Before: Strapping Italian globetrotter usually a big buxom welter, makes middleweight just to meet Hunter on Aussie turf. Rachel the naturally heavier woman, with a wealth of experience to draw upon can still punch, remains to be seen if she's got the leg necessary to keep up with younger women. Falchi little known outside of continental Europe - world tour starting downunder designed to raise her international profile, with eventual designs on invading the US sometime soon. Anna in pale blue bikini top, retro navy bikini bottoms with stylized hipster belt (see picture at annafalchi.it for the look), Rachel in orange bikini, wide halter cups. Fought outdoors, ring set up on a converted beach volleyball court.

During R1: Hunter laying down the law with a lead pipe jab in the chest and a blockbuster right hand chaser - Rachel adept at landing hard, then getting her hands on Anna to either push the big blonde in the shoulders or wrap her up tight for breaks. Falchi swinging for the fences but routinely getting beaten to the punch by Hunter's thudding stick - ex supermodel doing a nice job of punch and clutch for points early.

R2: Anna belting Rachel in the side with some sweeping right roundhouses - punches powerful enough to knock the redhead off stride. Hunter stays composed, gloves up, and midway through, she bends into a short right cross, kissing it off Anna's mouth to beat Falchi to the wide right - Anna staggered as supermodel gets her weight behind the punch. Hunter bodying up, walking her girl to the ropes - Rachel gets big n' beefy on her girl as Falchi soaks it up to the body. Anna crumpling to a seat on the ropes as Hunter abuses her - pitching lefts and rights find the belly with heartstopping power - Falchi swooning forward to clinch - Italian's hurting at the bell. Goes as a 10-8 without the knockdown - Anna stumbling, nearly out on her feet as Hunter gets into her hard.

R3: Falchi showing youthful recuperative powers - she shakes off the beating, comes at Rachel with clubbing overhand rights and showy wide left hooks. Hunter partially blocking the telegraphed incoming, but she's getting backed up, unable to get off much herself. Importantly - Falchi is able to body up and walk Hunter back for the first time in the fight - both big women want to be the stronger girl in this one.

R4: Anna pawing with the jab - not as technically sound as Rachel's but it's enough to keep the Aussie defensive behind a high guard. Falchi stepping forward with shunting rights to the rib cage and breasts - just stabbing the fist in palm down while Rachel protects her face.

R5: Blockbuster punching from both women as the girls take turns palming and jostling each other, then clocking the opposing jaw with hard right hand. Falchi rendered wobbly butt early on, soundly beaten as she covers up in stupor while Hunter clobbers away with brawny lefts and rights. Anna recovers midway through, starts punching with Rachel and harms the red head by beating her to the hook, then scorching her a right hand on the chin. Final minute a boozy waltz as the women fall into one another's arms - both badly hurt and leg weary, just trying to muscle one another's backs to the ropes.

R6: Another draw - Girls clipping each other with hard right hands as they fall in, then it's cheek to cheek, wrestling with each other's arms, straining mightily to walk the other to the ropes. Ref issuing breaks - pushing sweaty big-bodies apart - not a lot of scoring either way.

R7: Falchi lands a nice right cross early that has Hunter backing away - Anna walking her foe down with a beefy left hand in the belly and more bashing right hands up around the high guard. RAchel cringing as FAlchi lands thick in the belly, redhead forced up against the ropes and she takes a SHELLACKING right hand off the side of the face that has the Aussie momentarily stupified. All Anna as she loads up and swings away at the flanks and arms of her girl - Hunter badly rocked, covering up and getting battered. Down the stretch, RAchel successfully locking up, hanging on to escape the round.

R8: Girls circling warily, teasing each other with measuring lefts, then Rachel rockets over the top a spearing right on the chin - Falchi straightening up, then collapsing backwards dazed - on comes Hunter! Rachel palming her left in Anna's chest, then plowing home the right on the face, rocking onto her back foot to pull that hook into Falchi's mammoth bosom. Anna out on her feet, clinching to slow the big redhead down - Rachel bodying her girl into the ropes and working out of the wrap. Big beefy beat down the rest of the way, Rachel making Anna feel the weight, working the Italian's bronzed gut, shoving and propping her up for thumping lefts and rights on the ribs.

R9: Sloppy stop and go mugging action - girls gambling on big right hands then immediately clinching to smuggle the receipt. Falchi proving stronger in the clinches, straining to muscle her girl up against the ropes, then smuggling in punches out of the clinch to the belly, breasts and ear. Hunter getting brawled onto her heels, can't get anything going this round.

R10: Girls circling clockwise, often extending lefts to touch one another simultaneously, both women looking to lean into those blistering right hands. Half way through it happens - Falchi takes a right on the chin, immediately answers back a drifting right on the mouth and Hunter is stunned! Falchi showing nice handspeed and placement for a big woman - swinging the left to bounce off Rachel's drowsy face, then cracking her another big right hand to put Hunter ropeside. Anna squaring away and plundering the weepy redhead - Rachel with her gloves at her temples, folded up nearly double as Anna stands up tall, lugs away underneath with jackhammer rights to the stomach, swats along the upperback and into the side with batting hooks - Italian pours on the drubbing to the bell. Comes back a very close UD10 for Anna Falchi.

After: Anna bouyant in victory, smiling, strutting - Italian was behind on all cards going into the 9th - Rachel's legs finally getting old down the stretch. "Sucks to be Rachel!" Anna quips in postfight, "Maron - did you SEE the body punches I was landing in her?" Solid win on foreign soil for Falchi - she's a go anywhere, fight anyone kind of gal.
