BEFORE: "Oh, I can't wait," says a beaming Amy Jo (black t-shirt reads Amy Jo 1: Foxfire 0 in pink). "Hayden's a bubble waiting to burst, and I'm the pin. I'm too fast for Hayden, too smart - I'm going to frustrate her spirit, tire out her body. When she starts getting tentative, I'll slowly take it to her and have some fun. I won't rule out a knockout, but I'm not pushing for it: I want this girl to stick around for a while and take what's coming!" Hayden scowling: tuff talk always gets her blood up. "Amy Jo's just another blowhard looking for a butt-kicking," Panettiere says at the podium. "I'm not doing anything different for her - you guys all know that I bring the fight to girls, make 'em work like they've never worked before, and hurt them when they start to fall apart. That's it - no mystery. Amy Jo's gonna suffer, then quit: I'm walking out of that ring with another win - end of story." Hayden in white/red/pink horizontal barred bikini; small white gloves; tidy battle bun. Amy Jo in pink halter sport top; pink boy cut trunks with white hip belt; small white gloves; puncher's ponytail. Amy Jo goes nose to nose with Hayden during stare down as crowd hoots in appreciation.

During R1: Bouncy, upbeat, ferocious. Amy Jo: eyes wide; punching straight, stiff lead rights to Hayden's bobbing skull/shoulders; ripping the left hook across Hayden's front. Panettiere crossing her arms, bobbing/weaving, spitting stubby jabs; hacking her way close with short rights - anything to work her way in. Amy Jo bounding backwards, circling to her right - scowling. Hayden scooting-to, keeping immense pressure on mobile brunette. Hayden finally gets her way over the last minute: Amy Jo forced to ropes. Panny jamming her head into Amy Jo's left clavicle - elbows in tight, fists at her mouth: she starts rippin' - tucking tuff little rights and lefts into Amy Jo's torso and tummy. Amy Jo getting bumped and bruised - fighting back hard: she's curling tight little right uppercuts (her fist finishing up at her left shoulder on follow through); batting hooks at Hayden's right flank. Bell: ref has to pull Hayden off - blonde issuing no free passes for Amy Jo in the first.

R2: Similar round. Amy Jo very mobile, crisp punching, turning Hayden, pushing her off, doing everything possible to maintain distance. Hayden working just as hard to COLLAPSE distance - crossing arms, blocking shots; bobbing and weaving to slip shots; jabbing as she encroaches. Takes a couple of minutes, but eventually, Amy Jo just runs out of ring - grimacing as Hayden crowds her to ropes. Panettiere settling in on chest - forehead on clavicle, shoulders rotating, fists pummelling, digging, bouncing off Amy Jo's torso. Johnson leaning back into ropes with that tight little right uppercut; leaning into Hayden with hands low, looking to lap at Panettiere underneath. Bell: ref pulls Hayden off; Amy Jo bytches at the ref about Hayden's late hitting.

R3: Same again - but Hayden's pressure taking effect much quicker: Amy Jo hounded to ropes a minute in. Johnson baring her teeth, working hard: she's clipping Hayden some nasty little shots: right uppercuts; choppy rights on the left eye; left uppercuts; left hooks. Amy Jo occasionally fighting her way off the ropes, chin out over Hayden's shoulder, Amy Jo's hands dangling, lifting punches up into Hayden's sturdy ribcage. Panettiere's head grinding into brunette clavicle, fists beating at Amy Jo: breasts, ribs, tummy all on sale. Hayden always able to walk Amy Jo back into the ropes and punish her - brunette increasingly trying to tie up rather than sponge-and-answer. Bell: Hayden burying her hook over and over to Amy Jo's paunch: Johnson shouting out "TUMMY, REF!"

R4: Fight goes right to ropes: Hayden on top. Again, Johnson competitive as hell - leaning back into cables to get her right uppercuts off; leaning into Hayden to swap underneath. Panettiere taking Amy Jo's best leather and hammering back at her in bushels: it's a constant bumping pummelling, blonde to brunette. Every once in awhile, Hayden will shoulder Amy Jo off and clout her head blunt little right hands: Johnson taking it, but looking groggy, grimly laying back in with Hayden. Body work constant from Panettiere - fists digging at tummy, scrounging at rib and breast. Hayden also deploying a cruel wide right in behind Amy Jo's left elbow: the punch fitting in palm-down. Hayden's bread and butter a constant, repetitive hook dug short to sternum and tummy: Amy Jo's mouth wide open at the bell as ref pulls Hayden off by her shoulders.

R5: Fight goes to ropes - Hayden enjoying a wider and wider spread as Amy Jo's output drops. Johnson listless, sullen, trying to catch her breath as pumping punches beat her torso. Hayden rough with her head; bumping and pawing at Amy Jo to prep her, then just turning on short, vicious punches. Hayden just twisting to the right, jerking in the hook, or twisting left to chop a right home: punches bashing against Amy's biceps and breasts, beating down her guard and scoring against her face. Johnson leaning into Hayden's head with the left shoulder - lifting punches up off her thighs to work stubborn blonde paunch: brunette unable to back blonde off.

R6: Amy Jo ragged, breaking down, eyes haunted and bleak: there's just too much Hayden coming at her, every minute, every round. Blonde head finds brunette left shoulder/clavicle; blonde fists chug and dig, working the tummy, the ribs, the biceps and breasts. Amy Jo's eyelashes fluttering, mouth open - her hands reach round Hayden's back, or occasionally snatch licks off Hayden's tummy - but brunette unable to tie blonde up for ref's breaks. Hayden working, working, working, pushing and mauling when she's not getting off: she's systematically beating the fight out of Amy Jo Johnson through 6.

R7: Amy growing sluggish - face slack, only dimly registering pain when she's dug to the body, or clouted to temple. Hayden head-down, elbows in, shoulders rotating: she's in a little world of her own, beating Amy Jo into stupor. Hayden a wonder with that little hook - short thrusts all back, hips and legs, no backswing - really more of a shoving motion as she jams away again and again and again to Amy Jo's midsection. Johnson's eyes frowned shut - she's drooping forward, hands reaching around Hayden, but not slowing her. Amy Jo drifting out on the ropes, but Hayden's punching and stacking keeping the brunette on her feet: some ringsiders who have a clear view start screaming for fight to be stopped. Amy Jo sleepy - still pawing at Hayden - ref thinks she's still trying to win. Hayden digging - shouldering Amy off and clouting her: STOP IT REF! Hayden crowding in there, thrusting her little hook into Amy's tummy: Johnson's mouthpiece dribbles over Hayden's left shoulder and down her back as Johnsons's head lolls onto Hayden's shoulder. Finally, Hayden's own trainer arrives, pulling his fighter off helpless Amy. Johnson out on her feet, mumbling: "help...hurt..." TKO7 Hayden Panettiere.

After: Hayden exulting for a moment, then expressing concern as battered Amy Jo is helped to her stool: Panettiere taking the time to cup a hand behind Amy's head, kiss her on the hair and congratulate her on a great fight. "I just wanted to smash her when we got in there," Hayden says in postfight. "She was being really mean and jealous, so I just went at her as hard as I could - but I didn't realize how hurt she was. I won - that's the main thing - I hope Amy Jo's ok and I want her to know there's no hard feelings on my part. I don't ever want to ruin anyone - I just want to win, and make sure the other girl respects me, because a lot of girls aren't very respectful at the start."
