Before: Navi being boosted as the “Lightweight Dani Fishel” after her wrecking-ball demolition of Rachel Nichols—but boxing insiders cautious about jumping on the Rawat bandwagon just yet.
“Navi’s showing signs of rounding into a real offensive force,” notes one hardboiled “Celebrity Ring” columnist, “but we’ve seen young fighters achieve a certain level of success with sheer enthusiasm before. We don’t know at this point if Rawat’s just a bubble waiting to burst or if she’s a real long-term contender-class fighter. Aside from Ashley Judd, no compact lightweight has really made a dent at the upper echelons of this division—Righetti should be a good test of Rawat’s potential in that regard.”
Amanda chomping at the bit—signed at long last to one of Technetium’s Byzantine multi-clause monster-contracts—she’s anxious to build upon early notoriety won at Eva Larue’s expense some time ago.
“It’s been a long drought for me after defeating Eva,” Amanda admits, “at one time, people were wondering if Jennifer Garner had enough left to compete with me—and now I’m sort of off the radar. I’ve fought a lot of non-televised dates, and I’ve been sparring all along with the bets girls in the business—but it’s a frustrating time for me in terms of exposure. I know TU loves Navi, so that’s a little extra motivation for me: it’s always good to b eat down independents when you know your management team could be scouting them.
Navi in sturdy black bra-top (laced up the front), sporty yellow bikini bottoms, black gloves. Righetti blonde hair up, white bikini top (halter style, silver ring connections), white/pink floral print bikini bottoms, white gloves.
During R1: Hurtling Rawat pressure—Navi out of the gates in that Tyson forward crouch, gloves collected at mouth (as though nibbling the mitts), looking to weave-close and get off hard. Righetti backpedalling early, eyes wide: fearsome Rawar rushes throwing blonde into disarray. Amanda getting tagged as she’s leaning away—midway though she’s clouted a sweeping overhand right that drives her to ropes. Rawat in to clean up with a huge smile—she plows headfirst into Righetti’s chesr to smash Amanda up. RIGHETTI WONT HAVE IT! Mule-stubborn defense at the apron: Amanda tilting forward, gloves at cheeks, forehead rubbing Navi’s—blonde chipping and chipping tidy counterpunches inside Rawat’s herculean swings—Righetti compacy, dangerous off the ropes prevents Navi’s finishing run.
R2: Amanda still trying to negotiate pace, distance—backpedaling, loping, even jogging away from Navi at times to deal with pressure. Rawat’s surging forward: nibbling her mitts as she weaves side to side; issuing stubby little shock-jabs; leaning into savage overhand rights torquing into vicious hooks, Whenever Righetti can be hounded to ropes, Navi bulls in strong: brunette head beneath blonde chin; brunette hands pulling at blonde wrists, pushing at blonde arms, opening up the torso to rampaging swat. Rawat loves to hook the body, then double the lefthand into a carving left uppercut, Righetti doing a nice job either legging away from trouble or tying up on the ropes to minimize damage. Shutout Rawat: she’s the clear aggressor.
R3: More Navi Rawat pressure—Righetti unable to establish anything offensively, just using her legs until she runs out of ring. Righetti at ropes: compact, pulling down Navi’s head, trying to tie up behind Navi’s elbows. Rawat pushing in sweaty, bumping/grinding head, shoulders, elbows—constantly pushing, wrestling with Righetti’s limbs to expose the torso. Righetti’s tanned, toned midsection absorbing tremendous swatting blows: Amanda trusting her body and legs to soak while she protects her chin from Rawat’s clubbing haymakers. Murky third stop-and-go as Navi walks Righetti down, then attempts to subdue her at the ropes: Amanda surviving, if not thriving through 3.
R4: Navi pouring forward, but NOW Amanda’s tracking with the jab, stepping back nin good order—blonde starting to channel brunette into harm on the way in. Righetti using a nifty little swat-parry—just shunting Navi’s jab of-course with the right hand and chopping back a tidy little hook to body: Rawat shuddering on hot contact as Righetti digs in tuff. Righetti getting right hands on Navi with cute little fade-step back forcing Rawat to reach—Amanda able to chop down with the shot, adding to the force. Middle minute sees Rawat wander into several jolting chin and body checks—Righetti finally beating Navi to punches, stopping the Rawat pressure in its tracks. Final minute—Righetti able to convert her interceptions into forward progress: Navi started to stumble backward—instantly exposed as a little amateurish in retreat. Rawat upright, backing straight up—Righetti can step-with and pound her foe walking rights and lefts as Navi stares back in confusion. Late the round, Navi driven to ropes—she’s a stunned beauty, gloves at her mouth, standing upright as Righetti squares away and goes at Navi Holyfield-style. Short, brutal lefts and rights pound at Navi’s face and breasts, punching her from one foot to the other, Navi loosening, looking bleak and hurt and NAVI GOES DOWN! Righetti battering Rawat to hands and knees—blonde breaks into happy smile as she looks down, reveling in the sight of sputtering Navi.
