"Jessica's twice the fighter - twice the woman - Hayden is," Vanessa says in prefight. "Trashing Simpson puts me head-and-shoulders ahead of Hayden - and that's where I intend to stay." Simpsy having trouble staying in her seat: Vanessa's cheek sorely vexing, as is Hudgens' Simpsy-baiting in weeks leading up to fight. Vanessa's camp even suggesting a special match-race type episode of American Idol wherein Hudgens and Jessica would sing, the winner to be determined by the nation's vote: Simpson camp rejecting it out of hand as a desperate publicity stunt by a no-name brand celeb. "This isn't the first tramp who's tried to ride my coat-tails," sniffs Jessica at the podium. "Britney, Christina - everybody's always trying to copy me, or look like me, or whatever. Vanessa wants to put her foot on my tummy after this fight - but that's never going to happen. She's a Beverly Mitchell class fighter - nothing more, nothing less - and my jugs will DEFINITELY stop her jugs!" During R1: Simpsy bull-rushes Vanny to ropes - belts her a series of whacking lefts and rights: Hudgens grimacing, covering up - lifts her right foot up, placing it against Jessica's squirming tummy, pushes hard to send Jessi staggering backward. Hudgens catapulting off ropes all snarls - tackling Jessica up high, driving her to canvas - little bodies roll in a wriggling embrace - girls squealing and punching at each other like a couple of catfighters. Ref sorts it out, gives both fighters a rough shake by the arm. Resumption: Jessica beating Vanessa to punches - wading in with lefts and rights, head and shoulders. Vanessa buffetted, hits ropes and comes alive: ropes at her back seems to galvanize Hudgens. Brunette lowers her head, chugs into blonde tummy and trunks with both arms a-pumping: Simpsy crying out, staggers back while trying to tie up. Hudgsens' stampedes Jessica to ropes and ROMPS TO JUG! Vanessa's face lights up as she erupts from crouch, standing up in the stirrups to give Jessi's Double D's a terrible clobbering. Simpsy wailing - eventually headlocks Vannessa, twisting her into ropes: Jessica's little buttocks working their hardest as she stamps and stomps for leverage. Blonde manages to work brunette into a slumped position - Vanny's left side to ropes; Jessi riding her right forearm across Hudgens' upperback to pin her down - Jessica cleans up plugging left hands fat n' loud to Vanny's defenceless right flank to bell. Hudgens wailing - ref tackling Jessica off - chaos ensues as both corners holler foul.

R2,3,4: Impossible to differentiate rounds - girls hurtling into each other all flashing eyes, bared teeth. Wailing, pinwheeling punches drive one or the other to ropes where she covers up shouting in pain until she can answer. Ref issuing a steady stream of warnings - girls holding and hitting, throwing each other to canvas, jumping atop each other whenever one goes down - on and on. After four, little beauties are panting are exhaustion, hair disheveled, but hate unabated.

R5,6: Simpsy getting big on Vanessa as pace slows just a tad - blonde able to work brunette to perimeter and generally maintain top position as Hudgens' reversals become rarer events. Vanessa reaching behind Jessi's arms to tie up, pulling the blonde close for ref's breaks - Simpsy's the aggressor, always pushing right back in after ref separates 'em, keeping pressure on Vanessa. Jessica lowering her head, staying on Vanessa's body with bumping, chugging lefts and rights: Hudgens grimacing, turning either hip into the storm, trying to distribute the beating. Jessica working way up torso, loving it to Hudgens' tidy rack: Vanessa tormented by jugmugging, responds with angry flurries to Jessica's breasts in kind - but this is definitely the blonde's fight. By the end of the sixth, Jessica's being very rough with Vanessa - using the left to push Vanny's face or throat, holding her steady for drifting right hands to chin, stunning brunette by the bell.

R7: Jessica pressing the pace: she's got Vanessa discouraged, stumbling in retreat. Hudgens trying to body-punch Jessica off, but Simpsy winning the exchanges: blonde punches stubbier, heavy-handed, moving the brunette off her stance. Fight bounces to ropes - Jessica wrestling with Vanessa, pinning her down, crowding in close to ride her left arm around Vanny's shoulders while plugging her righty tummy, tits and chin. Ref breaks this stuff up - scolding Jessica for holding and hitting - but Simpsy's colour is high, eyes bright: all she wants is more Vanessa.

R8: Vanessa snivelling when beaten now - sliding along ropes - trying to clinch or get away: she's not punching back with any authority. Jessica still energetic - feet wide, backside quivering as she jams and stamps away from the wide stance. Up and down, up and down - Jessi beating Vanessa about her tummy and hips, then clubbing her head and shoulders, detouring to jug with raucous palm-down criss cross stamping: good times, good times. Vanessa blurting out in pain, blubbering - crossing her arms and breaking down: ref finally steps in to hug little Vanny to safety. TKO8, Jessica Simpson.

After: Simpsy making repeated attempts to get at woozy Vanessa on her stool: Sophia Bush playing offensive lineman, pushing Jess back, stepping-with as blonde tries to get round - there'll be no smothering of a defenceless Hudgens tonight. Too much power and experience in the Krusher corner - Simpsy used to raucous, brawling free-for-alls and excelling at mindless action: Vanessa fighting Jessi's fight comes up just a little short.
