Before: "My goal is to blow the doors off Rachel," A bright eyed Yvonne asserts in prefight. "Get her hurt, get her gone. My career is going to be defined in fights with Erica Durance, Ali Larter - girls like that: there's no room in my business plan for an extended campaign to suppress Rachel. I'm fighting to annihilate her, and show I belong in with the sportier names at lightweight."

Nichols scoffing at the idea of a dominant Yvonne: Rache just not convinced. "Strahovski's got a great boxing body," Nichols shrugs, dismissing even as she's complimenting, "but so far, what's that gotten her? She was a decent rookie - pretty enough - but she doesn't win tough fights and can't handle stubborn resistance. I'm going to box her ears, touch her up - embarrass her a bit before I'm done. Yvie's got more work to do than she realizes. SO much more!"

During R1: Strahovski snarling, eyes blazing: she's at Rachel quickly, jabbing her stiff. Strahovski roaming to her left - pivoting around poke; Rachel dukes up, blocking shots, weight on right (back) foot - waiting for the openings. Not much there for Rache: Strahovski jabbing up and down, swiftly rotating clockwise; dropping in the odd sharp right hand to back Nichols off. Rachel unhurt, but a little bedazzled by Yvonne's crisp aggression.

R2: More Yvonne jabbing - pumping stick to chest and tummy - pivoting smartly left after scoring. Rachel looking to time Yvonne for counter-hooks - foiled for the most part by Strahovski's clockwise rotation (away from Rachel's left). Fierce exchange midway through sees bitter two-way punching: both women elbows-in, choppin' 'em short, blazing away with tic-tac-toe venom. Yvonne's final hook in the sequence claps Rachel's chin: Nichols forced to back off, suddenly knock-kneed. HARD right hand to the body, Yvonne: Strahovski stepping in wide, diving down and spanking the straight, palm-down shot off Rachel's gleaming ribs. Big spank sends Nichols to ropes in agony, face twisted in grimace as Yvonne walks her down, pours on tidy chopping lefts and rights to bell.

R3: Yvonne quickly at Rachel - doubling up the jabs; turning over the right cross; finishing up the lashing hook in Rachel's body. Nichols shying away with moist how-could-you eyes: she's hurt to the body, cringing slightly. Yvonne heartless - closing at the hop, slugging-with and enjoying Rachel with crisp, chopping lefts and rights delivered in rapid tandem. Nichols out-punched, driven to ropes: she goes defensive, face-in-gloves, left foot forward, weight on right leg. Yvonne attacking with vigor: CHOPPING at Rachel's hips and flanks with vicious elbows-in hacking delivery. Glorious clapping wallop sounding out from Rachel, shaking her in her stance: Yvonne sinuous here, lashing at her prey - blonde stomach muscles shredding into relief as she torques side to side on her hips. It's all too much for Nichols: groaning Rachel sinks to right knee, eyes brimming: Yvonne steps immediately back, refusing to foul her downed foe, automatically obeying ref's instructions. Shaky 8, Rachel: Yvonne quickly at her, attacking Nichols' foxhole at ropes. Rache showing face-in-gloves, elbows in tight to throbbing body: OH, Yvonne's having-at her! CHUP! CHUP! CHUP! Ferocious licks delivered - Yvonne baring teeth - hacking away with elbows in close to her hips as she twists side to side, whacking the bejesus out of Rachel's ribcage. Shuddering Nichols visibly wilting - too hurt to punch: she sustains several brutal seconds before bending the knee a second time, snivelling as ref's barking out the count. Nichols rises at 8, sagging into ropes and folding forward behind her mitts. OH how Yvonne DIGS at her! Strahovski's leggy body tense as she sets and rips - twisting into whacking licks to flanks; dipping to gouge her left uppercut to Rachel's sternum. Savage body attack produces a third knockdown with seconds left in the round. Rachel shuddering, bawling on all fours: she can't beat the count, knocked out to the body as bell rings. KO3 Yvonne Strahovski.

After: Devastating performance earns Strahovski a standing ovation from the audience and a 'Next Big Thing' label from BLONDE! Magazine. Yvonne resplendent - just bursting in the ring as poor Rachel is tenderly taken to her stool for TLC. "That's exactly what I wanted," Yvonne crows in postfight, beaming prettily for cameras. "I'm not a Rachel Nichols level fighter - that's what I wanted to prove, and look at her: ruined! When I turn it on - when I'm firing on all cylinders? There's no woman in hollywood who can stand against me. I know I'm still learning my craft, and I've still got a lot of doubters - but years from now, I think we'll be looking back at this fight as the one where I turned it all around!"
