Before: Scarlett on the bubble: promising ingenue the kind of talent that could hold an FCBA championship and win an Oscar in the same year - but crisis of confidence has buxom blonde questioning herself in the wake of devastating setbacks to veteran boxers. "I just need to step back, refocus and kick someone's ass," Scarlett tells reporters in prefight. "I know I'm as good as Jenny and Kelly - I know I can compete on that level - but still, I need to get some rounds in where my legs are the boss, my fists are dictating. You can't just fight Connelly-class bantamweights every time out, or you're going to wear down. Devon's a good young fighter, but she's a tune up, you know? I just want to get back into tune, and she's the girl I'm going to use." Aoki ill-amused: Devon climbing the ranks and making a name for herself as an up-and-coming ingenue - she's not buying the high-hand Scarlett's giving her. "Johansson's over-rated," Devon says with certainty. "Everyone rushed to judgment on her when she beat Mendes, but Scarlett's a fat, spoiled, mealy-mouthed little tramp who isn't going to be doing any tuning up in this fight. I'm going to get all over Scarlett's business and show her what a hungry fighter's all about. When I lay her out, maybe you guys can show me just a little of the love you've been giving her. I deserve it: she doesn't." Devon in bright red string bikini (DOA), red gloves; Scarlett in soft blonde curls, midnight blue push up and panties, silver/grey lace trim, white gloves.

During R1: Southpaw Scarlett (right foot forward) sets up on orthodox Devon (left foot forward) - pleasing stuff as energetic lasses potshot each other out of flat-footed stances. Devon's right tight to her chest, left across her body - she'll duck low to her right to make Scarlett's left hand miss over top. Scarlett equally supple, dipping down and to her left to make Devon's right hands miss over top. Johansson mixing things up more - she'll occasionally put the straight left into Devon's midsection or left breast, and Scarlett's right hook bounces off Aoki's shoulder or skull at times. Devon basically pitching hard right hands - straight shots, or a kind of 3/4 overhand right - neither of which make much of a dent.

R2: Devon pressing the action now, taking the fight to Scarlett's body and backing blonde to ropes. Sumptuous stuff - Aoki stacking Johansson, then batting away righty - shivering straight arm shots bouncing off Johansson's tummy and ribs as Devon crowds in close off Scarlett's right shoulder. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 unanswered blows - Johansson grimacing, bobbing up and down - but she's getting lapped at here as Aoki works. Devon shifting her feet, setting up on Johansson's RIGHT shoulder and batting straight arm hooks off the body - terrific spanking action as once again Aoki beats away with multiple strokes. Johansson slipping, twisting to either side to pull slicing shots back at Devon - Scarlett pretty slick at the ropes - getting whaled on, but catching Aoki overcommitting at times in busy back-and-forth action. Scarlett's trainer during break: "She's being very aggressive with you Scarlett - I want you to turn her, don't let her get off flat footed, and you beat her to punches okay? Touch her, baby - touch her, turn her and keep your back off the ropes".

R3: Scarlett responds - cute little lead lefts straight to Aoki's breasts or mouth, nifty counter-clockwise pivots keep Devon turning midring. Scarlett shooting that lead left like a set up jab, then twisting, easing weight to back (left) foot to pull her hook across: Johansson starting to score with regularity to Devon's head. Aoki forced to match wits with Scarlett - conventional stance hinging against southpaw stance midring - Devon shooting right hands, Scarlett lefts. Both girls bending at the waist - Aoki's long hair gently brushing her backbone as she weaves Scarlett's thrusting pokes.

R4: Ringadingdong slugging - Aoki aggressively forward, punching hard right hands and batting come back hooks as Scarlett bobs and weaves. Johansson slick with her weight shifts - effortlessly bracing on one leg or the other to swipe her punches at Devon. Minute mark - Aoki finally busts Scarlett a right hand flush in the mouth: Johansson staggering awkwardly back on her heels, hits ropes shabby. ON COMES DEVON! Crowding in over SJ's right shoulder - Devon's left arm trapping Scarlett's right: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 straight-arm rights bat at Scarlett's tummy, nipping an inch or two of trunks in the bargain. AOKI'S TAKING JUGG! Devon curling her right arm, tightening up stroke to buffet Scarlett's magnificent rack: Johansson sobbing out, looking frazzled as Asian lass takes it to her. Scarlett finally able to clinch, gets a ref's break - Devon impatiently pushing her way back in, gloves batting together at her chest. HAMMER AND TONGS! Scarlett fighting hurt, bearing her teeth to thrust lead lefts, come-back right hooks - Devon looking to jam another straight right into Scarlett's mouth and AOKI'S HURT! Devon clubbed upside the head by Johansson's hard-to-read right hook - Aoki clipped again and once more by hooks, gets clubbed to ropes. SCARLETT'S ALL IN! Johansson pounding her straight left into left side of Devon's jaw - doubling it up, then coming with the right hook, snatching it as she shifts weight to left (back) foot. Scarlett back in with the straight left, spearing it down into Aoki's smooth belly; back with the right hook atop Devo's head as Asian lass groans forward. Devon's turn to suffer - she's very brave, taking Scarlett's heaviest licks as blonde belts away on brunette to bell.

