: Similar stuff, Kaley legging in a wide circle, probing the defences, looking to dart in - Jen hanging back, using her jab, stepping out to fade, compensating for Cuoco's speed with better timing and judgement. Cuoco stooping to jab the belly, then scooting outside - nibbling little hit and run relatively harmless, but also scoring points. Not the most fan-friendly style, but could be a fight winner if Kaley keeps it up - Jen unable to cut off the ring on lively blonde.
R3: Connelly strong off her stool, taking midring and pounding jabs to the chest and shoulders to back Cuoco to the ropes. Kaley ropeside: right hand at her cheek, left low, chin tucked behind left shoulder - she's dipping, bobbing, pointing the left shoulder at Jen. Connelly crowding, fighting off Kaley's offered shoulder, dukes at her cheeks, dipping and ripping hooks - Connelly bashing away to the chest, tummy, staying in close, bodying up when necessary to keep Kaley pinned. Cuoco tries hooking her way off the ropes, eats a hook on the teeth and Kaley's legs give a little spasm. Jen sees it, redoubles her efforts to Kaley's midsection - hooks really sinking in there as Jen gets her shoulder and hips behind the blows, then pushes blonde back into the ropes. Chopping right hands bounce off Kaley's temple - panic in young blonde's eyes - Kaley's being worked over and she can't get out of there. Midway through, Jennifer HARMING Kaley with clawing 3 punch combos, digging the body, clouting the head - Cuoco twisting and turning her shoulders, trying to ride it out, but Jen's getting through. Series of hooks catches Kaley, each one shaking her up - Cuoco driven skidding to a neutral corner, now extending her hands plaintively, no longer slipping punches like a pro: she's begging Jen to stop with her eyes. Connelly not in a charitable mood, digs in with Kaley all squared up and vulnerable - HAMMERING body blows dig up into Kaley's lungs, pay-off hooks ricochet off her chin and scalp. Poor Cuoco rocked, tilting forward - Jen taking all she wants - now doubling up and tripling right hands up into the ribs with no fear of repraisal. Kaley stooping forward, getting shelled, hard punches ringing her ribs, tits, back and skull and CUOCO GOES DOWN! Kaley stretching out on her face, cheek wet against the canvas - legs writhing on the canvas in a little KO bicycle action. Cuoco rolls to her back, arms out wide, desperately hurt but can't get off her back. KO3 Jennifer Connelly.
After: Cameras capture a memorable shot as Cuoco's counted out: Connelly in profile, looking down haughty as she's strutting away; Kaley on her back, right wrist on her forehead all battered and used. Cuoco devastated by the dismissal - she knows she can go the distance with Connelly - but knowing it and doing it apparently two different things. "I made her quit," Jennifer says simply in postfight. "That's the difference between Kaley and me."