R5: Righetti playing Navi just right: fading back, giving ground and countering early to draw Rawat forward into harm. As Navi gets dinged up, discouraged, her attack slows, making it easier for to track with the jab and put punches together. End of minute 2, Amanda uses her left hand to swat-parry Navi’s right cross aside, then blonde picks brunette up a gorgeous right uppercut bingo on the chin. RAWAT’S HURT! Navi stomping in fence post holes—eyes blinking, moist: Righetti widens stance, hacks away those succulent lefts and rights, popping her hips side to side, keeping the elbows in to get carving leverage. Rawat all busted up/wobbly butt en route to corner at the break: Righetti causing brunette juggernaut to take a deep breath though 5.
RIGHETTI/RAWAT conc.

R6: Navi regroups, shows heart, poise to reassert herself in the sixth. Rawat the boss when she can come forwardf strong—but she’s doing it smarter—deep side to side weaving head movement; stubby, startling jabs out of the crouch. Righetti loping back from pressure, but eventually forced to ropes—then it’s Navi’s amazing curvy strength as she pushes in and smothers long blonde vixen against cable. Squirming, muscular stuff—Righetti straining, and successfully impeding if not repulsing Rawat outright. Navi fighting off Amanda’s chest, working to slash her body shot against waist and ribs, trying for that two-beat uppercut off the body-touch. Grinding Rawat points; Amanda mouth-breathing disheveled.
R7: Brutal trench warfare continues as Amanda’s taken to ropes, but blonde digs in to reject brunette advances. Righetti in wide, parallel stance—pulling down at Navi’s head. dipping side to side to fit in tuff body shots; tying up around head/elbows. Rawat drawn in, chewed up: Righetti showing the masterful apron-defense she used to shock Eva Larue at the dawn of Amanda’s career. Navi showing stout chin, resolute legs, robust body as she’s clearly out hit this round, but manages to hold position on top Amanda bell to bell.
R8: Navi just doesn’t care: She’s getting clipped on the way in, getting hacked as she press Amanda against ropes—but Rawat just insisting herself upon Righetti at all times. Round foght out on a telephone- booth sized patch of canvas at the ropes—Navi pushing in, squirming, wrestling, bludgeoning: Amanda writhing, holding and hitting as best sh can. Grinding, ugly Rawat points—she’s able to tan blonde breadbasket and ribs with some torrid body shots, but still no clean contact of Righetti’s stout chin.
R9: Same again: Where? On the ropes, Amanda’s bacl to cables. When? The entire round. Why? Rawat’s constant pressure and will-to-harm. Squirmy, damp, tummy-to tummy action—both girls often too smothered to do effective damage in there: all about bumping or writhing for punching room and getting off while the getting’s good. Amanda taking to reaching ‘round Navi’s back in a loose clinch about the hips: Rawat keeping hips back, palming Righetti to stabilize her in the grasp, the methodically fitting punches into blonde’s flanks. There they stand—Righetti’s arms encircling, her cheek on Navi’s left shoulder: Rawat just pawing and punching, tucking her fists into tanned blonde body with a meaty, determined spank.
R10: Amanda ragged—VERY durable tonight—but Rawat’s had a good long look at that strong blonde body all night lonmg. Amanda exhausted at ropes, mostly easing Navi into clinches, snuggling her and holding her while Rawat dutifully slugs away if she can. Weird, slow-waltz look whenever Amanda rests her cheek on Navi’s shoulder clinching loose around the waist: Navi just pushing and bracing in the grasp, then working to shove shoulder, clinching loose around the waist: Navi just pushing and bracing in the grasp, then working to shove single punches in around Righetti’s encircling arms. Amanda soaks it up as Rawat can’t get all the leverage she wants out of the posture—brunette content to steadily pound away as ref doesn’t break. Comes back UD10—Navi Rawat.
After: Rawat goes to 2-0 vs. Tech Unlimited, but finding the march to victory much, much harder in this contest. Righetti just giving up too many minutes at the ropes—blonde unable to use her legs to create difficult geometries for brunette—Rawat settles in, gets her body on Righetti and wrings out the points.
“Two for two,” a flushed, worn, but upbeat Navi bleats in postfight, “Technetium fighters don’t train for a Navi Rawat beatdown—they have no concept of what I can bring to the dance. Amanda was supposed to be all big and bad, but I gentled her down right away and probably would have knocked her out if she wasn’t holding me so much.”
So what’s next for the rising young talent?
“Well, I’d love to mop up what’s left of TU, then spread my wings a little. I love to wrestle Erika Christiansen—it’s time she got a taste of my power in the boxing ring. I want to take Katherine Heigl to the ropes and beat her down. I’d LOVE to retire Charisma Carpenter—I think I’m definitely the girl who can get that done. Kaley Cuoco needs to be knocked out ore than any other blonde ditz in boxing: I would TOTALLY love to lay her out. So I’ve got targets in mind, but basically I just want to stay busy, keep winning, and I know good things will come my way eventually!”