R5: Another punishing round for Aoki: Scarlett starting to impose will. Devon visibly slower now - pawing her left hand, not moving her upperbody as sinuously: Johansson's catching her over and over again with that slick lead left hand to jaw. Scarlett scoring on DEvon, then pivoting - blonde wheeling counterclockwise on her right (front) heel, exposing Devon's left flank. By the midway point, Johansson's really opening up on Devon - ripping hooks to flank and ear, potshotting those straight lefts to mouth and tummy. Aoki's head snapping back, knees buckling on several occasions - she's looking shabby, turning-with Scarlett but not cutting her off. Shutout Johansson - as girls pass en route to corners - Johansson impulsively reaches her left hand back without looking to clap a disheveled Aoki on her rump.

R6: DEVON ANSWERS! Nothing fancy - Aoki rushing Scarlett, brawling and mauling her to ropes, then setting up so as to trap either Johansson arm while batting at her the free mitt. Devon's straight arm delivery harsh, bitter - her mitt gouging into Scarlett's decadent flesh. Aoki constantly, constantly at Scarlett's breasts, tightening up stroke to clout those magnificent wonders with bite. Johansson grimacing, slumping against ropes, trying to bob-and-weave in the pocket: Aoki's roughhousing holding and hitting taking away a lot of blonde options in there. Devon goes bell to bell, puts Scarlett wobbly butt - this time it's Aoki sending Scarlett home with a great clapping right hand to buttocks, bringing a drowsy pout to Johansson's lips in response.

R7: When Scarlett can operate out of a widened, flat-footed southpaw stance midring - she totally dominates the action. Devon in a mirroring wide stance - bending to her right to slip shots, trying to come back the right hand, but Johansson just too supple and smart. Johansson potshotting out of her stance - dipping to her left to make Devon miss, then placing firm left hands on chin or chest - really wonderful, sensual stuff as the girls weave and pitch at each other. Johansson's hook hard for Devon to read - it's bouncing off skull or left shoulder with some consistency - Scarlett the master of distance and timing this round. Down the stretch - girls still working out of that hinged orthodox/southpaw orientation: Johansson feints, then drops the tidiest, straightest left hand she's thrown, startling Devon on her jaw. AOKI GOES DOWN! Devon just caught cold, dropped to her backside - she punches canvas in frustration, gets up quickly, takes a frustrating 8 as Johansson struts all cocky-blonde to neutral corner.

R8: Scarlett feints, then brings the lead left hand, leaning in to poke it onto Devon's chin: Aoki's hurt again! Devon clearly distressed, legs faltering as she stumbles to ropes for support: she's breaking down as Johansson pounces, squares up, goes at her girl with both dukes. Scarlett prodding with her left hand - just extending it into Aoki's guard, then twisting viciously back with right hooks, taking Aoki above the left hip and hard across the cheek. Another brutal, bad beating soaked up by Devon: little Asian lass a trooper, but she's starting to get shelled - really should be taking a knee to relieve this pressure. Scarlett well-oiled, slashing away on Devon, keeping her hurt, occasionally going to Aoki's stomach with plugging left hands to compliment all those lathering hooks. Bell: Aoki crying, stunned - sight of it causes Johansson to break into a sunny smile as ref moves in.

R9: Scarlett feints, gets that sneaky hesitation left onto left side of Devon's chin: there go Aoki's legs again. Devon reeling hurt to ropes, eyes glassy, lips parted - she's just not seeing Scarlett's southpaw delivery clearly. Johansson rosey-cheeked, striding in all grins - she helps herself to a brace of batting right hands, beating briskly at Devon's paunch and ribs in payback. AOKI WON'T HAVE IT! Devon being bullied, suddenly stiffens off the ropes, catching Scarlett a drifting right/left combo to toggle blonde head side to side. Johansson clearly amazed - she backs off, gets on her bicycle, leading Devon a merry chase as Aoki grimly walks her girl down. Scarlett just catching a breather, takes much of the round off, skipping and pivoting around, jugs a-sloshing as hurting Devon tries to close without success.

R10: Give her credit: little Devon's got heart. Aoki lumped up, well beaten tonight, but she's still trying to match her right hand against Scarlett's left in midring potshotting, still trying to crowd in and overload Johansson to the body. Scarlett complaining of sore hands during the last break - she's just making contact now, scoring and pivoting rather than committing for the KO. Johansson looking nice and smooth - hesitation lead lefts setting up those oily right hooks as she shifts weight to left foot, then pivoting on her right heel to turn Devon's left flank. Scarlett too classy - she takes the 10th, takes the fight via UD10.

After: Aoki busted up, pouting: all the heart in the world but too few tools to deal with a crafty southpaw tonight. Scarlett beaming - she paints a minor masterpiece on Devon, showed some heart herself under intense pressure at points during the match - certainly a step in the right direction following recent disappointments. "She's got a lot of fight in her," a cheery Scarlett admits in postfight. "I had to work hard to break her down and discourage her, but I finally broke Devon's spirit tonight."
